This check-in is for October 2018 Babies who are now pooping in diapers and their sleep deprived Moms.

Didn't mean to step on your toes @knottieamusements just hadn't seen one this week and didn't know if you were tied up with Max. Wanted to give you something less to worry about!

1) How old is baby; any milestones or brags this week? Little man is a month old on Sunday (31 weeks gestation on Monday). He's gaining weight beautifully and every day they up his feedings. Now he's at 1 lb and 12 oz officially (last week told us 1 and 13 but the scale was broken lol), and he's doing super well aside from his lung issues. 

2) How are you feeling, Mom? I'm feeling good. Being back at work with the students has been good and I'm feeling better. My only stress is making it work to go visit him daily. 

3) Rants / Raves / Questions? None but thought I'd fill everyone in. The found he has something called PIE (Pulmonary interstitial emphysema) so it's just some acute damage. They put him on a different vent to heal. The Dr don't seem overly concerned about him anymore and it's a relief not to have the sickest baby in the NICU. The Dr are actually really optimistic about him and the nurses are all like "don't worry he'll be out by his due date). 

4) What's your favorite sex position and/or sex act? Let's get risque ladieeeees! Gonna go ahead and skip this because I teach HS kids who are better at getting info off the internet than the FBI.

34w2d Gestational.  Max turned one month old this week too.  He was taken off respiratory assistance this week, and we are beginning to discuss bottle and breastfeeding.

2) How are you feeling, Mom?

Exhausted.  Worried about my milk supply, even though I know ups and downs are pretty common; just trying to do the best I can with what I have.

3) Rants / Raves / Questions?

I’m tired of being too tired to deal with people.  I just want a day at home where I can introvert hard.  Unfortunately, that is not in my near future.   At least I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.

4) What's your favorite sex position and/or sex act? Let's get risque ladieeeees!

Define sex.  (I’m not exactly joking here...)

I typically define it as interaction with another person’s genitalia.  (Definitely not joking here.)

As such, I’m going to go with giving blow jobs.  

With a looser, more inclusive definition of sex- engaging in activities for the mutual gratification of you and your partner(s), I will probably have to go with hair play.

@knottieamusements bottle feeds and breast feeding are awesome for someone who has only been in the NICU a month. I know it doesn't feel like it sometimes but you and him are crushing the NICU life. And you'll be able to introvert when he comes home. NICU babies are the perfect excuse to tell people to leave you in peace.
