Re: Weekly Symptoms Sept 2-8

  • I have mild yet semi-constant cramping and pulling. It's weird... But I assume like everything else, that's just pregnancy.
  • Loading the player...
  • I had a lot of crampy crap yesterday especially @becks_726
  • I'm happy to hear it's not an everyday for the next 5 months thing, @madreofdragons
  • Oh the next several months have their own aches and pains.  :D
  • I am so exhausted all the time. I get winded taking a walk or going up stairs. And now I ache everywhere.
  • Any STM+ get the joys of pubic symphasis issues? I’m already getting little twinges of that BS. Not looking forward to the rest of this. I will no longer be one of everyone putting their pants on one leg at a time. Lol.
  • @madreofdragons
    *Raises hand*
It's going to be a long 22 more weeks.

At least I've been able to go a few hours today without my support band and no pain. Cooked a full dinner this evening so I'm sure I'll pay for that later.
  • +1 on the out of breath.  Went to the dog park and huffed and puffed just to make it up the hills. H, finally by the 4th hill decided I needed a boost and pushed me up :D

Yeah I had no idea I'd be so out of breath this early. My uterus isn't even close to my lungs yet! I have to walk up a seriously steep hill to get to my bus stop after work, it's torture already. Can't wait to add more weight to my body + ice on the ground.

  • I think the breathlessness this early is mostly due to the increased progesterone. Does anyone have actually pain or discomfort when/after their ankles swell? I don't remember this happening with my last pregnancy.
  • @lzzfrancisco , my feet have been cooperative lately, but that could just be because I was off work and on vacation last week.  We shall see what happens this week when Im back to work and at a desk all day.
  • Nothing happening in my ankles but I’m surprised how much my back hurts already. I’m not so big I’m throwing my weight and posture off by much but still feeling it.
Also feeling the cramping and odd pains.
I’m out of breath and light headed from everything, especially any bend & snap type action.
im desperate to get into maternity clothes but still waiting for my final amnio results before announcing and investing in new staples. My old mat clothes are all cold weather. Boooo.
  • @lzzfrancisco last pregnancy I would get home from work and my feet would swollen. This time around I can literally feel them swelling, especially at the ankles. Hoping the swelling stops when the weather cools down :/
  • @conchispita That makes perfect sense, I bet it is likely heat related. I'm a Texas girl .
  • Yes to being super light headed. If I stand up too fast I feel like I’m gonna black out. We tried to go to the park today but it was 90 degrees so I only lasted like 20 minutes. Sorry kiddo.
  • I wanted to take the kids to the zoo this weekend but it's too dang hot and humid. I'd die. A trip to Walmart was the most adventure I could handle.
  • I’m also pretty sure I could drink a gallon of milk every day. It’s all I can think about. Gotta be whole milk too. Get the f outta here with that skim nonsense.
  • Breathless all the damn time...putting DS shoes on is like an Olympic event where I’m panting when done.

also my feet, tailbone, and legs are killing me.  I just took a walk with DH and omg I’m like crippled! I’m 18 weeks...what is the rest of the pregnancy going to be like.

  • I’m also finding myself out of breath super easily, glad to see I’m not alone
  • Add me to the out of breath club. It happens at the oddest times too.

Anyone else's boobs not grown significantly? Mine are slightly fuller but not up a full size. Seems weird....
  • @becks_726 Me! My boobs grew a size or so and felt really heavy maybe a month ago, but now they’re back to normal size. Can’t complain though, the more mileage I can get out of my usual bras the better.

  • I got winded walking up my driveway today. It’s long, but there isn’t an incline. So that was embarrassing.

@episcowitch I’m with ya. If I could just poop like a regular person for a change I feel like that would greatly improve my spirits.
  • @grebretso actually now that you mention it, it is as if they've gone down a bit in the last weeks. Hormones...
  • My boobs seem to have gone back down in size slightly, too, compared to first tri.
My feet are so sore by the end of the day. It feels as if I've been standing for the entire day, even though I've not. I wonder why. It's not like I weigh that much more than pre-pregnancy.
  • This is a question for FTM and STM.... I’m a FTM and my sciatic pain seems to be getting worse by the day. By OB suggested pre-natal yoga. Does anyone have any suggestions for DVDs that they’ve used and loved for pre-natal yoga?? Specifically for help with this dreadful back pain : ( thank you in advance!
  • My boobs have not changed in size although they have gotten fuller!

  • @dogmom1118 yoga really did help with my sciatic pain! I just got a couple prenatal yoga dvds from Half Price Books. I try to pick one that isn't too ridiculous looking.

My boobs havent gone up a size yet but i got out of the shower yesterday, looked in the mirror and was like,"damn, whose doughy boobs are those?"  They dont even look like mine anymore! :#

Also i just sneezed and ended up doing a side crunch, ow... sorry round ligament

Edit: hubby had the nerve to say "and i hope they stay this way after" boyyy youve got no idea what youre in for once milk comes in but ill remind you of this comment
  • @sjnsjnsjn I’m already browsing the website and looking forward to doing some yoga later!!

@lzzfrancisco I’m happy to hear that it helps with sciatic pain. I’ll have to check out that website too!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
  • @dogmom1118

Cat pose, cow pose. Seriously those two are the best for sciatic pain. A YouTube search for cat cow is all you need. A few minutes here and there through the day will have you feeling like a new woman.
“My darling girl, when are you going to realize that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage." - Aunt Frances”
  • I second @sjnsjnsjn's doyogawithme.com suggestion! Their videos are very good!
  • Yay awesome!  I am so glad to spread the word on that site!
  • My boobs have definitely gotten bigger and feel heavier. I had to buy some maternity bras which are very unattractive, but make up for that in comfort.
  • My boobs have not changed in size although they have gotten fuller!
Same! After bfing they turned into deflated tea bags so it’s nicd they are fuller again! Haha
  • @allthingsgo "deflated tea bags" LOLOLOLOL
  • Sooooo tired! Second trimester energy where??? And yep my boobs are fuller and my bras don't fit. I have a nursing bra/maternity bra that is somewhat helping but they feel so heavy. I second the breathlessness.  Doing alot of things make me huff and puff.

Feet swelled for the first time yesterday.  Was excited I was past the puking bit(puke free almost a week!) And then nope. Last night things started again...16 weeks and still there. maybe by week 20 I'll feel better?
