The air quality (from wildfire smoke) is so bad here I'm not sleeping well and I feel like I'm getting sick. Apparently exposure to wildfire smoke can lead to decreased birth weights according to post-hoc studies. As someone who already has small babies, this is not good news and now my anxiety is crazy high.
Fuck, @kayjay44, I didn’t know that part. I have to walk for 30 min up a steep hill to get home, it really messed me up yesterday. Go away, global warming!

Had a buffalo chicken wrap at lunch. Delicious on the way down but it’s been misery ever since. I’m now holed up on the couch, drinking chicken broth while my kids are with their sitter, Pinkalicious.
My husband went on a Costco run with DS today. They got me a party pack of peanut m&ms. I cried when I saw it. Can’t waittttttt for DS to go to bed and have some peanut m&ms with popcorn.
@grebretso - I have to walk from Safeco Field to the station at King Street, which is about a 20 minute walk, including two staircases and then have to wait for the train. Apparently this is the worst 24 hours of air quality we've ever had (since its been recorded). No wonder I feel like shit.
Jesus, that’s terrible. Yeah I have to wait for my bus too, and the windows are always open. Hopefully they’ll be shut today.
Is it actually worse than this time last year? Last year cars had a thin layer of ash on them, haven’t seen that so far this year. I can believe it though, I work on the north end of Lake Union and right now I can’t see the city skyline at all. It looks like thick, yellow fog. Ugh.

Late to the game but I’m sorry @megpants209 we lost our cat unexpectedly earlier this year, his brother (from the same litter) was noticeably upset for a week but then attached himself more to us and went back to his normal self. Hopefully it’s the same way for your dog
Thank you all so, so much. It was so hard but we did it at home and that really helped. It was as peaceful as it could be. Having been through it two other times, this was by far the best experience I've had. I miss her so much already. Our pup was able to be right with us the whole time so hopefully this helps her grieve as well.
@hnbergeron I'm sorry you're having such a rough go. My entire first pregnancy was miserable. I didn't have to deal with appendicitis but the nausea/vomiting was borderline HG. This pregnancy is not a walk in the park but seems to be giving me a break (comparatively). I feel like it's mostly luck. My heart goes out to you. You got this. It WILL end. (Eventually) And it's way worth it.
DD had strep throat 2 weeks ago. It came on fast. High fever, vomiting, the whole nine yards. Literally the day after her last dose of antibiotics she complained of her throat hurting again. Last night and today was another fun deja Vu. Fuck you, strep.

Just went into the guest bedroom to get away from DH’s snoring...and I can still hear it. And it still bothers me. How is DD sleeping through this??? I wish I slept like my 2yo, girl sleeps like a rock.
DS woke up this morning screaming at 3:30. I tried to get him back to sleep in his bed (cause he will not sleep in our bed, he thinks it’s playtime) but every time I tried to seek out of his room he woke up. Finally by 4 I just took him into our bed and of course he tossed and turned most of the time. So now here I am just got to work with a pounding headache and having been up since 3:30 this morning....oh yeah and DH slept through it all!!! Ughhh
@danixbanani24, your bologna post just reminded me of my half piece of folded pb toast from breakfast I was too full to eat, that I stuffed in my lunch bag for later. (Dh did ask, wtf and if I was okay, Lol!) Time to eat it!
Phones and internet are down at work for two hours due to maintenance, so I’m having a pretty chill morning. Once my boss gets here I’ll start tidying up some old files so it looks like I’m being proactive, but for now I’m enjoying the peace, quiet and coffee.
Receptionist of the year is late for the third time this week, today because she spilled coffee on her shirt and can’t find anything else to wear. 30 min late and counting. This is beyond ridiculous.
