We cant give up Hope all of you testing soon are staying positive and can't wait to hear some good news. How.you feeling @ispi and @babydust74? I went for my 3rd follicular sonogram yesterday. Follies are still there but only at 10mm at cd16. I don't know why they are taking so long. Im not scheduled.to go back until monday. Hoping they are late bloomers and keep growing and can still do IUI. Any of you ovulate around cd20 on clomid? It seems so late to be ovulating.
@bobella22 sorry to hear about the late bloomers. My cycles were longer than normal on clomid, by body would grow them until 30-33 mm and then ovulate, so it varied between day 19-22. I always wondered if they were too big, but no sense it wondering too hard since we are onto another medication. I'm feeling good, I like to assume my cycle will not work that way I am not disappointed if it doesn't work.. I would just be extra excited if it did!
@bobella22 I'm feeling great. I am tired all the time but that's about it. I feel very hopeful. AF is supposed to show up on Halloween but we are praying she doesn't show up for another 9 months. I have been reading so many message boards on women who are 40 and over and they are getting pregnant left and right on their own and with help. Stay positive.
mooret1118 I've used an opk prior to the shot. My first time with IUI they were trying to spare me the trigger shot and hoped that I would ovulate on my own in time for my appointment/timing of follicles. Ovulating two days after trigger seems normal to me as my appointments for IUI have been around 48 hours after the shot.
babdydust74 I'm not sure what the deal was with the new prescription but I don't think they profit from it? I could be wrong. Also, no symptoms on my end either which... could be a good sign?? Tomorrow is the day for me and I'm praying AF stays away - I tested too early last cycle with the first IUI and I'm not trying to get my hopes up until the weekend passes at least. Anyone else eager to test? Trying to distract myself!
I was just wondering if anyone was ready to test. Im definitely waiting. This week has flown by for me. I was thinking dang trash day is tomorrow which means it's Friday. I have had a ton of dreams about me being pregnant so hopefully that's a good sign too.
Speaking of tests what type of test do you use. They told me not to try early but I really want to try on day 12. Can you try the early tests or is it a waste of money?
Just a heads up, the trigger shot stays in my system until about 14 days past trigger at least. @mooret1118 Do you have a beta scheduled? I would hate for anyone to take a test and get a false positive due to the trigger
My RE always has me come in for betas at 14dpIUI. Some people test out their trigger with cheapie ones. I Used to test at 12dpiui but I think for my sanity I will just wait until beta and not get my hopes up this time... that is if I can still do IuI. Monday cant come soon enough.
@bobella22 So that will be CD20 for you correct? Do you typically trigger on that date too? We'll be IUI3 buddies (: Let's hope third time's a charm for us!
So last night I was curious about the trigger and my test was negative which completely shocked me, so now I’m super confused! They told me to test at 14 days and then call with result for the next steps.
@mooret1118 what was your timing between trigger, IUI and test? Are you doing an OPK or HPT? (Sorry couldn't follow if you were trying to test LH or HCG).

@crookshanks10. Mon. Will tech be cd21 for me. I ovulated around cd16 the last 2 IUIs. Not sure why my follies are growing much slower this time. They were only around 10mm Thurs. So im still nervous that I may have an off cycle and have to cancel. Idk if my body is getting to used to the clomid or what. Let's hope the 3rd time is the charm for us ; ) God willing im able to this month. @mooret1118 I wouldnt drive myself crazy over the trigger.... you had a +opk and that's whats important. Good morning ladies. Yesterday my boobs were pretty sore, I even had to undo my bra at my friend's house but they couldn't tell. I also didn't feel great but that could have been from the food. I'm still trying to keep myself mentally occupied. This week flew by for me. Counting today 5 days to go. @bobella22 I hope your body kicks into high gear and says let's get this done. I have never done so much research in my life until I started TTC. I found out so many things that I never knew about how my body worked and how to listen to it. @mooret1118 I started to test to see if the trigger was gone but I would drive myself crazy if I did.
@mooret1118 They usually won't test positive HCG from trigger on an IUI, however, they did on both of my IVFs. The sequence went like this Day 1 Final Monitoring + Trigger, Day 2 Confirmation of Trigger w/ HCG bloodwork, Day 3 IVF retrieval. So they did the HCG check the morning after trigger. My bloodwork on that morning after trigger ranged from HCG 30-100 so if I waited another day like the timing your suggesting, that 30 may not have shown up on a pregnancy test depending how sensitive it was. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Do you track your BBT? A spike would show you ovulated.

I go for my mid-cycle scan on Thursday. I'm really hoping for at least 2 follicles! If progesterone helps my spotting issue, my DH wants to try IUI at least 2 more times. I definitely would try another one if this one doesn't work, but it's been very hard on me mentally

I Know its upsetting but we have to stay positive. @crookshanks10 went in this morning and my follies haven't grown at.all so this month looks like a bust.😕 Will be moving onto injectables. Looks like I will meet you ladies @ the November IUI board. Now I have to wait impatiently for AF to come so I can start them. Does anyone have any advice on what to expect with injectables?
So got my bloodwork results and I apparently ovulated over the weekend. There is a slight chance of a positive , but im assuming since follies were small, no trigger and no progesterone, I'm going to start again mid November
@crookshanks10 that’s okay. We are planning to complete 4 total rounds of injects and iui then take a break if nothing happens, before deciding to do ivf. I’ll just be going with the flow
Hi! Just curious, did your RE say anything about moving on to IvF after three IUIs? I hope you don’t have to do that and your IUI was a success! Mine seems to feel like more than 3 IUIs is not good enough “odds” (I just had my third failed IUI).
@ashleykilmer6 I've heard anything between 3-6 IUIs. I think it also depends upon the type of IUI cycle you did. Was It aggressive? Did you have more than one follicle? Did they mature to ~18-20mm+? I've now had 8 IUIs and 2 IVFs. When I look back on the earlier IUIs I had like one small follicle (not mature enough for me from what we now know from IVF). Now we know my body better and so we're much more aggressive and get more follicles bigger before the IUI so I've had better success. I guess I feel like if I just did those first 3, my odds would have been pretty terrible considering what I know now.

@cxsimo08 That's good advice! @ashleykilmer6 At our consult my RE originally said after 3 IUIs, IVF would be the next step. However, after my 2nd IUI, I had 6 days of spotting, so they want to add progesterone in since "I haven't really had a chance" to get a BFP due my lining. So this will be my third IUI and if progesterone helps my issue, I will be open to doing 4 or 5. I think it's really a case by case decision!
I probably won't try in Nov because DH lives in MI and I'm in TX. He will fly down in Dec so I will wait for then but in the mean time I need to find d a way for us to freeze his sperm on the months he's not here. The only problem is if we pay for that and it works then we paid for that for nothing.
I was so optimistic that this was going to work especially with 2-3 good follicles. Looks like my period is on its way. I didn’t even get to the 14 days... we will see if we are back for November.
