  • @nmbrcrnchr1 obviously on your nub...
  • I do have a tilted uterus but not sure where the placenta is.  They haven't told me.  But the doctor found it after not searching too long so I would think I should be able to find it too.
  • There’s an August waiting room thread on 1st tri and someone has already created a fb page for them 🙄 has to be a record!
  • @sparklingdiamond I don’t own a Doppler, bc I would drive myself crazy if I couldn’t find the HB, so I don’t know for sure but aren’t the ones they use at the dr office more of a medical grade than the ones we can buy?
  • @nmbrcrnchr1 they are going to end up with all the crazies in their FB page. With no post-it to weed them out. 😂
  • @sparklingdiamond try not to stress. At this stage it depends so much on position of the baby, how full your bladder is, etc. I’ve always had the best luck like kinda down right at the pelvic bone. Maybe even tilt the Doppler down. Leave it mostly in the same spot and kind of tilt it and “point” in different directions. A lot of OBs don’t even routinely use it until 13-14 weeks because it can be hard before then. Good luck!

I do think the solo solo cups sounds promising 😂
  • @Dcwtada, I saw your post about this earlier and my heart is so, so full for you. I’m absolutely THRILLED that he’s recovered enough to come home and that you’re getting your buddy back!

  • @Dcwtada so glad he's doing better and will be home soon!
  • @Dcwtada that wonderful news. I'm so glad he is doing better and able to be home again.
  • @Dwctada Great news! So happy to hear that.

  • 😭😭😭 I made my 4 yr old cry today because I just want a moment to myself at least while I'm in the restroom. I felt so bad to see her little sad face
  • @Dcwtada I'm so happy your pup is coming home!

  • @Dcwtada yay for your puppy!
@vv826 I'm sure I'll change my tune in a few years when I have little spectators, but it seems perfectly reasonable to want a minute alone in the can. No judgment here.

Just watched the last few episodes of The Office for the first time (I quit watching when Steve Carell left and just recently picked it back up to finish it out). DH is on a road trip and we had a blizzard here this morning (and roads have been crappy all day) so I've been at home crocheting, eating tortilla chips with pizza sauce (because why not) and bingeing on Netflix all day. Had to pause it a couple times to cry. Stupid hormones messing with an otherwise nearly perfect day.
  • @nmbrcrnchr1 Yeah that's what I would think anyways that they would have better ones.

I didn't know if the baby would move up faster since it's my third pregnancy. I know my second one did.
  • @sparklingdiamond the home dopplers are not supposed to work before 16 weeks, at least that's what mine says on the box. Anything earlier, you're just getting lucky. And this is exactly the reason doctors don't recommend them - they can cause unnecessary anxiety.
  • @Dcwtada Yay! I'm so happy he's coming home

@wearyfuzzball I heard that if you play this, through headphones over your stomach, the baby will just roll into the perfect position for the doppler. https://www .youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

  • @Dcwtada - no creeper or anything, but I thought of you all weekend. I'm so happy to hear he's coming home!

Also, just caught up in here and it looks like I missed some good stuff.
  • @dcwtada What cute puppies!  I'm so happy to hear that Leonard is coming home :)

Has anyone heard from @eleven_ ?  I haven't seen her on the boards in awhile...hope everything is ok.

  • Hi @bakerstreetboys I'm here. Thanks for thinking of me. I usually don't get on TB much on the weekends.

  • @carleym93, a couple days late, but have you tried talking to your mom about all of the stuff she is buying? And asking her not to? I know some people say you shouldn't try to dictate what gifts other people give your kids, or you, etc. But my mom would be the same way as yours if we didn't tell her from the beginning that Christmas at Grandma's house isn't going to be bigger than Christmas at our house. My husband was also pretty out spoken about it, in a nice way, which definitely helped keep my mom in check.

Also those leggings look amazing! Off I go to see if they have any Cyber Monday sales because I live in leggings.
  • @runyogamom I have, but she is so set in her ways. Her love language is gifts, so she naturally shows DD love in that way. Which I really wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t so excessive. I’m going to have to approach the conversation again and just hope it goes more smoothly.
  • @meatballs37 Ahh I'm so glad you liked Stranger Things! Season 2 is really good too. I always wonder who people think my profile pic is if they haven't seen the show. Just some random little girl or do they think it's me?  :D

  • @eleven_ Even though I'm a huge fan of the show, and know who Eleven is, I still totally picture you as looking like that :D
  • @bakerstreetboys A lot of people have said they picture me to be Eleven. I'm okay with it  :D

  • Sorry I posted in the wrong week... maybe I take a break from the internets today :(
  • @Dcwtada It's my fault for bumping it! I'm sorry your DS is sick. What king of breathing issues does he have? We have been dealing with croup with my son every night now. Breathing issues in kids is seriously the most stressful thing to deal with :s

  • Lol thank you for trying to take the blame, hehe I appreciate you for that @eleven_

He has a severe form of Laryngomalacia, essentially his airways didn’t develop properly and collapse (or are floppy) when he breathes and it restricts or cuts off his airflow. We had surgery when he was almost 3 months and shaved some tissue off his airways to create a larger opening so when they collapse he can still get air in. His case is just complicated because he hasn’t grown out of if like he should have and as he grows and his demand for oxygen and breathing has gotten more forceful his airways are having trouble even with the surgery. We can’t shave anymore off so it’s a waiting game until the tissue eventually hardens so it’s not floppy. Although thankfully unless he is sick, it mostly just sounds bad like he has a chest cold but if he does get sick he needs steroids and breathing treatments so his airways can stay open.
  • @Dcwtada I'm so sorry, that sounds so stressful to deal with. I'm sure you probably feel so anxious at night when he is sick. Hopefully this cold/flu season is mild so that you don't have to continue to stress all winter.

  • @Dcwtada Your poor little guy. I hope he gets better soon. You must be so worried and exhausted.
  • @Dcwtada DD2 had that. Sometimes she still sounds kinda funny when she breathes but I think it has corrected itself for the most part. I couldn't imagine dealing with it for as long as you have. I hope he gets better soon so you can get some rest.
