  • @hnbergeron that sounds super frustrating! I hope you get a hold of them soon. Sorry you are still feeling crappy.

@thechickendance I actually did forget a few times a few times when I was working and pregnant with DD. Luckily I was usually wearing long flowy tops. But I took that as a sign to switch to button free bottoms. Time for leggings and maxi skirts!
  • @hnbergeron I hope they get back to you soon! That is rough.

  • @hnbergeron you know it’s bad when you prefer to be in the hospital recovering from surgery. I hope you get some relief soon!

  • I’m feeling extra gigantic today. Also we did active shooter drills today and I cried almost the whole time.
  • @BourbonBiscuits - one of my most dreaded things to do in the classroom. It shook me to my core every time.

  • Just when I thought I was turning a corner with the nausea, it decided to rear it’s ugly head allllllll day today.

  • *Raises hand* here too. I'm not throwing up every meal, but throwing up once a day again is pretty bad.

  • @hnbergeron hg is the worst, I hope you are able to get a hold of zofran soon :/
  • Welp, if anyone could tell me why I've spent the last 30 minutes hysterically sobbing, please let me know! Wtf is going on, brain?
  • @BourbonBiscuits my husband has to do those too. The kids are always super scared during them. One even peed his pants. So sad this is where we are at in this country.
  • @danixbanani24 I know I’m excited for them to all grow up together! My sister and I are super close but we didn’t have any cousins near by. So I think it will be a lot of fun to raise out kids together!
  • *raises hand* still puking at 12w4d and it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop any time soon. Puked today because I cleaned out the fridge. Chicken is not my friend.
  • Other Disney obsessed moms - anyone else done the parks pregnant? We're headed to DL in 24 short days - I've done it with little kids and I'm prepped on that front, but I'm not sure I'm in anyway prepared to go pregnant (the intent was to start trying AFTER this trip). I'll be 16 weeks - Any tips/advice/etc?

  • @kayjay44 We were planning a trip to WDW in november, but considering I'll be around 32 weeks, I think I am going to postpone. Let me know how it goes!
  • @kayjay44 - we did WDW when I was 13w with my second. It was a much slower trip than expected - lots of fluids/ resting/ eating too much ice cream. We didn’t go nearly as hard as we typically do and that was okay with us.

I did find there there were plenty of rides for me to go on - basically if an infant could ride, I could too. I also didn’t mind sitting out the more intense rides because I’d grab a water/ Dole Whip and chill when my h went on with my DD.

We have a trip trip booked for October and I’m back and forth on it. I’ll be 25w and while I know it can be done, I feel sort of bad letting my H shoulder most of the kid “stuff” since I can’t do as much.

  • @kayjay44 is your little one feeling better? Its the worst when you cant be there for them, such guilt.

Ive been so MIA lately. So busy, randomly. And then lazy at the end of the day.
  • @cali1710 - he seems to be! No puking for 13 hours so thankfully I think he’ll be ready for daycare tomorrow. He and I have such a close bond (maaaaaybe too close...) it’s extra hard.

    @lzzfrancisco - I’ll let you know!

@okayestmom12 - we’re usually balls to the walls rope drop to closing but I’m already preparing to take a break right after lunch each day - DS and I can nap/rest while DH takes DD swimming. I’ve got comfortable shoes (sandals and tennis shoes) and a gigantic water bottle and know which rides I can’t do and which I’ll be ok on. I’m a crazy uber planner so not knowing if I am prepared is driving me crazy!

  • @ everyone who responded to my drill post (god I’m pathetic) it was a scary afternoon for sure. Luckily we’re learning a new protocol so the kids won’t have these kinds of drills for a while. We’re a JK-12 school though, so having to think through differentiating that training from 4 year olds to 18 year olds is just terrifying and overwhelming. Ugh.
  • @hnbergeron - this is by far the worst first tri I have had. With DS, it was easy. It’s not always this hard.

  • @hnbergeron Same as @kayjay44. With my first (DD), I had some food aversions and I puked like 3 total times during the whole pregnancy. With my second (DS), I only had a little nausea. With both of them, it was gone by now. This little stinker is causing all of the problems and we’re already not friends.
  • My niece who is 21 just told us she is pregnant and due March 29th. I am ecstatic that this child will have a cousin close to the same age. Also looking forward to not being the only pregnant person around. This should take a lot of the attention off of me since I am a stm and she is a ftm. I am stoked about it since I literally hate attention being on me. I enjoy my privacy and find it hard when everyone is asking questions and getting in my business when pregnant.

@jessier19 dont feel bad i once locked my cat in the bottom drawer of my dresser for like 24 hours  :). In fairness... he climbed in there when i wasnt looking.  :D
  • @jessier19 my cat has a knack for getting herself locked up places. We went on a week vacation, she had snuck in the closet while we were packing, she spent the week in the closet. We went on a trip for a weekend, she was locked in a bedroom, another one, locked in a bathroom, another one locked in a cabinet. We now have to have extra precautions just for this one cat.
  • @grebretso Oh god how ridiculous! Facebook has been giving me endless ads for clothes and bras, because apparently that's all I care about.
  • @jessier19 Oh yeah, I definitely get tons of clothes and bra ads too. I got bra ads way before I was pregnant as well, Facebook just wants me to have a million different bras I think. Funny, because I have tiny titties and I don’t even normally wear bras!

  • Do you guys avoid hot tubs just in first tri, or your whole pregnancy? H set ours pretty low at 99-100° but I'm undecided if I want to give it a try for a few minutes. My back has been killing me and I think it would help.
  • My dr said as long as you don’t use anything hot or long enough to raise your overall body temp it’s safe. I had to recently use a heating pad for my back and it felt awesome so that may be another route to go if you don’t feel safe about the hot tub.

@bleucheeznwine my midwife said hot tubs are perfectly safe as long as they're set to 100° or less. She suggesting just grabbing a thermometer and sticking it in the water to double check in case I was anxious it might be too warm. I haven't been avoiding at all. It feels so nice!
  • @bleucheeznwine - I go in ours - it's set to 98-99. I've done it with all three. If I start feeling overheated or crappy, I get out. No problems.
