@leilee101 I measured a week behind until 10w. At 6w, the hb is just starting to beat. I'm pretty sure that baby would not have developed if the yolk sac wasn't present. I'm hoping that you can get in with your Dr ASAP. Meanwhile, stay off Google, it won't help anything. Hugs, hun. These early u/s can be so stressful.

I would lose my mind without you ladies, thank you for all your reassuring words and similar experiences. This is my first pregnancy and I went through so much just to get to this point, like so many of you. I just got a portal message from my clinic that I need to have the hospital fax over the ultrasound results so they can review them. Like are you kidding? I have been calling since 10:30 this morning, how is this not coordinated already!

Welp, just heard back from the dr. He wants me to come back in Monday but said it's likely this pregnancy will not continue. I was hoping for a little more optimism out of him, but he has never sugarcoated anything and has always been right on. I will meet with him right after my ultrasound monday morning

Hi Ladies! Sorry I've been MIA the last week and a half. Things have been crazy at home and work!

How far along are you? / EDD

How are you feeling?
good! Still exhausted, but it's maybe easing up a little? Constipation is better, thanks to some miralax daily lol

Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Just had one Monday, next one is Aug 29. 

Thoughts/Concerns?
I've mentioned before that my bp has been all over the place. It's high one day and low the next. At my appt monday, OB sent me to the hospital for a EKG (baseline) which scared the crap out of me. It was normal, but the whole process was terrifying. OB also put me on labetalol to help control the swings in my bp. I have to test at home 2 times a day now, and so far every test has been normal. I'm super happy my OB is being proactive, and it makes me grateful that I switched primaries for this pregnancy. However, I do have to see my old OB at my next appt and I am nervous. She's young and prone to being rude/ignoring concerns. She was great for regular annual check ups but not with pregnancies.This should be the only time I have to see her, just nervous about it. 

Questions:
Anyone else ever been on labetlol? Any issues with it? Side note-I'm annoyed that my bp issues are happening lol I am way healthier with this pregnancy than either of my prior 2. Maybe this is a good sign, because it's different?

I thought I would wait longer to jump in on this board but after meeting with my therapist today I am going to enjoy being pregnant. I'm going to tell friends/family and embrace the 'whatever will be, will be' mantra. 

How far along are you? / EDD 4+5 EDD is 4/20.

How are you feeling? Nauseous here and there and tired - other than that, no symptoms.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? Ultrasound 8/29. The office called today to schedule and said there was one appointment available 8/29 or I'd have to wait until the following week - no chance. I have to rearrange my schedule a little bit, but totally worth it!

Thoughts/Concerns? Only about 1 million. 

Questions: My betas were really, really high, IMO. I know there isn't a direct correlation between high betas and multiples, but could it be? We only transferred 1.

I was briefly on labetiol at the very end of my pregnancy (when I had pre-E). My OB says his first line BP med is procardia for pregnant ladies but labetiol is a much better medicine with better results. If it keeps your BP in line, I think it's awesome! It did wonders for my BP the two days I was on it. I think the only reason the first line in my case was procardia is that they weren't confident I had truly high BP and procardia won't drop your pressures too low (I got veeeery low pressures sometimes on the labetiol). I think it depends on what your highest readings are, those are what they are concerned with.

@ what were your betas?  Mine was in the 400s at 10dp5dt and 900s 2 days later.  There’s definitely only 1 in here!

@madasm0530 So the 11dp is similar to what mine was/would have been but holy increase!  I’m not sure at what point the splitting would happen, I’d think before but I have no idea!

Eta did you do assisted hatching or anything?

@mayflower513 no assisted hatching but the embryo we used was a day 6 and was already hatching when we implanted!

My twin BFP betas were about 500s 10 dpt and 2000's 12 dpt.  It was a day 6 embie and was already hatching at transfer. So maybe twins? The increases were pretty steep -- first beta was in the 100s at 8 dpt, 500s 10 dpt, 2000's 13 dpt, 5000's 15 dpt. We saw 2 strong HB's at our scan after the last beta (sadly, twin b did not continue to develop at the next scan, but twin A is getting her bottle in the next room lol ).

@leilee101 so sorry you have to go through this. Hugs and hope for good news on Monday. As many others have said, these early u/s can be unreliable (an acquaintance of mine had twins and her 6-7 week u/s missed one of them - she found out at 10 weeks! if you can miss a whole embryo, I guess you can miss a yolk sac?). Anyways, we're all thinking about you, and hope that everything turns out to be okay after all. 

@halips I've been on labetalol for years for hypertension (unrelated to pregnancy). I've found it a very easy drug to take. It keeps my bp nice and steady. I'll be taking it throughout pregnancy, and I'm also checking my bp daily in case I need to adjust the dose.

@Drove2u This is my 3rd pregnancy. But 2 years ago it was my 1st and I ended up having preterm labor and delivery in the 2nd tri, so I left the boards around 19 weeks. Hopefully this is my first that will go home with us
