Weekly symptoms thread.
I’ll start us off, I’m just now starting week 3 of insomnia. I’m getting 3-5 hours at night broken up. With my first pregnancy I couldn’t get enough sleep and would fall asleep at 7pm on the couch and sleep for 10-11 hours every night. Currently watching Sleepless in Seattle cause it felt fitting.
Re: Symptoms week of 8/5
As for me, I've been bloated and burping nonstop since last Tuesday. Not really nauseated, just uncomfortable so it makes eating not fun. Also realized last night that my nipples are super sensitive. With my first pregnancy, the first sign I had was my boobs being sore. It's crazy to think symptoms can start this early! My DH keeps telling me it's just in my head.
Nausea has been on and off for me, but it's been very on this weekend. Practically jumped out of bed as soon as I woke up to grab breakfast to try to settle my stomach. @kangstadt my husband says the same thing, I always threaten to vomit on him and tell him I didn't, that it's just in his head.
So far I've been super exhausted, falling asleep at like 9pm.
Increased thirst for water and increased need to pee.
Bloating and a little cramping occasionally.
Then mid last week I started getting little twinges in my boobs and now they just feel a little sore.
Lastly, no cravings per say yet but I'm starting to feel angry when I'm hungry and am not able to immediately eat. Plus my sense of smell is starting to kick up.
@nottodaysatan, a coworker's dog got sprayed by a skunk for the second time this month on Wednesday night. I knew Thurs morning before he even told me.
Oh, and I forgot to add acne like I'm a freaking teenager again. Sigh.
I was bloated like crazy yesterday, so much so that it was almost painful. I've also been snacking nonstop like you @kangstadt to keep the bloating down. I joke with DH that I'm starving, eat, get nausea/bloated, starving again. It's a vicious cycle.
Other than the bloating I've had cramping on and off as well as getting nauseous throughout the day. The fatigue is catching up to me as well. Amazing how something so small can cause such uncomfortable symptoms.
@kangstadt I've been starting off my day with fruit, snacking on almonds before lunch, then lunch, then almonds then dinner and done. So I mean, I'm trying to keep it at bay. Went to the grocery store this morning and got lots of snacks so!

@angelob88, it is a vicious cycle, isn't it? I'm hoping this isn't a sign that I'll be puking in a few weeks! It really is crazy how it affects us so early and so hard.
@nottodaysatan, good idea, I may have to buy almonds or something soon. My house is pretty bare of good snack foods. I'm vegetarian also, so finding protein rich filling meals can be difficult sometimes (especially when I've been too tired to cook lately!). I'm going to talk my DH into making mac and cheese tonight (he adds tofu and tons of cheese, so at least it's somewhat healthy!)
@BarefootContessa, ugh, I feel for you! Do you get nauseated or to the point of throwing up also? With my first I never threw up, just felt nauseated 24/7. Blech, hope you get some relief soon!
I can't stop snacking
I'm constipated
I'm slightly nauseous here and there
though honestly my morning sickness was so off the charts with my first... I'm trying to not take my relative lack of nausea and lack of tiredness (so far I have pretty good energy whereas I was exhausted last time) as a sign of anything. I keep reminding myself that each pregnancy is different. But my relative lack of symptoms is strange to me and sometimes I can't help but worry. I mean the symptoms I have ... The extra snacking could explain the constipation and bloat... I'm just trying to stay positive and not overthink things. Lol. Not my strong suit
Only 7 more weeks until second trimester when the fatigue and hunger (hopefully) subside some.
@scp2585 the tender 'bewbs' (:D) is a very subtle symptom for me and it didn't arrive until this weekend!
@luckywife10 I hope you get some relief soon! Fatigue and hunger are no fun. At least in the 2nd/3rd trimester you can give into the hunger with a little more gusto, if it doesn't go away completely
I've been a touch queasy since 7/18 a couple days before BFP, and then on Thursday afternoon I started feeling really nauseated at work and it's been that way since. I powered through Friday (got to work an hour late, though
Lately when I wake up, my throat is super dry and nothing sounds appetizing so I've been skipping breakfast (bad habit, I know). Not sure if that's another symptom or possibly a summer cold coming on.
What’s surprising and new with this pregnancy is I’ve despised the taste of my morning coffee for the last few days. It tasted like I brewed it with vinegar or something, just very acidic and bitter (even for coffee). I’ve been a daily coffee drinker for maybe 10 years. Husband made some using the same pot/beans and said it was fine, same as always, so this is totally me.

Other than that, sore boobs, bloating, occasional cramps, cravings and aversions. Looking forward to the second trimester and I’m only 5w5d
But it today I’m definitely EAT. ALL. THE. THINGS.
