Re: Chart stalk/ questions November

  • When I’m not temping and only using OPK as my setting, any watery CM post-positive OPK will change my O day... FF doesn’t like fertile CM post-positive OPK

  • @lulu1180 I didn't know that! Maybe I'll start temping this month. My chart this month doesn't matter too much my husband was hunting for CD 12-15. So at worst we got -3 but with the adjustment it was -1 so that's the only reason I was so curious. At the end of the day I'm either KU or not. I had some serious cramping on CD 12 though with spotting so I'm thinking this month may have been a little jacked up like my last one (my periods are still regulating)
  • @daisy0322 - Was lurking BCB and one lady mention that she night temps. She gets in bed and lays down for about 30 minutes and then temps. Always between 9:30pm-11pm. She apparently can get a temp shift with that. Maybe that's worth a shot?
  • @marebear15 when I work nights I work 7pm to 7am so there's no consistent hour Im in bed. I do have 10 days off in a row every month with my matrix though so I may experiment then
  • @daisy0322 Hmm...maybe just when you wake up, as long as it's been 3 hours of sleep, no matter the time of day?
  • @daisy0322 I agree with @marebear15, try temping after 3hours of sleep, regardless of the time of day. In theory your BBT pattern should still be evident.

  • For what I think is the first time ever I got a false + OPK (I thought the blazing + seemed strange with FMU as I have no other fertile signs and OPK was - last night so I dipped a second... and then a third of a different brand). My current box is Easy@Home. Suggestions on drug store available OPKs I can quickly get as back-up? It has literally never been more important to detect my surge as I’m being monitored for natural FET. I happen to have monitoring this am so they can double check I’m not surging yet but concerned now about the accuracy of my current batch of OPK...
  • @zamora_spin I think drug stores carry similar OPKs to the internet cheapies. Otherwise, both First Response and Clear blue have fairly basic OPKs you can buy. You should be able to find any of them at your local drug store or even Target and Walmart.

I myself can get a +opk in the AM as I tend to have positives for about 2 days.

  • @zamora_spin You can get these at pretty much any store (CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc) and it's easy to read.  Blank circle = no LH surge and smiley face=LH surge.  Just make sure you don't get the advanced tests, those are the ones with the flashing smiley

  • @zamora_spin I second @lulu1180. I have found the CBs to be easiest to use. Don't get the advanced - I think they're more expensive too.
  • @zamora_spin The advanced version also catches your estrogen surge so you need to take them earlier in your cycle compared to the ones that only look for the LH surge.

Also there's an even more expensive one that's like... Connected to your phone via an app or something???

  • @inthewoods23 @lulu1180 @jennifer_louise Thanks for the recs ladies! I'm going to run out this afternoon and get some additional options. Still waiting for my clinic to call on my bw but from my u/s it seems like O is still a ways off (biggest follicle was only around 10) so I feel pretty confident that one OPK was false +. So weird, I'm glad I double checked it.
  • @zamora_spin I might be too late, but don't get the Walgreens cheapie opks. I couldn't get a positive on those and finally and researched it looks like a common problem.
  • @kgg2241 Don’t worry - I didn’t get those! That’s funny because I examined them but checked the reviews and they were terrible. I got myself the regular Clearblue digitalis (not advanced) and took one today to set the baseline. I’m supposed to do more than one check a day so I’m going to use those in conjunction with my others so I have multiple opinions, lol!
  • My chart is in the spoiler.  I'm so confused.  I've gotten all negative opks this cycle using clear blue digital.  Today I decided to also take a leftover cheapo from Amazon and it looked positive.  I'm trying not to look too much into that though. .I used them successfully for 2 months but last cycle was 45 days (super long for me) and I kept getting random positives starting early in the cycle and it was never confirmed by a 2nd positive the following day like in the first 2 months.
It's my first cycle tracking cm so I'm not sure about my observations but it has seemed slippery and stretchy the past 3 days and today seems not as stretchy.  I'm wondering how long cm stays stretchy? I'm also wondering if I ovulated already after today's temp.
    What do you ladies think?

  • @nightdreamr13 - Was the temp on Sunday 25th also a late temp? I don't see any indication of ovulation quite yet, but if that temp was discarded, I could make a case for yesterday because today's temp would just barely be above your cover.
But with the information as it is, I don't think you've O'd yet. What did your last chart look like? Do you think the last one was anovulatory?
  • @marebear15 sat and sun temps are always later. I get up at 4am during the week so there's no way I'm doing that on the weekend.  Lol.
My last chart is not reliable bc my thermometer broke midway.  :(
I was actually thinking o day may have been mon....dip then slow increase? Perhaps it's wishful thinking since it would've given us optimal timing! Dh seemed to have gotten a 24 hr stomach bug so there was no dancing going on last night.  :(
  • @nightdreamr13 - Possibly Monday, but that would be a pretty slow temp rise. Discard Sundays and see if FF gives you CHs. Also see what FAM gives you.
  • @marebear15 I'm sorry, but what is FAM?
  • Temps keep going up...interested to see what the opk says today...

    Chart in spoiler

  • @nightdreamr13 It's a setting on FF. Discard your temp from CD19, and then go into the top right corner on the mobile app and click Settings>>Detector/Override Settings>>Detector>>FAM. FAM only looks at temps and not any of the other factors. I'm guessing you should get CHs for CD22 with a baseline of 97.4.
  • @marebear15 You are basically the queen of charting! I’m always impressed by your answers here 👍

  • @cpiper39 - Aww thank you! I have to admit it's a lot easier figuring out everyone else's charts, than it is to figure out my own.
  • @marebear15 I find it interesting that I got a positive opk today. I did some research and come to find out you can actually get your surge or a positive opk after you ovulate if your LH surge is longer than average. I never knew!
