Hi all! I’ve lurked quite a bit and I used to be on the nest.
We are expecting our first! Due somewhere around August 27. We have a cute little dog named Max who is the love of my life haha. He’s so sweet. I rescued him 3 years ago.
We recently moved from Toronto to Amsterdam so I could do my MBA so I am currently an MBA student. It will be very interesting seeing what happens the next 9 months. I am soooo excited to be pregnant but soooo shocked.
We also found out yesterday that my SIL is pregnant and due in July!
I am 28 and my H is 32. We’ve been trying for about 4 months but since I have endo, I didn’t think it would happen soon.
FTM here, and nervous as ever! I have been with BD for about 4 months so this was unexpected for the both of us but we are over the moon with joy.
My doctor anticipates that I am around 6 weeks (that was last Monday, so now almost 7). The first appointment isn't until January 3rd, so right now just playing the waiting game.
So far the pregnancy hasn't been too bad. The worst I would say would be the exhaustion and food aversions. I'm a huge foodie so not being able to find anything appealing has been awful.
Hi there!! I'm 37, a STM, and THRILLED to be finally back in a birth month board! EDD 8/21! (Trying to remember all the Bump lingo etc from 5 years ago, ha!) I have a soon-to-be 5yo son, and DH and I have been married for 13 years. We waited until late in the game to try (we're both military AND we had custody of my now 19yo stepson, so timing was just never right!) and then we had lots of fertility probs. My 5yo is a Clomid baby and this go-round, we went through 5 Clomid and 3 Femara cycles without any luck. I had a lap to remove a giant ovarian cyst in November, so we took the next cycle off before beginning IUI in Jan and OMG, we conceived naturally!!! I'm over the moon but SO anxious about this little bean being sticky. ❤️❤️
Hi! DH and I have a 3.5yr DD and just found out today actually that we are having another! Due date calculator says August 28. Excited to have a group of people to go on this journey with!
Im excited to be on here but nervous just like a lot of you. I’m 30, 31 this Jan, my hubby is 31. Due date 8/17.
I had a chemical pregnancy last month which was emotionally trying. Especially because there were thoughts it was an ectopic but here we are next month hoping it’s a sticky one. We waited 3 years before trying with school and long distance so I’m cautiously optimistic but not letting myself get excited till we have our scan.
This will be our first and while I’m a physician myself, it feels like I know nothing at all and at the same time know too much.
I am 38 and a FTM. After having a loss at 9 weeks in March of this year and several cycles of clomid and now on my 2nd cycle of femara I finally got my positive tests! I'm beyond excited and nervous at the same time. My EDD is 8/27.
Hey All! My name is Brittany. I’m 30 and my SO is 30. We’ve been married 10 years and we just found out I’m pregnant with #4... oh boy. I’m no stranger to the community, I’m semi active on the boards. I have rough pregnancies and tend to fizzle out or just lurk by the third trimester but I love being part of everything!
I have all boys so far Sam 5, Zeke 3(in feb) and Micah who just turned 1 last month. It would be cool to have a girl but in all honesty having all boys sounds like a blast. We also have a Great Dane named Penny, rabbits, chickens and cats. We live with my little sister and her SO. They breed Siberian Huskies so at the moment there are 5 adult huskies that live in kennels and 2 litters of puppies running around our home. It’s chaos but I love it!
This pregnancy wasn’t planned. My SO was done with 3... my SO also likes me a little and hates condoms sooo. Looks like EDD 08/27 for me. I have experience with loss so we are praying for a sticky baby. Hope to get to know most of you better!
Hey all! 37 yo STM. EDD 8/24 but DS was a preemie so I’d be ecstatic with a 40-42 weeker. DS is almost 10 (in Feb). I had some medical issues that prevented us from having another before now and we are thrilled. I was active on the nest/bump eons ago and I’ve already seen that much has changed. I’ll try to keep up and also be on the AMA post (dear god I wish there was another term ha!). Best wishes for healthy pregnancies to everyone!
@missbmama Hey! I saw your little icon and I was like OMG YAY!!! Haha! And then I saw your comment to me! 💗 Congrats! And happy late birthday to Micah! I can't believe they're already one! (And your almost 3 year old is a month off from my almost 3 year old... We could've been BMB buddies x3!)
