Yeah, can anyone get it perfectly in the cup?! I always fail lol.
@grebretso I had an appt on 12/5 and then won’t have another until 12/31 due to them wanting to do the Group B strep test and a NST (since I’m AMA). I’m 33 weeks on Friday so I should be every other week at this point but instead I will just go to every week after my 12/31 appt.
@sjnsjnsjn at my place they do monthly until week 32, then bi-weekly. I thought they did pee samples every time, because that's what they initially told me, but I guess it's not a big deal. I'm fine with that if they don't need it, don't exactly want to pee in a cup!
@BourbonBiscuits lol. I was berated for not being able to give a sample at my appt directly after my anatomy scan. C'mon, the ultrasound tech told me to go empty my bladder halfway through! What's a girl supposed to do?

@allthingsgo - my hand and the cup were soaked today. DS was in the bathroom with me and he, with his toddler boy humor, thought it was just hysterical 😐
Got a call from the mw today. Although my BP has been stellar, the fluid now looks great, the fetal echo came back perfect, and baby's cord bp looks good, the high risk docs want me to have us once a week for growth and fluid levels and nst twice a week.
I do not understand why I am getting the mixed signals. Other than baby being super small, everything else seems within the range of normal.

I didn’t start biweekly appointments until after 32 weeks @grebretso! I think it just depends! I do have to pee in a cup every single appointment though!
I had a visit today at 31 weeks, and ob said I'm measuring 33 weeks. She's having me come back tomorrow for a growth scan. She also told me she's not a big fan of mom's going beyond 40 weeks, so now I'm freaking out that I'm going to be pushed into an induction. Hoping tomorrow goes well.
I go for pre-admission to the hospital today and my first biweekly appt where I meet my OB - so far i've only seen my damily doctor - it's all coming up so quick now! Not sure what to expect from the OB - but happy to be seeing someone that could potentially have more information for me. I'm 31 weeks and 4 days !
@episcowitch - Awesome that everything looks great!! I am on that same general amped up schedule although my weekly ultrasounds are not growth but biophysical profile. It sounds like they just want to keep a reeeeally close eye on it!
@sjnsjnsjn I'm PGAL. I am spending as much time in my therapist's office as the mw trying to process this. 67 days until due date. I'm so thankful for insurance.

Routine check today. Everything looks good. Finally got c/s scheduled. Looks like little lady will be evicted January 29 unless she makes her own plans! Growth scan on the 9th.
32 week appointment today. Everything looks great! My fundal height is two weeks behind, but I had a great u/s two weeks ago. I also measured two weeks behind with DD, so I’m not worried.
@bellebaby221 I have the same c-section date! I’m trying for a vbac so I may deliver before then but otherwise we may share birth days!
That's awesome! Since this is my 3rd c/s they told me if I wanted to try for a vbac I had to go to Columbus which is about 75 miles from here. Not an exciting prospect in the middle of winter!
32 week appointment done! Fundal height measuring at 30wks but MW says that's probably because baby is low in my pelvis. All mine and baby's stats still good. Still head down thank goodness. Starting biweekly appointments now 😲 it's getting real
Today I have another NST as well as the BPP ultrasound that I had a zillion of last week in the hospital, so this should be quite a looooong appointment. I’m hoping it is another “reactive” NST, like Monday, which might confirm my OB’s theory that last week he just wasn’t mature enough to give the type of results they expected to see. Fx
@sjnsjnsjn how long to the BPPs typically take? I have to start getting them on Tuesday for this little lady, and I just have no idea what to expect. Is it just like another ultrasound but with different check marks they're looking for?
@BourbonBiscuits - Having now had 5, I can say that they vary depending on how quickly they get what they need. They are looking for specific things to add up to 8 points, or that’s how it was explained to me. One they waited a long time for one of the times (the one time he did not do it) was for him to have a “practice breathing” episode of 30 seconds. They need to do that within a 30 minute span, so basically the max it would be is 30 minutes. Most of mine have been MUCH shorter because he was doing all the things right away.
@grebretso I only have 1 decembee this time. And the only time I peed in a cup was when I first found out I was preggo and then once when I went to the ER. Otherwise never.
The 26th ia when I go for the first of my weekly nst's. I will have them every wednesday afterwards till little guy shows up. Trying not to panic, lol
I have to go back tomorrow for another steroid shot for baby's lungs, Thursday for NST, Christmas Eve for NST at L&D, and the 27th for BPP, Growth, and NST. If we make it to New Year's Eve, I go back for another NST and they determine if they want to admit me.

@thechickendance Tomorrow's shot doesn't count. I only see a nurse, they probably won't take vitals and I will be there long enough to drop trou and get stabbed in my bum. We'll call it a tie.

@sjnsjnsjn yesterday was second steroid shot. Today I have been hooked up to NST from 8:30-9:55. No accels or decels. I bounced so I could meet with my therapist for an hour and I'm hooked up again. Trying not to panic.

@episcowitch I am so so sorry. Hoping for all the best. Please keep us posted. I’m thinking/hoping you’re at 32 weeks at least right? Hopefully this will not become relevant for you, but the NICU people that came to talk to me seemed to consider 32 weeks a stage that meant a big leap up in baby’s preparation for being outside, when I was in there at 30 weeks... Thinking good thoughts for ACCELS stat!!
Baby girl is at -2 station already but cervix is still high and closed. Also being watched for a non-contraction pain in my lower abdomen and back. Likely just a result of her position but my OB is keeping eye on it because it's close to where my previous c/s scars are located and she doesn't want those to tear because that could cause a placental abruption if the tear is near the placenta. Not likely since mine is posterior but still watching.
i have had 3 appointments this month my last is 12/31 for a regular 2 week appt. i’m 32 weeks today but i didn’t know there was supposed to be another u/s before he arrives so i’m going to ask about it at my next appointment. so close! just under 2 months until my due date!
@mommaofboy1 There isn’t really “supposed to” be another US after the anatomy scan, but some of us need them for various reasons: If you’re high risk for example, or in my case, to check that the placenta has moved far enough away from the cervix (it was too close for comfort at the anatomy scan). If your OB or midwife haven’t mentioned it, you likely won’t need another one!

Not an official appointment but my OB called me yesterday just to make sure things had been fine on my trip and that i’d been feeling good movement (which I have, if by good, she means, holy crap kid, how big are you and wth are those dance moves!? ). I guess it makes sense after all that happened and the serious considerations around whether to let me go, but boy do I love her. She is the best.
A whirlwind of an Ultrasound appointment this morning. I am 33weeks on the dot and they found out today, little guy has a club foot. Anyone have any experience with this? They’re referring us to a pediatric orthopedic doctor. There isn’t much we can do until he is born but at least we can have a game plan for when he is born.
Little guy is also measuring slightly big... has been my whole pregnancy. They found out today that I actually did fail my glucose test and therefore do have gestational diabetes. I missed it by only a few points so I’m on monitoring the levels for the next week to see how it goes. Now I have an appointment every week until due date!!
