Breastfeeding Pain

My baby is 6 weeks and 3 days old& I'm still in pain when breastfeeding. It lasts the whole time he's latched& then for a while after he's done. After he's done nursing my nipple is white. And it's pain deep in my breast. I have been toughing it out& I don't want to stop breastfeeding, but I wish that I could figure out how to feed him without being in pain. Any advice??

Call your doctor. This sounds like a possible yeast rash, and even if not, definitely not normal. You could also call a lactation consultant.

Like thrush??.. I will definetly be calling my doctor.. This is my first baby& I don't really have anybody to ask about breastfeeding! Thank you.