Hello everyone! FTM here and beyond excited EDD 08/28. I am really hoping I'm not jinxing myself by posting here but after 4 days of BFPs including one on a digital today I'm feeling more comfortable. This was my first IUI cycle and honestly I didn't expect it to work.
MH is a firefighter and I have a nerve condition which limits me to work from home. I love to crochet and I am still learning how to knit. We are both 36 so lucky me I'm considered AMA. We also have three dogs that love kids and babies so I'm excited for them to have one of their own!

Hi all. STM-to-be. Just found out that our expected due date is August 11, but the ob is going to do another ultrasound to confirm in two weeks. We have a daughter who is 17 months old. TB saved my sanity during my first pregnancy, and I can't wait to get to know all of you for this one.
Hi Ladies! FTM here with all of the anxiety and questions/nerves that come with that. I'm coming over from TTGP and EDD is 8/22. This pregnancy is a result of IVF. We did 2 retrievals this year and transferred one embryo earlier this month. I was waiting for my second beta before posting, it came back with a good increase and here I am. I'm also AMA. I am a mental health professional in a healthcare setting. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies!

Hi everyone! FTM here, due August 19th. DH and I have been married for 7 years and are very excited for a new addition to our family. We've been putting off kids while both of us focused on grad school. I got my Master's in August and DH is finally done with coursework (still has to write his dissertation) so this timing works out well! I'm looking forward to being part of the BMB since we currently live several states away from our families and most of our close friends.
As Brittany Spears once said “oops I did it again”.
Surprise 4th time Mom here! DD Aug 11. We were scheduling DH’s vasectomy in January and I had my IUD taken out because of issues. Well, one time is all it took. If you had told my 27 year old self who dealt with YEARS of infertility to get pregnant with my first that I would have an accidental fourth pregnancy when I had just turned 38 I would have laughed in your face. Man, it’s ironic. I’m still trying to wrap my head around this because my kids are 10, 7 and 5, and we were just entering a really easy stage. Here we go again!
Hi there! 38yo STM here. I am so excited to finally join this BMB. I have been lurking for the last week. We have a son that just turned 3 at the end of November and I can’t wait for him to have sibling. Keeping my fingers crossed for a sticky and healthy LO. Looking forward to getting to know you all better. I was fairly regular on TTCAL and recognize quite a few names from the TTGP board. Looks like August is shaping up to be a epic month!
This is my 4th pregnancy of 2018. I have had three miscarriages (MC in May, MMC with D&C July and CP November) leading up to this one so I have been hanging in the shadows to see how this one goes. My betas have looked great over the last 5 days: 60 -> 130 -> 632 yesterday. I am feeling very hopeful! I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve and we were just starting the process with a reproductive endocrinologist when we found out we were pregnant again. Luckily I get pregnant easily. It’s just the matter of finding a good egg.
Hello all! So grateful to finally be able to return to this board and join the August 2019 birth month club four years after having my first. After three years of trying and two rounds of FET, I finally got a BFP! Double finger crossed for this one to stick. Happy pregnancy to us all!
Quick intro: DH and I are 33yo, married for 5 yrs, and have a beautiful 4yo little girl. We suffered secondary IF but really wanted to give our little girl a brother or sister. We finally made the decision to do IVF this spring and after a couple rounds, finally got our BFP this month. EDD 8/24/19. It still felt surreal after such a long and difficult journey. We are almost too afraid to feel happy or excited yet. Keeping our fingers crossed till we go to our first prenatal ultrasound on 1/2/19. I think after seeing the baby and confirming a heartbeat will really make things sink in. In the mean time, we will celebrate this Christmas with the best present we could hope for.
Hi ladies - I’ve been creeping on the boards for a couple of weeks now and finally decided to bite the bullet
This will be my first, so a little nervous for everything to stick! EDD is Aug 14, I’ll be exactly 6wks tomorrow (according to LMP). DH and I have been married almost 3 years, together for 10 come February. I’m 29, he’s 28 - but only for another month! We currently live in San Francisco but are from NY originally, which is where our entire family (both sides) is located. Excited to tell our families but waiting for that first dr appointment on 1/9 to make sure everything is fine!
Hello everyone!!! I’ve been creeping around the board and reading some cool discussions/posts so thought it was about time I introduced myself 🙃 Hubby and I have been married for just over a year - we are expecting our first & we are SO EXCITED!!!! I figure I’m about 7 weeks along (due date Aug 7th) but am eager for my first doctor appt for confirmation!
