I realized I updated on Facebook but not here, from my last appointment. On 8/24 I had another ultrasound with the OB in Denver. It was basically a growth scan, and making sure nothing new shows up. Baby-saur is growing on track and looked good! It was SO nice to have no new news, or surprises! DH asked about the limbs being short, he has short arms, on his mom's side are a lot of short people and DIL has a long back and short legs. Dr said baby's limbs were within the normal range of length, and would look normal. If there hadn't been other things going on, they probably wouldn't have even mentioned the limbs, but because of the other issues, it can be a red flag of sorts. We also asked about the baby's movement. This baby definitely moves! Really throws some punches and kicks and moves like my other three. Dr said it's hard to say if it'll be a sign of how things will be after baby's born, but I'll take it as a good sign! I told one of my friends that this baby sure moves and can really throw a punch and she said maybe he's telling you THIS is what I think of you saying I could have low muscle tone! Pow! We also visited with a neonatalogist (I think? NICU Dr) and she seemed fairly knowledgeable about these sorts of cases. I'm guessing she's dealt with a few... She pretty much reiterated that we will basically know what we're dealing with, when we're dealing with it. They're going to do another MRI shortly after baby's born. She said the time we spend in Denver will all depend on the lil guy. She's seen neuro cases go home after a few days with follow-up visits later, and she's seen them stay for a week or so. I'm maybe crazy, but I've a feeling this lil guy will blow everyone's mind with how well he's doing. And even if there's complications and delays, that we can do it. Not by ourselves, but with God's help and all the love and support from family and friends. I was reading back on this thread a bit and got really teary eyed! I feel so blessed, lucky to have everyone's thoughts and support!
