Ages (you and SO): I am 30 DH is 33
How many months have you been TTC?: This is month 4
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: BBT, OPK, PNV, Suppliments
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I am a design project manager for a construction firm, I specialize in commercial historical renovations. We have a 4 year old dog and a rabbit who is somewhere between 11-13 years old, he is a grumpy old jerk. In my spare time I love crocheting, I need to keep my hands busy to ease my mind.
I am a longtime lurker here and last month I told myself that if I made it to month 4 of TTC I would start participating. Since today is (unfortunately) CD1, here I am. I am in awe by you ladies and your support for each other. Even though I was the creepy lurker until this point your daily posts have helped me through this tough journey. Every single one of you is incredible and I feel a sense of calm in officially coming out of my lurker status and joining this community. Thank you for having me.
What kind of dog do you have ??
Ages (you and SO): 32 & 44
How many months have you been TTC?: Not actively ATM. More info in sig.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: NTNP. Considering starting up OPKs & temping again regularly soon to see if anything's changed with my cycles. If not I'll end up making an appointment with a new IF specialist by the EOY, since my old one no longer practices here.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
DH has 2 amazing teens who I've known since they were 7 & 3. She's a sophomore in college, super smart, level headed. Joined the Army National Guard when she was 17 and is thriving. He's a sophomore in high school and a carbon copy of his father personality wise for better or worse, lol. He's also very intelligent but frequently gets bored and has trouble applying himself. I think he could really thrive in either IT or engineering as an adult as long as he can stay focused.
I have an 8 1/2 year old Siberian Husky who's a total diva (but sweet when she wants to be). She's 90% fur, but 110% personality.
My favorite hobby is cosplay (a form of costuming) and I've been doing it since I was in middle school. It's a labor of love, but sewing, wefting, dyeing, rhinestoning, etc. gives me a good creative outlet. I also recently started doing sketches with my best friend for our local Nerdlesque troup. Neither of us are interested in doing traditional burlesque, but the fact that we can do some more tongue-in-cheek comedy and saucier skits that we couldn't perform in other venues is super appealing!
I currently work in IT but am frequently a dumping ground for other problems in my workplace (but hey, being accommodating got me Employee of the Month for June? Now if only they had a nice pay-raise to go with that). I'm on track to get a promotion soon, hopefully by the end of the year (knock on wood). DH works in the transportation industry and just got promoted to a supervisory role (go DH!) Sucks that he has to go out of town for training, but I think he'll do really well and it'll actually cut down on the amount of OT he works.

I didnt see this new thread until after I posted on the 7/30 one. Sorry we are all here but seems like a good group. Looking forward to getting to know everyone
How many months have you been TTC?: it has been years.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: we are restarting fertility treatments.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Hi!
My husband and I have two dogs. I'm a paralegal and he is a teacher.
I love Disney, everything Fall, Harry Potter, Netflix marathons, and Hallmark Christmas movies.
My husband and I did two medicated IUI cycles last year, both of which were a bust, and due to finances and our mental wellbeing, we took a break. We are going to a new clinic on the 23rd for a consult. We are dealing with MFI.
I cant wait to get to know you all!
Ages (you and SO): 33 and 31
How many months have you been TTC?: technically since December, but with a loss during that time.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Ava, opks, fertility friend, supplements and now clomid
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have a 2 year old, 1 fish, 3 geckos, 2 cats (1 is pregnant and due anytime) and I was a nanny. I start next week as a paper courier. It actually pays me more, it's way less stressful, and I can stay home all day with my son and not drag him out to anyone's house. It's going to be great.
I like to bake, read, and now I weave fabrics on a floor loom at home. I started hand dyeing my own yarns and it looks so good! I'm currently weaving a scarf with some ring spun cotton that I hand painted. It looks so pretty!
@projectalice Do you like your AVA? I bought one after our loss last year but I got frustrated by it not learning my cycles in what I considered was a quick enough manner. Started wearing it again a few days ago and the band broke...oops
@riff323 A little bit of everything: Anime/Games/Comics/Movies/TV/Cartoons/etc. We judge contests/guest speak/etc. a lot more than we compete now so we're delving into more comfortable costumes to wear just "around". Currently that involves a lot of Miraculous (super cute French cartoon) but next year will probably be a lot of My Hero Academia (anime). For our one competition we found time to do this year we made gowns belonging to villains from an older anime called "Sailor Moon". We ended up getting Best in Show Craftsmanship & Best Masters-level Performance alongside 3 of our friends doing a parody of the "Cell Block Tango" from Chicago, so that was exciting!

As for Hallmark Movies, I can never remember the names, but it has Lacey Chabert, and she is dating the prince, and they go to his country for Christmas.
@riff323 It's still my favorite anime. Our skit was super fun! I did Nehelenia and my friend did Beryl, but our group also had a Mistress 9, Diamond, and Galaxia. Diamond wrote original monologues for all of us and we added a lot of glam to the costumes to "Broadway" them up a bit. It was probably the most intense project I've been apart of, but the payoff was totally worth it!

My husband is in the military and we have been stationed overseas for about 2.5 years! He is planning to head to med school in a few years once back stateside and I'll be graduating with my Masters degree this fall. We have two amazing dogs we adopted here overseas, and cant wait to add a human child to our family! I too love EVERYTHING Disney and HP! I guess I am with like minds. My career field is animal conservation, and I do a lot of work in Greece and Nepal.
I do have hashimotos and a few other health concerns so we are going into TTC with open minds. I love anything natural, I love learning new ways to nourish my body and love cooking! I'm a vegetarian so I've learned to get creative.
I also love to read (a ton!) And am always happy to talk books! Happy to meet you all and be here!
@WildMagelet I do like it! It usually takes 2-3 cycles to really catch on, but I love the fact I don't have to wake up to temp. You can still gather and interpret the data yourself, the predictions just may be off in the app. My sleeping schedule is very erratic so it's perfect for me. You can also contact customer service via email and complain about the strap. They will either replace it or give you a discount code for another. Or you can use a big stretchy wristband with the sensor under it.
