@eranfaraway The site wasn't blacked out; those of us who are regulars on this board staged a blackout (which means simply that we didn't log on for a period of time) to support one of our own who we felt was unfairly punished

@eranfaraway I thought the same thing when I saw the advertisement and even a few celebrities were wearing them! I'm thinking to myself gosh I don't want the whole world to think that I'm trying to have a baby. It's something so special and private between my husband and I. They really should make a new video at night time.
My thoughts exactly, @wifey_furmom! My husband and I have kept our plans private as well. As difficult as I find this waiting game, it has been fun to share such an exciting secret. I hope your stay in this section is brief!
How many months have you been TTC?: we have been discussing things for a couple of months now and I have been lurking here in preparation for a couple of weeks. Today I had my IUD removed. 😬
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I will be starting by trying to figure out my cycles. Once that is done, I will be charting CM and BBT.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): My husband has two children from a previous marriage and I have two from a previous relationship. Then together we have two more. I also have two angel babies. I am an EMT and I teach EMT continuing education classes and my husband is a FF/Paramedic. I was pretty active in other BMB boards and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all.
How many months have you been TTC?: Started in September 2016, so... 26?
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Currently medically benched. Having a uterine septum removed next month. Have been tracking cycles and using OPKs for some cycles in the past.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I work in science/health communication and in environmental stewardship and participate on a "creation care" committee at our church. We have a greyhound/coonhound mix (Obi-Wan) and an orange tabby (Jasper). DH and I love adventures big and small. We bikepack, backpack, and rock climb. I like to run, ride my bike, and read non-fiction (gimme some pop-sci, please!). Our TTC history in spoiler below (TW loss).
We have had two miscarriages (Jan 2017 and July 2017), both at the exact same time in the pregnancy (7w4d). I miscarried our second 'peanut' on a remote backpacking trip in the Utah desert and that experience led to some trauma/grief that I really struggled to recover from. We took the rest of 2017 and the first half of this year off from TTC so I could tend to my mental health needs. Was diagnosed with a uterine septum this August, based on a practical afterthought the radiologist remarked on an ultrasound of our first pregnancy. My (new) OB wanted to take a second look and discovered it was actually quite a significant chunk of unwelcome flesh hanging out, rent-free, in my uterus. I've served it an eviction notice and it will be removed in about 4 weeks, after which we can start TTC again.
Hey @minnek8, I mostly read science-y nonfiction as well! Have you read anything that you loved lately? I peeked at the story of your journey so far, and I'm so sorry about what happened. I'm glad you got some answers and hope you get a BFP on your first cycle off the bench!
@minnek8 welcome and I'm so sorry for your losses. We have a weekly TTCAL thread, feel free to jump in anytime.

@eranfaraway Most recently I've been, begrudgingly, giving some fiction a try. It's fine. I guess. But faves from earlier this year: - Not a Scientist: How Politicians Mistake, Misrepresent, and Utterly Mangle Science by Dave Levitan - The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes Us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative by Florence Williams - The World Without Us by Alan Weisman
@Aurora_Borealis Hi Aurora, I can relate with you, Although I don't have PCOS, I did have my mirena removed in May and my husband and I started trying in June. When we first met we were the couple that said "no kids" and somewhere down the line that changed for us both. We got married almost two years ago and like you, we love to travel. I use to be runner as well till I got married lol. Our good friends just had a baby two months ago as well (he will be my Godson) and I caught a bad case of the baby fever.
We are basically the same person! Lol. I’m a fur mom too, two pups and two kitties.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids yet, but we do have a cat, turtle, fish, and hedgehog. DH and I are both engineers and we both mentor a high school robotics team. Love listening to rock music, going to the zoo, and walking in nature. DH and I are both good all.
