Hey ladies- I posted earlier this week about having issues going pee, and since a few other ladies said they had something similar, I wanted to share what happened at my OB appt today. we did a scan in the room with the portable machine and baby looked great. However, I told the OB about the problems I have been having with being able to pee and emptying my bladder and having to go alot. She then did a cervix check for "incarcerated uterus". Since my uterus is retroverted, I am at higher risk for it and essentially the uterus is trapped in the pelvis and can't pop out. She couldn't rule it out, so she is calling MFM tomorrow. If I can't pee at all, she said I need to go to the ER for a catheter. I'm hoping MFM will have me come in tomorrow. Of course I freaked myself from google, but it sounds like if they catch it early, they can manually move the uterus up, or if needed, do surgery to move it up. My OB said not to worry, but of course I am. Apparently this condition is very rare (1 in 3000) and she has only seen one case before. Any one know more?

@becks_726- I don’t want to freak anyone out since it’s so rare but I do think it’s good people are aware just in case. I’ll keep you posted on what the MFM says tomorrow.
@kayjay10- I hadn’t either but really glad I mentioned my issues to the OB. I almost didn’t since it seemed so common but I guess it’s not usual to not be able to pee at all or empty your bladder at 15 weeks.

Hi ladies! Finally home. Everything baby related looked great. No cervical issues. Baby moving like crazy. They think I'm just having severe RLP. My abdominal muscles are probably just weak from carrying twins and an almost 9 pounder to term. Supposed to take it easy over the weekend and get my hands on a support band ASAP. Thanks for the thoughts and well wishes! I'm so ready for bed. But silver lining I did get a peak at baby. Haven't seen him/her since 7 weeks!
@bellebaby221- that is scary but so glad everything is ok!!

@bellebaby221 glad to hear all is ok! RLP is no damn joke. Mine often comes when I’m getting up out of bed and it is a severe sharp stabbing pain that doubles me over. Not cool
@bourbonbiscuits and @allthingsog- thanks ladies! My OB talked to the MFM and they weren't too concerned yet since there is still time for this to resolve naturally. They want me to do the knee to chest position (like childs pose) for 10 mins three times per day. They are most concerned if I can't go to the bathroom, in which case I need to go to the ER for a catheter. I go back next week and probably weekly until the uterus pops out of the pelvis. I'm just a little bummed since I was finally starting to feel less anxious in the second tri and now just something else. But I will keep using my doppler and glad they will keep seeing me alot.

@JamieH2000 Sorry to hear you’re dealing with this, but so glad that you mentioned it to your OB. Definitely a good reminder to be an advocate for yourself, especially when it comes to healthcare! Hope it resolves without issue.
@JamieH2000 that happened to me last pregnancy, scar tissue was keeping my uterus retroverted and I had to be monitored, luckily it all resolved on it’s own (but not until after 18 weeks) and this pregnancy my uterus is antiverted
@cassafrass15- thanks for the well wishes! Definitely never hurts to mention things I guess, I was thinking it was just totally normal.
@lifeislove87- thank you so much for sharing! I just kept reading online how rare it is and it freaked me out. Def gives me hope this will resolve naturally in the next few weeks. If it doesn’t, I’m sure they will try some interventions before 20 weeks. I keep wishing for a “real” bump but I guess I know now why I don’t have anything yet!

Well, I thought I was up a pound, but back down a pound today. Have the sh*ts still, going on a week. I think it may be the sundried tomatoes I keep testing... we make our own and I've been doing them the last week and of course I have to sample, they're so rich I don't think they agree with me.
Anyway, can't gain weight if it's going to just keep coming out as fast as I can put it in so, today I shall live off of bland food, no fruits or veg and lots of water to see if I can get this sorted.
H has said to me a few times now, I never in a million years thought you'd ever have trouble gaining weight, ( I usually yo-yo up 10lbs down 10 lbs kind of deal) isn't he a sweetheart??
@danixbanani24, lol... im up 5lbs since the start and 18w tomorrow... i better put on a few more before my mw appt on the 19th or shell be on my case. A/s on the 10th so hopefully the bubs is keeping up to where it should be despite my body not cooperating
I'm 15w and have gained nothing. To be fair I have been puking/not eating enough, but I don't understand how I can possibly be the same weight as pre-preg, because not even my stretchy sweatpants fit anymore. How does that even work? Maybe I'm so gassy I'm literally turning into a balloon.

@grebretso, i think my fetus was eatting my muscle, lol... my calves seemed to be a little slimmer oh and also my face was super gaunt. I lost a few pounds in the first tri so i guess it is more than 5 up but going by my start weight its 5 flat..
@grebretso I feel the same! I've put on a pound at most. Everything is so damn tight. I've eaten at least an extra meal a day since week 6. I haven't puked once. My bms have been fairly regular. I don't understand. It just doesn't add up!
Ugh I’ve lost 25 pounds, thanks UC and hyperemesis. My doctors are all super concerned but thank goodness bloodwork and the baby are fine. Pregnancy is rough
I’m not sure how much I am down, but I know I’m down weight - I threw up my lunch after my nap today. All I’ve had and kept down is a cup of potato soup. Thats what I get for forgetting my zofran this morning.
I’m out of tums. I’ve already gone through 5 bottles this pregnancy.
I'm up 8 pounds since the start, but I've lost all of my muscle that I worked for in the spring. Went for an 8-mile hike yesterday up a mountain (Blue Ridge, so no altitude or anything serious) and man, was it was a walk down Struggle Street. Plus I got horrible chafing on my thighs and woke up with a back ache. You guys, I feel old.
Positive note: I purchased a Snoogle from Amazon at 3am this morning when I was lying awake in bed. I'm so excited! It arrives Tuesday.
