Symptoms week of 9/3

Re: Symptoms week of 9/3

  • @batmama31 are you drinking your water with a straw. Last pregnancy I had to switch to a regular water bottle because drinking through a straw made me burpy.
@lovelybabybumpz did they say anything? Or just pretend like they didn’t see them. That’s how my mom found out about my first, she went into my bathroom to get something and the positive test was sitting on the counter lol
@professormama yes to pocket panels!! I too hate full panels, I think they’re hot and itchy
  • Loading the player...
  • @baya5 I don't think they noticed, or if they did, they didn't say anything. Luckily my dining room table was in its usual condition, so they weren't the only thing there to draw the eye to. Neither of them have kids. Luckily the one who does have kids (and would have noticed), met us outside!

  • @thatbaintforbetty Eggs, so gross right now!!! I gagged while I washed a pan that my DH cooked eggs in. Just the thought of them makes me want to gag.
  • Ending a 3 day migraine/headache wrapped up with some nausea. It's been the worst week I've had...ready for the weekend and hopefully getting some relief.

  • @angelob88 omg you poor thing! Were you able to take anything? I had a horrible migraine last pregnancy and had to get an IV of reglan. Call your doctor tomorrow if you are continuing to suffer.
  • ugh, 6w4d and the nausea hit hard this afternoon. I did not feel this icky last time. And I am SO. Darn. Tired. I've been napping during my daughter's naps and still feeling tired. I usually don't let her watch too much screen time, but in the late afternoons, waiting for my DH to get home and feeling pukey, I've been letting her watch a lot more just so i can have a break.

  • I'm about 7 weeks. I don't have much of an appetite and I'm much more sensitive to certain smells (especially garlic). No morning sickness though. I've been naturally waking up at 6am or earlier everyday which is super unusual for me.
  • Started my new job today! (Possible TW) this morning though I got so anxious and terrified thinking what I would do if an MC started at my new job and they don’t know anything yet. Thinking logistically about having a pad, not tampons, how I would tell them etc. I’m more calm after meeting them bc they were so nice but still a little nervous. I had a teeny more pink spotting and cramping when I got home (which didn’t help). But overall I think it is all okay.
  • I’ve been emotional and teary and my anxiety is a little higher. I really only want to eat breads and struggle to drink water until about 4-5pm and then I’m so thirsty and I spend all night peeing as a result.
  • @baya5, omg! I was half joking, but I HAVE been drinking thru a straw! I'll switch to something else and see if anything changes. thanks!
  • @baya5 @Piccola1988 thanks, y’all. I admit that it’s hard not to feel guilty. I know there isn’t much else I can do besides take care of myself, so that’s what I’m doing. Hopefully I feel better in a few weeks!
  • So much round ligament pain
  • @gollygeeitsamy, I may or may not have been that person in college that would get just a bowl of croutons from the salad bar...

My diet is much healthier now (at least usually), but yeah, my friends mocked me endlessly .

@professormama, right there with you.  My low back has been killing me.  I don't remember it starting this early with my first pregnancy!

  • @professormama How does the round ligament pain feel exactly? I think that's what I'm starting to have but I read its usually on the right side. My pain is on the left-very low, mild stabbing pain.

Sounds like it. Basically it’s low on the sides, near where your ovaries might be or just above where your legs meet your torso. For me it’s a stabbing pain that feels almost like a brief Charlie horse or something. Best way I can describe it.
  • @professormama YES to round ligament pain. I hefted a bunch of 50lb bags around yesterday and thought I had messed up bad with all the cramping. But it's still going. Can't even tell exactly where it's coming from, it does feel like some internal muscles are protesting.

Is anyone else having night sweats? I've gotten these in the past, but not while pregnant so far, and it's worrying me.

  • So holy vivid and disturbing dreams, Batman.  I had a lovely combination dream last night that somehow mixed violence/killing people with sex orgies.

    Wth, pregnant brain?!

  • +1 for crazy dreams. Many sexual.

Also everytime I sneeze, I feel like I popped an inguinal hernia.

  • Also on the crazy sexual dream train. Last night I dreamt DH and I became swingers (so far from reality its comical)
  • @lovelybabybumpz Oh man, every time I sneeze or cough I clutch my belly... I know it's impossible, but I keep feeling like I'm going to sneeze the baby out of the uterus  :D
    Me: 29 DW: 44
  • @professormama Thanks! I'm guessing that's what it is.