First doctors appt is today and then we plan to tell our parents on Christmas Day 😊 and some close friends after. Keeping this a secret from my mom and sister has been so hard so I can’t wait to spill the beans!
I’m an active person & love to workout so I’m hoping for a fit pregnancy where I can continue to move and sweat daily! I would love to connect with any other fitness-y mom’s to hear either how you were able to maintain fitness during pregnancy and postpartum or plan to
Hi everyone. First time pregnancy for me, due August 22.
Happy and shocked because it happened the first month we tried and I was prepared for a much longer endeavor.
I'm 29 and husband is 30. We live in Chicago. I'm a corporate lawyer, he's a carpenter. We have 2 big dogs and a cat.
Haven't told anyone yet but will likely tell immediate families over Christmas!
One other thing - I've had serious emetophobia since I was a kid, so the threat of morning sickness is alwayson my mind. That is honestly what I'm most worried about at the moment.
Hi Mommas! I'm 29, DH is 30, this is baby #2, EDD is August 26th, first born is 19 months. I had two back to back chemical pregnancies before this due to low progesterone from breastfeeding until 16 months, but so far so good this time! I'm excited to be pregnant again and hoping for a smooth and healthy journey like I had with my first.
Hi! My husband and I are expecting our 3rd baby. We have a 5 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. This is my first pregnancy as a stay at home mom and I'm super excited to be adding to our family!
Hello all, I am pregnant with baby number 3! Super excited. I have two boys, June 2012 and June 2016. This is my first non summer olympics baby. I am so pumped to be pregnant. I was on the bump and very close to my first BMB. Then all that drama with she who shall not be named went down, we flocked to proboards, that didn't last long and we now only talk via facebook. A bunch of us still get together every year and we are super close. I am 31, DH is 32. We also have an adorable dog, as seen in my photo.
There are a ton of threads that I have been reading and been unable to respond to, so here are my responses all in one go (don't hate me I am trying to catch here, okurrr)
--I went off of adhd meds and an SSRI cold turkey, too @deecherise It was rough but I finally feel like I am on the other side of it and feel a lot better. -- @runningisrad I am also a writer and a digital marketer! I opened my own business after my second was born and did that for two years, but recently came back to corporate America. I picked up a bunch of mom entrepreneur clients which was amazing, but it was too hard to set boundaries and I missed the office environment. I may end up on my own again someday, it was amazing to be home with the baby for so long. --Um i know there are more but I have pregnancy brain, so I will get to them as I remember.
@lilmamabebe3 ah, that's so cool! I've been solo since the end of July, and honestly I don't miss an office/coworker environment at all. I have a pretty busy social life; I'm on the leadership team of a local social justice organization run by mamas, so meetings and volunteering, etc. keep me pretty busy when I'm not working and I don't really get lonely. I am looking forward to being able to keep this new baby at home with me for a while. I'm hoping for at least a year!

Hi mommas! I am tentatively dipping my toe in. I think I will be due 8/30ish. Our DS is 20 months, and I found really fantastic support in the TTCAL board before we got pregnant with him. I am 36, so I'm AMA... I am feeling nervous and hopeful at this point...and a little overwhelmed. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies!
Hi All! This is my 8th pregnancy...I have two boys, 5 and 2.5 EDD is 8/18...but may be modified based on U/S My last mc was Nov of this year and we got pregnant again before the return of my cycle. So needless to say we are cautiously optimistic that this will complete our family, but only time will tell. Looking forward to the support of this group!
Hi all! So..... I'm still in a little bit of shock. I POAS literally an hour ago, expecting a negative. But ....wow. that makes my EDD Aug 27.
*TW I was in NOV 2018 BMB, but had a MC at 10w 3d With severe post partum hemmorage, and came close to dying. I was told 9 years ago that due to several anatomical reasons, I would never be able to concieve. I've now had 2 MC. In november I ended up in the ER on what should have been my due date, with pain and bleeding. Was diagnosed with an endometrial polyp (and partial Right ovarian torsion due to a large cyst). I was told conception wouldn't be possible due to the polyp, until after surgery. So I figured I was benched until June. *End TW
My temps this month suggested we actually missed the window. But in the last 2 days I noticed my usual 4 days of pre- AF spotting that I've been getting since May, hadn't started. Today I woke up in the middle of the night with gastroenteritis and have been violently ill all day. But there was just a little voice telling me that I might as well POAS.... Just in case I need treatment Wow. I'm trying to not get my hopes up. The only one I've been able to tell is my dog. My husband is at our work Christmas party tonight. Plus, I would REALLY like to tell him on Christmas but I don't think I'll be able to keep it secret that long!
