  • @meatballs37 I agree. I mean, it would be nice to see other countries and sites but I don't feel like my life will be lacking I'm excitement if I don't.

    @nmbrcrnchr1 #idontgethashtags #imannoyedbyallofthem
  • I dislike all sweets (cakes, candy, ice cream, brownies, etc.) with only a few exceptions...I could sleep in a cheese danish and I eat cool whip out of the tub with no shame.
  • @ruby696 I feel you there. When I was pregnant with my first my mom said, "Are you sure about that, you aren't really good with kids and you don't seem to like them."

I dread the days of sleepovers and having to deal with kids other than my own.

  • @Dcwtada you can send me all your sweets. Sitting in a morning meeting I just ate two twixs, a york peppermint patty, and a kitkat (fun sized halloween candy). I was in heaven.

@meatballs37 I would say I think traveling with a toddler is overrated! I love traveling to a nice beach somewhere to kick my feet up and relax. But we took DS this past summer and it was a rough vacation that we ended up cutting short because he just couldn't sleep. Most exhausting vacation ever.

  • @klmcguire My mom once told me she couldn't believe how good I was with my kids. Like she wasn't expecting it at all. Uh, thanks?

Oh she has definitely told someone in front of me, "She is a much better mom than I expected." Wow that's great to hear.

She has always worked from home and raised the babies of the family when I was growing up. She asked me once to watch my cousin and she found me in bed 20 minutes later. Needless to say, I wasn't asked to help again.
  • @meatballs37, I could totally live as a nomad, jumping from place to place. I live for travel! I wish money wasn’t such a restriction on the ability to do it.

@Dcwtada, you know, I never had a sweet tooth (though I did have a savory one - is that a thing??) until I was pregnant with my daughter. Now, I definitely do have one. And fall isn’t helping! ALL the apple pie!

I’m terrible at UO - I’m not sure I’m a particularly controversial person.

  • @klmcguire 😂 I tended to just ignore them. Which makes me feel bad, now that I have my own and see how much attention they need. So I don't ignore strange kids now, but I secretly think many are annoying.
  • @eleven_ My soon to be 4yo has yet to have a birthday party with his classmates. I keep telling myself next year, but ugh. Plus, where I live, no one does kid parties at home. So it's like $500 just to get the site, plus party favors, etc. No thank you.
  • @goodgodlemon I’m not a fall person either. And I can’t stand the taste of pumpkin.

UO: I don’t drink coffee at all. Not any kind of drink that has even a little coffee in it. It tastes like burnt dirt to me.
  • @kjr9519 Coffee is the most disgusting thing ever.
  • @dntstpbelieveing, while I don’t disagree with you, and I don’t consider myself a single parent, when my husband is gone, he’s GONE. Like, no communication for essentially six months at a time gone. I am not a single parent, because I have financial support and yes, he will be home eventually, but the “you have emotional support” thing really irks me because no, I definitely don’t have that when he’s deployed. (Should clarify, he’s a Submariner, so we are lucky if we even have email on occasion. Usually they are running silent while on station so that they are not detected)

  • I also do not drink coffee. It’s rather have a nice cold dr. Pepper for my caffeine fix.

  • All the people hating coffee, how do you survive? I didn't like coffee until I got into college. I started slowly with lattes, then flavored syrup coffee and now I can drink regular coffee. But I miss it so much right now. I can't drink it when I have morning sickness so I'm sad.
  • I generally will drink a coke in the morning but I go spurts where I give it up. Now I just drink water.
  • @runyogamom I've been drinking tea, just to keep the ritual of a hot beverage in the morning. It is not the same.
  • @harrierwife

There is a HUGE pit bull in our neighborhood who is the sweetest! Our DD is obsessed with him.

I once ran a half marathon. Never again.

  • @harrierwife 100% agreement about the pitbulls. They can be one of the sweetest dogs. And usually if they aren't, they have been mistreated or were bred to be aggressive.

  • Gotcha Day is only for the day a child was adopted, it is extremely disrespectful when people call the day they got a pet the same thing.
  • @meatballs37 - Every pit I've ever met (and I've volunteered at inner city shelters) has been the biggest puss-face lap dog. Have some of them had bad pasts/rap sheets? Yes. But as with all dogs, I believe the vast majority are good - there are only bad owners. The only dogs I've had bad experiences with are German Shepherds.

They're the most loyal, eager-to-please animals with the strength of an ox. Thus, easy to exploit.
  • @harrierwife I adore Pitts! My own is a mutt of : Pit, Rottie, Doberman, and ..... black lab. Hes a medium sized dog with a BIG bark and behaviour wise, all lab. My MIL had a pitt that my BIL stole from a drug dealer. He was the sweetest most loving thing ever but was trained to hate cops. I think it's really does come down to breeding/training.

Coffee is life. I don't understand the hate for it.
  • @harrierwife I worked at a kennel while I was in college. Give me all the pitbulls, dobermans, mastiffs, etc. over little bitey dogs. I have seen vicious cocker spaniels and seriously questionable labs. IMHO it really does depend on breeding and environment for ANY dog.
  • @harrierwife I have not ran a full marathon yet, but I have ran quite a few half marathons and completed a Half Ironman (70.3 triathlon) this year. It is my way of balancing the wine consumption and gives me alone time! Overall it is enjoyable to put on a good podcast and go out for a 30-1 hour run. I am missing running right now!
  • Hating coffee would have been my UO up until about a year ago, didn't like the taste.  Too many sleepless nights and my diet pepsi just didn't cut it. I started with lattes with extra sugar and by the end just a pinch of sugar to black coffee. I mostly cut out coffee when I started TTC and now straight coffee makes me super sick.
Jump on the I also hate pumpkin, in anything, even pie.  The worst is when it is in a cookie, stop tricking me!

  • @ruby696 - Totally agree. I've been bit by chihuahuas, shih tzus, and German Shepherds.
  • Reality TV is horrible!

Also, as if Alabama didn't look bad enough in the public eye then why not start a show that is called "Redneck Housewives of Alabama"

    Kill me.
  • @klmcguire sheepishly raises hand. I love reality tv. Specifically bravo. 😬 currently loving below deck.

Reality tv is like a car wreck. You just can’t look away. i currently love TLC’s 90 day fiancé and any variation of it. That being said I can’t get into any housewives of shows. Just not my thing.
