does anyone else forget that they are pregnant?? I have been feeling pretty good lately and it just hasn’t been on my mind! I’ve been very busy with work and my kiddo so that might be part of the reason. I went and visited extended family over the weekend and after like 30 minutes at my grandma’s House my mom was like... “are you going to tell grandma??” Haha we went to a family wedding later and I didn’t share with anyone... not because I didn’t want to, just honestly wasn’t thinking about it...
I also feel somewhat uncomfortable telling people I’m pregnant... the whole thing feels a bit awkward to me so maybe I was just subconsciously blocking it out of my mind.
Feeling like a fat cow over here. Had my first prenatal appointment this morning finally and I officially weigh the most I have ever weighed. Dating ultrasound next Wednesday which I am so excited to see my little gummy bear.
Every single one of my symptoms has stopped now aside from fatigue. It’s the worst it’s been so far, I’m 10w5d and SO. EXHAUSTED. Can’t sleep more than an hour and a half at a time, and that includes at night. I’m barely getting deep sleep (thanks Fitbit) and my dreams. I’m ready for the crazy sex dreams to stop now!
My mil was supposed to be coming to visit this weekend but now she isnt. It's so selfish of me to be upset bc shes going to DH's uncle's funeral instead which is way more important but I was so looking forward to a break. And I feel like a horrible person for being upset
@wearegroot, I'm sorry that was your mom's reaction. Surround yourself with as many positive people as you need to during pregnancy! I dealt with a very negative boss my first time pregnant, and he made my anxiety about having a kid so much worse. If they won't keep their thoughts to themselves, limit the time you have to be around them to hear it?
@jmesue1030, I wish I could, still feeling pretty miserable here. Are you worried about people's reactions or just don't really feel it's real yet so you don't want to tell?
@sdelg09, seriously! What's with all the sex dreams?! My DH and I are only doing it like once or twice a week and yet every single night I feel like a horndog for the dreams I have, lol. Even though my body quickly reminds me that, ew, no, way too nauseated to be doing THAT right now...

You guys, my dog peed on our bed tonight x_x. Apparently he didn't ask my husband to take him out or anything, and I really don't get it since dogs aren't supposed to pee where they sleep. DH is pissed and I'm sleeping on the couch.
I’m a bit salty towards my DH and I should be nothing but supportive. I created an Instagram page for my Esthetics stuff MONTHS ago and stuggle to build a following. It’s going horribly. He creates a page for his freaking car and in a week is about to surpass me in followers. So I’m basically jealous janey.

I just want to whine. I have a job I love. But man, it's 4 weeks in to the semester and I feel like I'm drowning. Today I started working around 10 (later than usual), worked through lunch, left around 5. Got home, hung out with my amazing kiddo. And as soon as he went to sleep I got back to work. Took a break to do dishes. And now more work - it's 9:30 at night. I anticipate giving up for the night around 10. And I'll still be behind.
@harveyisaboysname I would be jealous too. Building followings is so much work for so little potential payoff, except apparently when you don’t even care.
My oldest DD is in the hospital with pneumonia. This is the second round within a month and the second round that peaked its head after a weekend with her SD. I am so angry! On the bright side the hospital staff and our pediatrician have been great and she’s getting better. We’ll be here at least one more day.
@wearegroot I'm so sorry the announcement didn't go well with your mom. I applaud you for having such a clear emotional survey of the situation, though. It sounds like you know who she is and although it's disappointing, it helps.

I had my NT scan today. I met with a genetic counselor beforehand- the same one I saw with my last pregnancy. It was a lot to unpack and I'm still not sure how I feel about all of it, but it seems we have a clear direction and plan for this pregnancy that I am grateful for. Baby is cute and has my nose!
@professormama she unfortunately had walking pneumonia about a month ago that even after two rounds of antibiotics didn’t fully go away. This time it came back with avengece.

@wearegroot I'm so sorry you didn't get a positive reaction! I feel like as family, even if you're concerned or not thrilled for any reason, you fake it like you're trying to win an oscar.
I spent my entire morning in a screaming match with one of my partners at work. He had the audacity to tell me i should be putting our firm first "before family, health, friends or marriage". And I haven't even shared that I'm pregnant again yet. He already thinks I can't do the job because I'm a woman and a mom. **Sigh for that conversation.
@roo1381 the "work first" mentality makes my blood boil. Sorry you're dealing with that. I struggle every day to maintain a balance and I am so overwhelmed by the thought of continuing on this way through more kids and probably for the rest of my working life.
@roo1381 your partner sounds like a jackass. Most NORMAL people do put their family, health and marriage before work. You work to live, you don't live to work.
DH got let go today. Cool. So pregnant with no health insurance anymore. This is going to be super fun, especially since I have to start paying off my student loans.
Part of of me wants to burn the office building to the ground because they have treated him like shit for the last 6 years, but part of me is actually happy because he was INSANELY underpaid. He was being paid half his market value, which is just outrageous. Unfortunately my husband is insanely loyal so he stuck with it even though I’ve been begging him for years to find a better job. Now the loyalty is gone and he can find a way better job earning double what he made. Just hope it comes with the same amazing health insurance as we have now.
@harveyisaboysname nooooo that sucks. I lost my job at 7 months last pregnancy. SO much added stress. Can you apply for Medicaid for the time being to make sure you stay covered? Fx he finds something else soon.
@roo1381 one of those friends is in the middle of a trial. She’s mixing breastfeeding supplements with espresso and showing up in the wee hours so she can be there for back to school pics. It’s hard. But she’s so passionate about the work that she’s going to go to the ends of the earth to make both happen.
@harveyisaboysname I'm sorry to hear that, I know it's stressful. I was laid off last March, and was only in this job I have now for three months when I got pregnant, so I'm super stressed about having work after baby comes. Hopefully he finds something better soon!
@harveyisaboysname I'm so sorry for that! H was in a similar position, underpaid and very underappreciated and I was on him constantly to leave! He finally did but it took years. Hoping he finds something soon.

@harveyisaboysname I'm sorry to hear that! You should see if you are eligible for healthcare through the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). It'll probably be expensive but paying out of pocket for appointments will be too.

However it is a family company and he is extremly loyal to his dad and grandfather even though he does all the work and they get all the $$
Well my exciting happy day turned to shit. I just found out my Uncle murdered his wife and then committed suicide. It makes me so sad and so angry. Domestic violence is all around us.
@blueberrymomma They did. Actually both individuals were in their 70s and had been married over fifty years. Watching the media tell the unfolding story is gut wrenching. I feel so bad for my Aunt. She finally tried to get away from him by filing for divorce last month.