Anyway, sorry about that long winded speech! I'm a little... Dumbfounded haha.
I am 30, my husband of almost 2 years is 31. We have a rescue dog who keeps us busy! We are both paramedics, and enjoy traveling. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! My last BMB I was right at the beginning .It's going to be hard to play catch up, since I'm at the end haha!
Hi moms! I’m so excited I can finally post something. Been reading your posts and loving this community!
I’m a FTM, EDD is 8/12. Just scheduled my first appointment on 1/4. I’m 27 and hubby is 31. We had been trying for 4 months. At first my doctor thought I had PCOS because I didn’t get a period in 5 months. We were really worried and I was super stressed out at work. We’re beyond happy when we found out this little miracle is in the making! I’m so glad I found this community! I feel a little alone since we’re still keeping it a secret. We have a 3 year old rescue kitty. He doesn’t seem too excited about becoming a brother haha. Anyways, nice to e-meet you all! Hope we’ll all have an easy pregnancy!!!
Hi all... I've been around these boards for a while. I am an IF (unexplained and AMA (39)) veteran who is shocked as hell to find myself here. I have 3yr old rainbow twins, a just about to be 1yr baby girl (hello fellow Dec17 moms!) and the surprise of my life to get a BFP without science. from my charting I think my EDD is mid august.
*TW*
TTC 1/2012 Diagnosed : unexplained infertility 6 rounds of IUI and a MC 2/2014, rainbow twins 4/2015 TTC #3 5/2016 Restarted Fertility tx IUI 2 rounds, baby girl 12/17
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to join--I've been testing like a madwoman and finally got a BFP today! Still waiting to take a digital to confirm, but I've seen multiple positive lines now, so I'm letting myself get my hopes up. I am a 26 y/o STM and my EDD is August 30 based on LMP. I've been with my now husband for almost 6 years (married 4 months!) and we have a DD who is 13 months old. I went about 5 days late with my DD and have a feeling I'll go late again which would push me into September, but until an ultrasound proves otherwise, I am going to hang out here! Nice to meet all of you!
Hello! My husband and I have been married 7 years. We have two daughters, a 4 year old and a 2 year year old. This will be baby #3 and our last.
I participated in the S14 and S16 BMBs, and hope to find the same kind of support with this group that I did/do with those.
My EDD based on O is 8/30, so it's still early times for me. I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. My birthday is 8/24 and my youngest is 8/26. Both of my girls came before their EDD, so this one has a real chance of birthday sharing with me or it's big sister!
Hi There, I'm 36 years old and SO is 50, neither of us have any kids. I had a blighted ovum in 2016 and we were labelled with unexplained infertility since then, until now I guess. I had a scan yesterday and was dated at around 5 weeks 2 days, though I was expecting to be 6 weeks and 2 days. This worries me.... but every possible thing worries me! I am definitely struggling to accept the possibility that we could have our first child even though I want this so badly. I'm a teacher in a stressful day to day life and I have Hashimotos. I'm currently on thyroid meds and I just hope that the thyroid levels will support this pregnancy. My username is kind of my mantra, I'm trying to stay open to the idea that things might work out, whilst not getting too obsessed. Much easier said than done. I hope you all have a healthy and happy pregnancy!

One other thing - I've had serious emetophobia since I was a kid, so the threat of morning sickness is alwayson my mind. That is honestly what I'm most worried about at the moment.
So anyway, hayyyy girls hayyyy!

This is my 8th pregnancy...I have two boys, 5 and 2.5
EDD is 8/18...but may be modified based on U/S
My last mc was Nov of this year and we got pregnant again before the return of my cycle. So needless to say we are cautiously optimistic that this will complete our family, but only time will tell. Looking forward to the support of this group!
Just in case I need treatment
Wow.

My username is kind of my mantra, I'm trying to stay open to the idea that things might work out, whilst not getting too obsessed. Much easier said than done. I hope you all have a healthy and happy pregnancy!
