Making a big pot of chili and watching football allllllll day today. It’s finally in the 70s here (although I don’t think it’ll stay that way for long) and I’m loving it.
Attempting to not murder my neighbors cat. We have a rescue cat that we are in the process of rehoming and she is in heat. My neighbors cat has decided to camp out on my porch. My dog hates other cats he doesn't know and is constantly going crazy. Running from window to window. I even had to give my pooch a sedative to calm him down but the damn cat is now sitting on a table looking into my living room. Let's just say my pooch is not happy.
@becks_726 I've been struggling big time with dry skin during this pregnancy, and I've been using CeraVe with great success. I've also found that using a soap made for dry skin helps (I think @kayjay44 recommended Dove's Winter Care soap), as well as not rubbing extensively with a washcloth (that just irritated my skin and made it even more dry).
CeraVe works well for me too. My dermatologist recommended it for dry skin. I also just slather straight up coconut oil straight from the jar on my stomach!!
@hannahbananas11@ohsunnydays funny you mention cerave, I actually have some because it's what I use on my face at night. I'll give that a try! @bellebaby221 do you let it sink in then towel off? Thanks!!
@BourbonBiscuits are you guys getting torrential rain this weekend over in Louisville too? I’m about 1.5 hr from you and it’s been ridiculous here. We were in St. Louis yesterday and it was raining there too. I’m cool with the cool down though - we’re making a big pot of taco soup here!
@cmjenkies yes we are! We’re under a flash flood warning, which I always thought was a joke until I saw a flash flood for the first time! I’ve got all our windows open, chili simmering and cornbread in the oven so we’re good to go! Do you all have any tornado warnings around?
I’m trying to force fall out of the shadows today. Wearing leggings and a big sweater while sipping a pumpkin spice latte (my first one ever! It’s delicious!). It’s overcast and 70 degrees, but I still wore a jacket and a scarf too. Maybe I didn’t need those... I’m currently sitting by the canal waiting for H to get a haircut, life is pretty good right now!

Also, in Starbucks there was this dad with his kid sleeping on his lap and I thought of how weird it is how men are 10 times hotter when they’re dads, and I realized that H is going to be SUCH A HOT DAD and hhfglgglglgkggdf

@grebretso omg my husband became such a hot dad. Obviously I think he’s always been hot, but we took DS home from the hospital on Valentine’s Day and I swear the whole time I was confused as to how he got a million times hotter overnight.
I remember our first target trip after DD was born. H hates target so he kinda just pushed the cart slowly around while I ran through aisles. She woke up and he was talking to her and loving on her, not paying attention to anything else. I’m not kidding, every woman we passed 15-90 turned their heads and smiled. It was so funny.
We haven’t had a FFFC lately, but I just have to get this off my chest. Posting here is a better way than a passive aggressive social media post lol.
I swear to god the next person to invite me to their lularoe online party or usborne books Facebook book swap or whatever else stupid fucking MLM shit they’ll come up with next is going to get a sharp kick in the shins. If I want leggings, I’ll go to lululemon. If I want books, I’ll go to Barnes and noble. If I want super foods, I’ll go to Whole Foods or my local farmers market. If I want all natural beauty products, I’ll go to a store and buy them.
@BourbonBiscuits yes!! I luckily don't get invited to that shit but just seeing the posts drives me up a wall. Otherwise smart women are on Facebook selling awful products and it's never just about the product. It's always a huge they-are-a-better-person-because-of-it production. Wtf is in that Kool aid?!
@becks_726 that’s the worst part - it’s always women that you think are too smart for it! Which makes it harder to just roll my eyes and forget about it. If selling patterned leggings and oversized tunic shirts has genuinely changed your life, that’s ... really sad.
@grebretso- Truth. It's crazy how bonus hot my SO gets when he's being his awesome super dad self. I'm like WHAAAA, so hot. But then I'm too tired to do anything about it most of the time, because, well, life + job + toddler and now add prego . But the hot dadness is def there.
Ugh I hate LulaRoe with a passion. They're overpriced and all the prints are ugly. Last night my feed was totally spammed with it, this lady was commenting on what must have been every single clothing item for sale in a group. For some reason Facebook decided I was interested too? Had to temporarily unfollow her, I was getting a headache from all those garish leggings!

@BourbonBiscuits PREACH. I can’t stand Lularoe, and makeup seems to be the newest trend. So, so tired of it all.
I cannot wait for the cooler weather y’all have to hit here. It’s going to be right around 90 all week. The inside of my house looks and smells like fall though, so at least there’s that.
@katamca makeup is the next frontier. Like the products themselves are fine I guess. I mean love what you love. But don’t try to make me feel like I’m a bad mom for touching my child with drugstore makeup on my face. As if that’s gonna be the thing that kills him.
I've got a cousin and a friend who are both hugely into Plexus. I unfollowed them from IG because of all of the spam, and I've unfollowed them on Facebook for the same reason. Their line is always "I just want to help everyone live their best life!" Girl, my best life is getting nutrients from real foods and enjoying whatever junk I want to eat every now and then (which is a root beer float, at the moment). Back off, pyramid schemers.
@BourbonBiscuits part of my hatred of FB is the MLM crazy. I will say my old college roommate ended up getting insanely high up in one of the companies but it's still insanity. LLR is hideous, I am NOT eating/drinking something that's supposed to contain a full days worth of vegetables but tastes like chocolate, and the skincare stuff will prob make my face break out. If I wanted info, I'D ASK so go away. Rant over.
@BourbonBiscuits MLM is so annoying. Don’t invite me without asking! That said, Usborne books are actually a favorite around here. My LO likes the slides and flaps books and I haven’t found another line that’s as good. That said I would never host a party. I can’t imagine bothering my friends because LO loves flap books.
I actually have never heard of these scam-seeming sales things, perhaps because I quit fb a little while ago? But yeah, @hannahbananas11 sounds like a pyramid scheme to me!

I use neutrogena body oil after my shower before I towel off in the winter. Works wonders!
Thanks!!
For a bit yes. Then I just kind of pat dry.

I am with you guys on the MLMs, too.
