@kaleesi93 Add another gardener to the mix! I have a pretty extensive veggie garden in my yard. I love starting my own seeds and watching things grow. Although the f***ing bunnies are eating EVERYTHING this year. Even my container corn! Such a bummer

@socks2819 awww that's wonderful though! Growing things is so therapeutic! I'm sorry about the bunnies tho omg.. little stinkers. It's like there's always one that spreads the bad habit I dealt with a huge mite attack that killed my beloved rose recently and it just hurts your heart! @MRDCle aww that's the cutest little guy!
@gollygeeitsamy@kaleesi93 - where do you guys find the space to refinish? The last time I did a major staining project was a solid 13 years ago, on a covered patio in perfect Florida weather, and it took me a week between coats. Now, with no garage and a very rainy spring, I barely can get my ikea chairs repainted before it has to come in. And DD tries to get into everything.
Hmm I seem to be alone in the essential oils/herbs/crystals camp around here. I like making my own natural cleaners, and cooking with herbs from our garden. I like following and reading about rock bands, listening to podcasts about cleaning/organizing and also watching The Office for the 800th time. When I'm not pregnant I'm very into wine- reading about it, tasting, traveling to wineries, taking wine classes, etc.
DH and I are also really into marching band/drum corps (it's how we met) and right now world championships are happening in Indianapolis so we are both obsessively watching our livestream and checking for score updates.
@scp2585, I'd be interested to hear your opinion on essential oils during labor. I was doing some reading on natural birth and lavender kept coming up as a relaxing aromatherapy oil to use. I've used it to help fall asleep, and I know the benefits of aromatherapy, but haven't looked too far into their use in labor.
@kangstadt I'm currently researching myself so I'll keep you posted! The Pregnancy Podcast did an episode I just listened to and lavender was the most popular choice and showed the best results. Clary sage is supposed help during labor as well but should be otherwise avoided during pregnancy. It's difficult to find evidence based research on essential oils because Young Living and Doterra have such a monopoly on the market but I'm going to see what I can find.
@scp2585 let me know what you find out about essential oils during labor too! I keep a bottle of lemon oil with me at all times so I can take a wiff to ease the nausea.
Hobbies are sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine, swimming a LOT, experimenting with makeup, and travel! Came back from Japan and South Korea barely a month before we got pregnant and I hope we can go back one day with the baby. I also like to color, and when we’re feeling lazy I color while he plays video games like overwatch and fallout. Idk how many of you play video games, but the music from fallout is awesome! Also... I have a weakness for Korean dramas and movies. They always make me cry.
@lyse01 I have an apartment now so I don't do refinishing here but I take projects over to my boyfriends parents, they have a huge porch and I just use lots of tarps, the place I lived before same deal, yard if the weather is nice, porch in between, and a lot of it depends on what you're doing.. non toxic paint is fine indoors, chem paint strippers not so much @scp2585 I didn't list it as a hobby but natural healing will always be my life! I had bad experiences with oils in the past but they certainly have their place and as long as you use them safely, they're awesome! I'm still learning about crystals, its fascinating, I've only put amber necklaces on babies for teething but I'm thinking about getting my friend wearable amber too for an autoimmune disease because I hear such great things

@kaleesi93 I do love it! Thankfully the bunnies aren’t a fan of peppers and they haven’t dug up my carrots or potatoes! So something survived at least