And I'm another one for very vivid dreams. Usually I'll remember a dream once or twice a month but now its every single night! And they are bizarre! It's kinda cool actually to remember so many dreams. Never knew that could be a pregnancy symptom!
  • Nausea kicking in stronger (7w4d)
looking at pictures of food gives me a wave. I rarely vomit because I hate it sooooo much so I have a very tight reign on my gag reflex but it’s been harder. Also only eating food in bread, grain or sandwich form. Tried some nice roasted chicken and veggies and I ended up having to drink it with juice and eat it on a slice of toast. Even icecream
sounds terrible. I just want toast.
  • Threw up today (bile...I skipped breakfast) after sudden-onset nausea in the car. This pregnancy has not been one for nausea so that was a surprise.

then tonight, I got winded from climbing to the third floor while carrying DD. Say it ain’t so...
  • Every time I lie down one of my nostrils becomes completely blocked and the other one becomes an icy wind tunnel straight to my brain. It doesn’t drain to the other side very quickly at all when I turn over, but clears up completely within 60 seconds of standing, so—- all I need to do is learn how to stand-sleep?
Also, I used to be such a heavy sleeper but now I often wake up for an hour or two in the middle of the night.

@suchagoodone I have almost the same issue with my nose. I sleep in an moderately comfortable upright position. I actually have to sleep that way anytime I get sick or have an sort of cold. And always on the same side because one nostril has a much smaller opening and gets plugged up super easy. It’s kinda weird.

Ugh I am miserable!!! I can’t keep anything down. So so so nauseous all day. Also the anxiety is through the roof. I have convinced myself there is something wrong with my dog and have spend hundreds in ER vet bills. Doesn’t help that DH is out of town. I hope I can get through this. Thank you all for your honest posts. Glad we can be on this journey together, even if it sucks sometimes. I hope everyone starts to feel better very soon.
  • That happened to me at nine weeks and on Friday I hit 10’weeks and just like that bam it’s back.
  • 8.5 weeks and I’ve pulled out the belly band. I’m definitely, officially showing just a bit. I swear this didn’t happen until 12 weeks last time.
  • @professormama reading that makes me feel better about myself. I feel so self conscious only being 9 weeks and having some kind of bump going on.
Esp with my friend barely showing at 16 weeks.. I feel like a damn cow everytime I see her lol
Yay for all the beginning bumps, it's way more encouraging
  • @kaleesi93 I feel like last time I was worried about not showing, and now I feel self conscious that I am showing! Too ridiculous.

Also apparently I get my morning sickness at night. I’m sitting out on my front porch because my husband made chicken and broccoli for dinner and the smell is unbearable.

@kaleesi93 and @professormama I’ll be 9w tomorrow and wore maternity jeans today. My regular jeans fit but the cut me weird across what I suspect is now an official bump and no longer just bloat.

  • bloat city- my pants are starting to get tight. I also caved and got a unisom + b6 combo for my nausea; hopefully I won't have to take it for too much longer

  • I'm with everyone who feels like they're showing already!  I'm only 8 and a half weeks so I know it sounds crazy, but I know how I carry fat on my stomach and this is not it. There's a definite roundness and firmness.  It is fully nuts because I didn't show with my daughter until at least 16 weeks!  Makes it harder to keep a secret - I find myself hoping everyone just assumes it's lingering baby weight!
  • @professormama chicken and broccoli is straight from hell I'm sure of it. Blech.
I'm in the "all day sickness" camp and it's getting worse. I ordered all the b6 preggie pops that Amazon had so fingers crossed..
@MRDCle I stopped wearing jeans weeks ago because I just couldn't handle the nausea from high non stretchy waistbands. I have the most sensitive stomach in the world thanks to my ab separation
  • @kaleesi93 I know! Broccoli is SO smelly! However, it is my 3 year olds favorite veggie (weird, I know), so we have it at least once a week. What kind of monster would refuse to give their kid a vegetable they seriously love? He even eats it leftover and cold in his lunches. My husband promised to grill it outside next time though - thank the lord. Because I don't think I can survive that smell in my house again. It was still lingering this morning and I was gagging on it when i first woke up.

  • I wear bike shorts to work (because I bike in, duh  ) But sometimes I leave them on for several hours before getting into my regular clothes.

I don't typically wear pants to work. I own maybe one pair, so luckily all my dresses still fit. Although some of the more form fitting ones, I've been avoiding.

  • @professormama it's so hard when your toddler wants the one thing that smells the worst. The two year old I nanny wants nothing but peanut butter crackers and I just want throw every packet away and pretend they don't exist. >:)>:)
Smells are the absolute worst. Why does it take 14 hours to air out from dinner with two fans and the door open?
If by some miracle I cook something that sounds appealing, 2 hours later just smelling leftovers is vomit territory.
@lovelybabybumpz I wish I could wear my dresses to work, they are so much more comfortable  :p
  • I finally threw up. Almost 8 weeks and it finally happened. I don’t think I’ll be drinking hazelnut creamer again anytime soon.
