Random Hot ears. Anyone else have this?, 😂 today food started tasting blah. Feel super full while I’m eating but not overly nauseous. And I’ve heart palpatations literally since i found out so that’s no fun.
Nausea unless I eat like every 2 hours, and I mean eat! (like a whole chicken sandwich), oh and every night before I go to bed and during my whimpering while I take my vitamins. Fatigue so bad I fall asleep in peoples face WHILE they're talking to me. And, every little twinge in my cystic ovary makes me freak out that I might have an ectopic pregnancy.
I haven’t checked my BP yet this time! They will on the 25th though. Are you referring to heart palpatations or hot ears? Lol. I’ve had heart palpatations for a long time, but these are a lot more than usual. I’ve looked it up and apparently it’s pretty common and hormonal. I’m chalking it up to the extra blood flow but I’ll still mention it to my midwife! I’ve never had hot ears before either. Ha
@GodIsFaithful93 both actually, they can be signs of high BP. I am a little sensitive to BP issues in pregnancy so take everything I say with a grain of salt but it’s worth keeping an eye on!
I’m feeling pretty whiny right now. I’ve been taking Diclegis for more than a week but I still feel super nauseous and usually vomit a couple times a day. I’m only 7W4D and I feel like there’s so much more to go before it gets any better. Also my teeth are super sensitive probably has at least partly from the vomiting. All I feel like doing is laying down and not moving.
Any other migraine sufferers here? First one has hit and nothing (ie tylenol and caffeine) is helping. None of my available tricks are helping either. I'm at work so not a ton I can do from here but I don't feel like my home tricks are going to help much either. Open to ideas if you've got 'em.
@chrssyms and @luckystar28 have you guys called your doctors to ask about other options? When I got my prescription from my doctor the nurse said if it didn't work to call back and they would try something else. Maybe something worth calling for.
@runyogamom I actually have Zofran sitting on my counter. I’ve been consulting Dr. Google and am afraid to take it. Though if my MFM prescribed it it should be fine...anxietyyyy
@luckystar28 I am taking zofran right now. It helped. I did a little googling and some of what I saw was worrisome but I found some facts that said it was fine too. I'm calming myself by saying my doctor wouldn't prescribe it if it wasn't safe and she knows more than me. But, we each have to do what we feel is best so if you're not comfortable with it that's completely fair too!
@luckystar28, @runyogamom thanks for the support! Yes, I did call and whine to my OB haha they might be prescribing some Reglan to add. Also in complete desperation I bought some sea sickness bands and I think (FX) they might be helping. I put them on too tight at first and they just made my hands numb. I do have Zofran but it was prescribed from awhile ago not by my OB so I don’t want to take it without approval. I think the hard part of all the medical research out there is that it’s really difficult to do clinical trials on pregnant women. So many ethical concerns, so most studies are done retroactively asking patients about medications they took while pregnant. It’s not the best scientific method and can be really difficult to truly substantiate any links or causation. I think there’s enough evidence out there to say it is safe so people shouldn’t feel too anxious about it
My symptoms feel like they have completely disappeared. I'm not complaining because it is a nice break. I am worried about what this next week will bring. I will be 8 weeks and I know weeks 8-10 can be the worst.
@chrssyms, I recently purchased a TENS wrist unit from Amazon (its called Emeterm). Its supposed to work like the sea bands but better? Although, it sadly hasn't worked for me, it might work for you bc you mentioned the sea bands might be working on you...idk just a thought. Might be worth a try. It's a little under $100 but anything for sweet relief, right?
I've just been doing cold watered-down juice, cold apple sauce and making sure I eat every 2 hours and a 30 min nap when I get home. Seems to be working for me so far, at least making it somewhat bearable. I just seriously hope the nausea doesn't get any worse than this:(
Anyone else deal with yeast infections (or have with past pregnancies??). I’ve been dealing with yeast infections since April because of a bad ear infection that required two rounds of antibiotics and steroids. I basically get one every month. Difference is before it would go away after my period (I guess because of the hormone drop) but now it’s come and isn’t leaving! OB gave me something topical since I can’t take diflucan. SO FRUSTRATING!!
@prpl11butterfly I just talked to my doctor today about my migraines and she said if Tylenol doesn’t cut it, that she can prescribe Reglan. It supposedly does double duty for migraines and nausea and is safe for first trimester. Can you call your doctor after hours?
@Knottie78527969 I can't relate the yeasties during pregnancy but I have read that it's not necessarily uncommon. Seems most likely a pH imbalance problem which would make sense since it seems to come and go around your period (vagina becomes more basic around thus less hospitable to yeast overgrowth). I had success w prior yeast infxns using RepHresh to maintain vaginal pH. Says it's safe during pregnancy, too. Good luck and hope it goes away soon! So uncomfortable.
Finally starting to feel pregnant. I’m pretty sure now the exhaustion is due to pregnancy. I was asleep by 8pm the last two nights. I also had heartburn last night, which really freaked me out because I didn’t get it until well into the second tri the last two pregnancies.

@TJtheGoat a 3rd round of tylenol finally helped. I usually get a horrendous one around 8wks so I will be calling if I get any more little ones in the mean time. With DS they put me on Fioricet but not until 2nd tri, and it was useless. My former PCP had me take Tylenol 3 but then I took it last pregnancy because I still had some and I failed my drug screen.
Hello week 7 and goodbye to any interest in food that isn't honey crisp apples. Also, overnight lack of bloat/8 lbs of water weight I've been carrying around for the last month. And now I'm paranoid that it's a bad sign...but I'm going to say is likely because I'm not eating any salt/refined carbs, ust a green smoothie in the morning and about a million apples.
Nausea becoming more of a constant struggle. Brain fog ever present, too. How can a baby the size of an altoid be causing such a ruckus? And how am I ever gonna through this semester?
I have been puking my guts out all morning and feel like I want to die. I never actually puked with either of my other pregnancies. I wonder why this time is different?

I got my vitamin d results from my OB today. Its crazy low at 18. She said the supplements should make me feel better. May be worth checking!
