@meatballs37 I think the most accurate way to hear it right now is 2 solo cups and a string 🤣 I’ll let you decide where the best place to put the solo cup is 😳
I do have a tilted uterus but not sure where the placenta is. They haven't told me. But the doctor found it after not searching too long so I would think I should be able to find it too.
@sparklingdiamond I don’t own a Doppler, bc I would drive myself crazy if I couldn’t find the HB, so I don’t know for sure but aren’t the ones they use at the dr office more of a medical grade than the ones we can buy?
Holy moly an August waiting room already?! Does anyone else feel like that makes us seem we are finally getting somewhere in our pregnancies?! I can’t wait to graduate out of the first trimester!

@sparklingdiamond try not to stress. At this stage it depends so much on position of the baby, how full your bladder is, etc. I’ve always had the best luck like kinda down right at the pelvic bone. Maybe even tilt the Doppler down. Leave it mostly in the same spot and kind of tilt it and “point” in different directions. A lot of OBs don’t even routinely use it until 13-14 weeks because it can be hard before then. Good luck!
@eleven_ My little brother hung out a lot with us this last week for the holiday and he suggested some Netflix shows he knew DH and I would like. We ended up binge watching the first season of stranger things. I now understand your screen name. Lol lol.
They did such a wonderful job developing the characters for the show. I can’t wait to start season two!

My pup Leonard is doing better and we can bring him home tomorrow!!
We have missed him so, this is his puppy picture (as he is 60lbs now) with his brother whom we adopted as well. Leonard is the one with the white stripe.
@Dcwtada, I saw your post about this earlier and my heart is so, so full for you. I’m absolutely THRILLED that he’s recovered enough to come home and that you’re getting your buddy back!

@Dcwtada yay for your puppy! @vv826 I'm sure I'll change my tune in a few years when I have little spectators, but it seems perfectly reasonable to want a minute alone in the can. No judgment here.
Just watched the last few episodes of The Office for the first time (I quit watching when Steve Carell left and just recently picked it back up to finish it out). DH is on a road trip and we had a blizzard here this morning (and roads have been crappy all day) so I've been at home crocheting, eating tortilla chips with pizza sauce (because why not) and bingeing on Netflix all day. Had to pause it a couple times to cry. Stupid hormones messing with an otherwise nearly perfect day.
@sparklingdiamond the home dopplers are not supposed to work before 16 weeks, at least that's what mine says on the box. Anything earlier, you're just getting lucky. And this is exactly the reason doctors don't recommend them - they can cause unnecessary anxiety.
@wearyfuzzball I heard that if you play this, through headphones over your stomach, the baby will just roll into the perfect position for the doppler. https://www .youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0 (remove space after www)
My darling husband bought me the Align pant from Lululemon after I tearfully told him the $50 maternity leggings I bought 2 months ago have already ripped. Guys. These pants are LIFECHANGING. They are so stretchy but not at all see through, the panel is stretchy enough to wear my whole pregnancy, and they feel like they were made from the aprons of baby angels. At $100 they were an investment, but my pair from DD has held up since high school (10 years ago), still look brand new, and I was able to wear them up until the day she was born. Treat yo self.
@carleym93, a couple days late, but have you tried talking to your mom about all of the stuff she is buying? And asking her not to? I know some people say you shouldn't try to dictate what gifts other people give your kids, or you, etc. But my mom would be the same way as yours if we didn't tell her from the beginning that Christmas at Grandma's house isn't going to be bigger than Christmas at our house. My husband was also pretty out spoken about it, in a nice way, which definitely helped keep my mom in check.
Also those leggings look amazing! Off I go to see if they have any Cyber Monday sales because I live in leggings.
@runyogamom I have, but she is so set in her ways. Her love language is gifts, so she naturally shows DD love in that way. Which I really wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t so excessive. I’m going to have to approach the conversation again and just hope it goes more smoothly.
@meatballs37 Ahh I'm so glad you liked Stranger Things! Season 2 is really good too. I always wonder who people think my profile pic is if they haven't seen the show. Just some random little girl or do they think it's me?

@bakerstreetboys that is what @eleven_ looks like in my mind as well. If I ever see a picture of her irl I’m not going to believe it 😂🤣😂 quite awhile ago she changed it to something else and I told her I couldn’t recognize her sn without the pic...she changed it back 😂
My youngest has a nasty cold that started yesterday, he has some breathing issues so I am just exhausted with worry. We haven’t had to break out the breathing treatments yet but I am thinking we aren’t far off. I am so glad I stockpiled some medicine for the machine. I am feeling so guilty I have to drag him out this afternoon to get my daughter from school. I hate that I have to do that, I seriously want to put the kid in a bubble - that has to be illegal though, or at least frowned upon.
DH has been such an ass lately, I know we are stressed over the house/construction, plus everything with our dog being sick (and his bill) but grow up. I almost blocked him on FB to make a point but I guess I have to be a grown up taking the high road isn’t very satisfying.
Lol thanks for letting me vent, I don’t know if it’s the holidays or just life but gosh has it been stressful lately. About time to go pick a fight on FB and decompress 😶
@Dcwtada It's my fault for bumping it! I'm sorry your DS is sick. What king of breathing issues does he have? We have been dealing with croup with my son every night now. Breathing issues in kids is seriously the most stressful thing to deal with

Lol thank you for trying to take the blame, hehe I appreciate you for that @eleven_
He has a severe form of Laryngomalacia, essentially his airways didn’t develop properly and collapse (or are floppy) when he breathes and it restricts or cuts off his airflow. We had surgery when he was almost 3 months and shaved some tissue off his airways to create a larger opening so when they collapse he can still get air in. His case is just complicated because he hasn’t grown out of if like he should have and as he grows and his demand for oxygen and breathing has gotten more forceful his airways are having trouble even with the surgery. We can’t shave anymore off so it’s a waiting game until the tissue eventually hardens so it’s not floppy. Although thankfully unless he is sick, it mostly just sounds bad like he has a chest cold but if he does get sick he needs steroids and breathing treatments so his airways can stay open.
@Dcwtada I'm so sorry, that sounds so stressful to deal with. I'm sure you probably feel so anxious at night when he is sick. Hopefully this cold/flu season is mild so that you don't have to continue to stress all winter.

@Dcwtada DD2 had that. Sometimes she still sounds kinda funny when she breathes but I think it has corrected itself for the most part. I couldn't imagine dealing with it for as long as you have. I hope he gets better soon so you can get some rest.
