Weight gain?

Anyone experience virtually NO weight gain? I was a bit heavy to begin with; thick, but not obese.
I had severe morning sickness my 1st tri and it's returned (much less severe) in my 3rd tri.
Up until week 28 I had gained a whopping TWO pounds. At my 30 week appt last week the nurse said I lost a pound, putting me at only +1.
Baby is fine and measuring at 3 pounds and my fluid level looks great.
Just curious if I'm the only one not gaining and/or losing while baby is growing as expected...

Ive gained 4lbs this entire pregnancy.  My Dr isn't concerned.  Ive been eating healthier and not drinking obviously so I think naturally that's why i'm even.  If your Dr isn't concerned then I wouldn't worry about it.

Same. I was 235ish before pregnancy, lost a few in 1st tri, and was up to 240.6 as of last Tuesday. My midwives aren't concerned because I am heavy to begin with, so they don't want me to gain too much more. Baby is measuring normal and doing everything he's supposed to.  You're good! Some of us were just ahead of the game with weight gain ;)

My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone)

    IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN
HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear!
    IUI #4: April 15/16, 2018 - BFP!! EDD: Jan 7, 2019

ditto to a few PP above. I was a little overweight before and have gained a total of 7lbs. Baby girl is measuring right on schedule seems to be doing great! Like @rooonilwaazlib said, some of us were just ahead of the game ;)

I tend to be hovering right around ideal weight or underweight when not pregnant, typically.  I've only gained 6lbs this pregnancy.  Baby is growing right on track and my Dr isn't concerned since baby seems to be doing well.  My last pregnancy I had gained 15lbs at this point and I don't feel like I'm doing anything different this time except chase a toddler around.

I've actually lost almost 20. So I'm still in the negative. I've done that with both of my kids as well and by the time I went into the hospital I weighed either the same or slightly lower than pre pregnancy and my kids were healthy and term. My daughter was 6L2O and my son was 7L14O.

  • Thank you ladies! I definitely feel better knowing I'm not the only one.
I talked to my OB this afternoon and he said there is no cause for concern and he'll see me next week! Whew 😌
