Hi All! I am new to this forum. My DH and I have been battling infertility for well over a year now. We tried naturally for several months before we went to our RE. Since June I have had 7 polyps removed, tried a Femara cycle, stimulated with monitoring and natural cycle, and are now giving a go at mini-IVF. The meds arrived Friday. I was a bit overwhelmed seeing it all.
The cause of our infertility is likely my abdominal scar tissue from previous surgeries. I have Crohn’s disease and have had 3 bowel resections and 3 other abdominal surgeries. They believe my ovaries are covered in scar tissue and getting pulled away from where they would normall float. Surgery for scar tissue removal isn’t an option.
A bit about us.. I am 35, DH is 37. I have a daughter from a previous marriage who is 10. We are also in the process of having him adopt her. (I’ve has 3 surgeries after delivering her by c-section.)
I am hoping to connect with others going through the IVF process as well. It is a lonely process! My DH is amazing and tries to empathize, but having nearly the entire weight on my shoulders it is a lot!
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Jenni
Re: Hello! New here (Child mentioned)
I’m currently just taking Provera to bring on my cycle. I also have PCOS, and only have a cycle I medicated every 40-70 days. Hoping to start the process soon! Now that I’ve accepted the insane amount of meds that were delivered, I want to get the ball rolling!
