I just turned 35 this minth. They already informed me that I'm AMA, so they took care of scheduling me right away without any wiggle room in the timing.
@edotf104 Hi! Happy last week of summer! I'm a reading specialist in Frederick Co. Where are you?
Same to you! Kindergarten in Montgomery County-- so ya know, neighbors It's hard to believe summer is basically over.
We are neighbors! I know, I can't believe it's time already , BUT we will have a short year. Hope you have a great year with your kinders. I love that grade!

I couldn't be happier with the timing! Our DS is June and DD is May, so this will be the longest time off and I'm excited for the few extra week of snuggles

OMG! I'm the old lady of the group! I'm 43 and may or may not be 44 when LO is born. The due date is right around my birthday. DS 7 (11/1/2010) DD 6 (8/9/2012)

@Merried_2008 I think that's fantastic!! I'm pretty sure I'll feel the same at 43 as I do right now, at 38.....because I feel the same now as I did at 35, 33, you get the idea

I just realized that I wandered onto the wrong board (I'm due in March) but can I stay in this thread? Pretty please? I'm 37 next month and wanted to hang with the other geriatric Moms
Hi ladies! I just turned 37 and found out today I’m expecting #2. DS is almost 7 months so I just went through all the AMA stuff. This baby will be our caboose. Not sure yet if I’m getting a tubal or DH a vasectomy.
I’m in the AMA club this time...very surprised to find out I’m having our 4th at 40, almost 41! I’m due April 11th and the other three will be 14, 12, and almost 9.
I’m 37. I’ll be 38 on this little one’s due date (4/27). This is our third and last. I was planning to get a tubal but now leaning towards DH getting a vasectomy or me getting another IUD.
Anyone else waiting to make their appointment? We've known for almost two weeks and I finally made my appointment. not sure what to expect not that I'm considered AMA. Anyone care to share their experience?
@LeslieCHNC last time around i had my first appointment early to test hcg levels. Other than that and the blood tests for abnormalities, nothing was different compared to being pregnant in my 20's. They told me to watch my carbs because i was at a higher risk of GD being AMA, but luckily i passed my tests. Baby came almost 2 weeks late, not early, and everything was pretty normal. I still think issues are the exception, even with AMA.

I guess i'm just most stressed about my history and how that will play out with being AMA. I had PreE and fetal growth restriction with my first. All the extra appointments were so stressful! With the other 3 they induced me the second my blood pressure started to jump around like crazy. So 37 weeks is the longest I've gone. feel like a crazy person doing this again. Lol.
@cabearit LOL I also am excited about the built in babysitter... my son is pretty excited, and he is pretty good with kids already, so I think he will be a natural helper
I was AMA with my first and sort of liked all of the extra scans. I had tried for a really long time to get pregnant and every little kick, jab, hiccup made me love her even more. I loved seeing her and watching her grow on all those ultrasounds. Whew... getting nervous about how my body will handle pregnancy #2... symptoms are already so very different. Had mostly food aversion with DD, but this time, I would like ALL.THE.CARBS.
@LeslieCHNC I was glad for the extra bloodwork and scans. Made me much more at ease during my first pregnancy with DS. Just did my first blood draw and got results today. Will do those until my HCG hits 2,000 and then an US. There are more things that can happen (stress on the can) so it’s good for your doctor to monitor. I was extremely grateful for it towards the end. I battled low amniotic fluid and high BP for 3 weeks before I was induced. I would have never known any of it without the monitoring. They got me the treatment I needed to keep him in until 39 weeks and avoid a NICU stay.
I'll be 36 when this one is born. DH will be 39. One DD for us, she is 15 months. The only extra I'm getting is the blood work to test for abnormalities. No extra US, buttheads.
Hi, ladies!! I'm 36, will be 37 next week so I'll be 37 when I deliver. This is my second. DD is 3. Had a relatively uneventful pregnancy the first time around other than having gestational diabetes during (which I managed by diet yay!) and then during labor water breaking early and ending up with a c-section 24 hrs later. Not going to lie, I'm a little relaxed knowing that I'll be able to schedule my csection this time around instead of having an emergency type of scenario.
DH is 43 and I’m 35, will be 36 when I deliver. DS is 4, will be 5 when baby arrives. I’m nervous and interested to see how this pregnancy is different then my first, since I’m AMA this time around. I also have two step-kids 18 and 14...they weren’t excited the last time I was pregnant so I’m not looking forward to telling them this time. However, I’m super excited for my DS to have a sibling with the same mom. He doesn’t know yet but he has started telling me he wants to be a big brother.
I'm 40. I will be 41 at the time of delivery. I'm nervous but excited because I didn't really think I could get pregnant at this age (what a 5% chance?). I was 27 when I had my son. I don't remember being this uncomfortable but I was in my 20s so everything was easier then. Lol.
@twinietwin I’m in the same boat. My oldest will be 14 and the other two will be 12 and almost 9. I thought we were done with babies and were focused on high school and middle school...but now I guess we get to do both.
So I just took a call from MFM office that my ob-gyn has referred me to them. So looks like I will be seen by both of them for this pregnancy. yay me....just praying it's less stressful then last time around of doing this with my first. Thankfully both are housed in the Same building right next to the hospital this time around.
Just turned 35 last week! Don't quite feel "geriatric" but...okay. This is my third and last pregnancy. I feel obligated to savor every moment, but already pregnancy symptoms have me feeling terrible. Here's hoping things start to settle down.
