My dinner's for the week: Ham with Rosemary Dijon Glaze, pan roasted new potatoes, garlic green beans Baked chicken Parmesan Sloppy Joes, roasted asparagus, mac & cheese Baked lemon pepper chicken, roasted broccoli, pan roasted sweet potatoes
I need to get my shit together. We ordered out last night. Should probably take chicken out or something for tonight. I made roast last week. That was amazing but no one else in my damn family will eat it.

@sleepy33 they don't like anything good. It's kind of ridiculous. No spaghetti in this house. My kid won't even eat macaroni and cheese (I think the noodles are a sensory aggravation but it's still annoying). No tomatoes. No vegetables. Kid won't eat meat really. Husband only seems to want Panda Express every single night. It's disgusting.
I'm making brisket tacos tomorrow night and I can't wait. The reason I HAVE to wait until tomorrow is because I need to buy the ingredients tonight and the brisket needs to slow cook for 8-12 hours so... no brisket tacos tonight. But the recipe calls for a chipotle cream sauce, roasted corn and poblano salsa, and queso fresca. Delicious.
For dinner tonight... eh. I have no idea yet. Bratwurst sounds good. I made a chicken goat cheese salad for dinner last night which was very yummy.

I also recommend La Tortilla Factory brand corn tortillas to go with the brisket. They're the closest I've found to homemade tortillas. I love homemade corn tortillas but it's time consuming to make the dough, press them out, cook them on the griddle, and stack them up and cover with a damp paper towel. It becomes an additional 20 minutes of work.

Thanks! Also, I am team corn tortillas all the way.
@sleepy33 I'm over it. I cook things I know he likes and sometimes I cook things I know he doesn't but I do and let him fend for himself. It's not really an issue anymore. He's good about not complaining too. That probably helps
I am so proud of you ladies for cooking! I haven't been able to cook and meal plan since my nausea started, but I am dreaming of the day food sounds good again.
My husband is the same way too! I usually do every other meal or something.... most nights he will at least try it... sometimes he just makes a pizza lol. Whatever! If he wants something different.... he is welcome to cook
We had Zaxby’s Sunday night, and Jersey Mike’s last night. Help a girl out with some good easy recipes that don’t have a million ingredients. We’ve been slacking bad.
All I want to eat is cured meat and cheese so...🤷 I'd send DH to Aldis for prosciutto and brie, but ours is closed for remodel and won't open again until next week. So I may make curried chicken salad. Today is the first day I've started really feeling any lasting periods of nausea, so I don't know what will stick.
Lemon pepper tilapia and roasted Parmesan broccoli is the plan for tonight. First time I’ve cooked something real in weeks... let’s hope I still remember how
We have some leftovers from last night, but I'm craving spicy chicken Caesar salad, so I'll make that too and everyone can pick what they want. Tomorrow I'm slow roasting pork chops in a creamy mushroom and wine sauce. We got free prosciutto in our grocery order yesterday (score!) so I think I'll do prosciutto wrapped asparagus with something later this week too.
You’re all way more motivated than me. I did a box of KD for DD1 and I because DH had to rush off to DD2’s swimming lesson.
@rozpre soup is actually super easy! I brown chicken or whatever other meat I want, add a bunch of veggies (often frozen), 4-6 cups of broth or water+boullion, a bunch of herbs and spices, and then toss in some noodles and, voila, chicken noodle soup.
I also love puréed soups, though DH doesn’t love them as much as I do.

The Superstore that I usually place my grocery pick up orders through has been throwing a random item into my order lately when I get over a certain $$ threshold. Last time was frozen breaded chicken wings (which we don't eat, so that wasn't super awesome) but this time they threw in a block of parmigiano reggiano, a package of prosciutto and a package of mixed Italian deli meats (prosciutto, and two different salamis). Huge win! It was a pretty big grocery order, but still. I always get an email to do a survey on my experience and I gave them a glowing review, lol.
@rozpre we looove butternut squash soup at this time of year. I have a super easy recipe from Best of Bridge that is great. https://www.bestofbridge.com/roasted-squash-soup-with-apple-and-brie/ the melted brie really makes the soup, so don't skip it if you like brie. Creme fraiche or sour cream is also good in butternut squash soup, but the brie is my favourite

@imrachellea I always buy the spicy salami bites from Aldi. Not currently though-are we allowed to eat salami?
Just FYI everyone, my brisket has been slow cooking all day and I AM SO EXCITED to eat tonight. Imma make fresh guacamole to put on top along with the chipotle cream sauce. It is going to be amazing.
@eatinwatermelonseeds I can't remember where you live! I seem to recall @wishiwaspreggo being somewhere in Indiana, though, so unless youre in St Louis, you may hafta get your own ride idk
