@VallieS86 Sorry you're still feeling crappy:( Hopefully this doesn't last another 6 weeks and you get the second trimester break that everyone looks forward to!
@AshVA I'm sorry about your doctor, accidental deaths are realky upsetting.
@VallieS86 I faint in 2nd tri relatively easily. it sounds like you were pretty close. For me, I feel suddenly horribly nauseous, then break out in a sweat, then my vision and hearing start to fade out. As soon as my vision starts getting weird i realize it is fainting, not MS and sit down immediately. Usually sitting, sometimes with head between knees, is enough to prevent outright fainting. Sucks because it feels like a sudden wave of MS and it is hard to tell the difference.
I think I've been feeling some flutters - light movement in the right spot, but a little earlier than I expected (14 wks 2 days). Holding out a while before calling it baby for sure.
Tailbone pain is still a major issue for me. Stretching is not helping. I'll probably go to PT if it continues much longer.
Now I want to go for a run, but I'll get a side ache immediately because I just ate more.
I ate all the junk in sight yesterday. I even had these gummy bears and sour worms delivered from Indiana - I live in Pennsylvania. They are the BEST gummies that I've ever had. It's a company called Albanese.

@kns1988 Albanese gummies are the best! Probably one of the biggest perks of living in KY -- they are sold in our grocery store bins!
@luckymay2x I have also been having out of control tailbone and left hip pain. I finally conceded and booked a session with a chiropractor today. FX it helps!
@ladystout08 what were you thinking?!?!?! In a similar line of thought: have any of you bought maternity clothes from Zuilily before? I'm not familiar with the brands, but FTM so...

I have no idea other than "holy crap I'm late" haha.
DH got his lab tests back, and he has Lyme's disease for the second time. It's actually kind of a relief because at least the pain and depression that he's been dealing with are treatable. He's having the exact same symptoms as last time, just not as bad yet.

I started watching the new season of Orange Is The New Black this weekend, and will likely finish it tonight That show always messes with me emotionally as it is so relevant to real political and social issues.
We found a house to rent. DH will have a longer commute but we will have our own laundry and a backyard and not have to hunt for parking or drag all our stuff up to second floor apartment anymore! And a bathroom that doesn’t share a thin wall with DD’s room.
@wkuandrea I have no personal experience with zulily but a few of my friends rave about it for maternity clothes! @kns1988 I hope your husband starts feeling better soon! @merostomata I love Orange is the New Black but I just don't know if I can watch the new season right now. My anxiety has been raging lately and that show makes me so anxious on it's own. I think it might kill me.
My feet were so swollen today I swear my shoes were cutting off circulation. I hope the heat has something to do with it and this isn't just my life now. I was not planning to have to buy all new shoes too!
@wkuandrea I pretty much got all my maternity tops off of Zulily last pregnancy. I was happy with all my purchases!
@kns1988 I'm happy to hear he has a diagnosis and a treatment plan. It makes a world of difference having that reassurance.
@pttomato Yay for laundry and parking! Seriously two very worthwhile reasons to move.
@kaf1788 towards the end of my last pregnancy I bought some super comfy croc sandals and they were just about the only thing I could wear. When I bust them out now on a rare occasion my SO calls them my orthopedic sandals.
@ashva so sorry for the loss of your RE. We became very close to ours and I can completely understand how devastating this must be for you.
I'm currently 17+1. My nausea/morning sickness has come back with a vengeance and I do. not. approve. Actually had to stay home from work yesterday because I couldn't move far from the toilet. And today I vomited up my plain bagel at work. I'm so annoyed because I thought I was in the clear! UGH.
My wife and I have conceived a babe with my body and frozen donor sperm through IUI, with medication support (clomid, ovidrel, and injections of progesterone) IUI #1, #2, and #3: Dec 2017, Jan 2018, and Feb 2018 - all BFN HSG Test: April 2018 - all clear! IUI #4: April 15/16, 2018 - BFP!! EDD: Jan 7, 2019
@AshVA I keep getting invited to all these concerts and other events and I keep thinking why go if I can't drink ??? I'm not even a big drinker but I'm missing beer already.
@AshVA, I'm sorry to hear he was your RE. I saw the post from Shady Grove (My RE was at Shady Grove in Towson) and then saw the news story yesterday because the accident wasn't far from our beach house (actually it was right where we spend a lot of time on the boat). Such a horrible, freak accident I feel horrible for his family.
@AshVA I hear you. We went to the Red Sox game on Monday where the sox won 2-1 in 13 innings. But I obviously didn't stay the whole game because I could not deal with being surrounded by drunk people and hot dogs for that long. So much FOMO
Well, if I had to go to a baseball game when I can't drink, at least it was one in which the Nats routed the Mets, 25-4.
In all seriousness though, what is even the point of baseball without beer?
Edit: spelling
25?! Dang!
I'm headed out of town for a wedding this weekend, and the groom (who I'm close friends with) emailed our friend group about a beer festival we could go to the day before the wedding if we wanted to.

Speaking of not drinking, our friends want to have a pool party to celebrate August birthdays and talking about bringing sangria and i'm just not really looking forward to it. I'm not buying a maternity swim suit for 1 flipping day. Can't wait for everyone to be drinking and swimming. I might stay home last minute.
@galactickates it's so hard to be pregnant and not drinking for these fun summer months. If you have a two piece you could always rock that?? (I'd be tempted to skip too, but, options)
My good friend is having a 30th birthday extravaganza weekend in San Diego in a couple weeks, and I'm so sad to not be drinking and probably struggling to stay up to 10pm. I'll be such a downer in the group- hopefully not stuck being the DD too much. Next time I'll try to get pregnant in September, lol.
ETA: show off that bump! I'm uncomfortable in a bathing suit no matter what, I feel like with a pregnant belly I have an excuse.
The drinking on the other hand...can't help you there. I've been bringing my own mocktails places where I know there will be drinking. It helps. Will there be good food at the party?
Ugh. You guys are reminded me that I have two weddings that I have to go to at the end of September / beginning of August and won’t be able to drink. They’re all DHs friends from college too so I also really won’t have anyone there to chat with. This should be fun.
@sfgiantsgamerbabe I’ve been trying to think of excuses to go to target all day! Then DH asked me to come visit him at work so DD and I are going to go grab smoothie king and then stop by. Not target, but it’ll do.

Any tips on getting through the afternoon slump? I usually have decent energy until about 3 pm, then I'm exhausted and miserable from 3-5:30. It's horrible because this is the time I usually need to pick up DD from daycare and start dinner. I've always gotten tired around this time of day, but now that I'm pregnant again I'm almost nonfunctional.
@Mandamay1414 any chance of a quick cat nap? That usually works for me, but can also backfire. Or if you're able to go on a quick walk, it gets the blood flowing and will keep me semi-perky for at least a couple hours after.

Oh man, the last week or so I’ve been able to nap again, but I’d say it backfires at least half the time.

@molosmiles & @merostomata I have tons of two pieces but everyone we are friends with is in really good shape. I'm just not feeling the big belly bikini look. Idk what I'll do.
Also i'm not a fan of mocktails. I never really enjoyed the taste of drinking. If i'm going to drink it's going to be worth the calories. I'll deal. It's one party, just not that excited
@Mandamay1414 sometimes I have a few sips of real coffee and that gives me the boost I need to finish my day. I don't drink any in the am so I figure it's a wash.
