@danixbanani24 - It should come back all at once. One of the reasons I'm so thankful for our practice is that results are released pretty quickly online and in an app once the OB/MW has reviewed. I would take it as a good sign that they said nothing, though. They'd likely want you to see MFM ASAP if something was potentially wrong.
@danixbanani24 I wouldn’t worry! I waited two weeks and called to check on my results and the receptionist said “Oh, the doctors been trying to reach you”. They had my phone number listed incorrectly on file. I asked her just to tell me the results and she said the doctor has to go over that with you but would you like to know the gender. I must have sounded upset to her because she quietly told me that the results were low risk. I think it was just policy so that the doctor can go over what the test really means in more detail.
I would try to call back at a different time to see if another (more sympathetic) receptionist will read the results over the phone.
@danixbanani24 my experience with doctors giving bad news is that they would never allow it to wait that long. They might try to talk to you directly, whether by phone or in person, but they’ll make sure that that conversation happens ASAP. There are lots of situations where it’s illegal for a receptionist to give you medical information, and if your results came back normal, that’s when a doctor might think sharing the results could wait, while the receptionist just isn’t allowed to tell you what’s happening. Call back and explain that you’re freaking out with worry about the results, and ask if a nurse or other medical professional can please call and share the results with you as soon as possible. It sounds to me, based on your doctor’s lack of urgency, like everything is probably fine.
NT US went well! Took a while to get baby into position, but the measurements were well within normal range. Now I’m just waiting for the blood results, but I’m way less worried than before.

@danixbanani24 my office never called me to tell me any of the results were in, they just posted them to the patient portal for our hospital system and I got an email. The company I used (Counsyl) still don’t have them finalized on their site yet, but my OB scanned their report into my chart so I got it anyway.
I got my NIPT results. All normal! I’m so excited. Deep down I was convinced that it would come back high risk. I told my midwife that we don’t want to know the sex, but I know the sex is still written down on a piece of paper in her records now. So weird to know that I could find out now if I wanted to!!!
Thanks everyone! That’s what I’m figuring that if it was bad news she wouldn’t wait two weeks to tell me...I may call her Anywya just to say hey what’s up because it’s goinf to be longer between my appts due to our conflicting vacations! Lol
I just found out that my husband is NOT a carrier for cystic fibrosis! So very excited!! We've known I carry the gene, and didn't get him tested prior to DD. My new OB offers the tests for DH's for free when wife is a carrier. He was reluctant to get tested, but now I'm so relieved!!
Just got our results back- low risk and it’s a boy! My husband will be thrilled and one of my girls is excited- the other is bull... she really wanted another sister!

My daughter took awhile to come around - she already has one little brother - but now she's super excited!
Already had the results from my dr, but the company emailed me say they’re posted on their site now. The world is pressuring me to look and not stay team green!!!
@dcaron10 my niece who is now 7 was the first girl born in BILs side of the family since before the civil war. When BILs mom found out, it was like they had announced they were having the next queen of England. She went shopping crazy, it was hysterical esp. since my niece was also the first grandchild on both sides.
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
@smallbutmighty77 oh wow! That’s way longer than my MIL has been waiting lol. But I’m sure she will be the same way when it comes to buying or in her case making clothes for her
Lurking bc we didn’t do any genetic testing (but I’m still nosy AF and want to know if you’re having boys or girls)
@bananster1 the only scary think about boy diapers (other than the wild peeing, but just toss a wipe over the ween and you’ll be fine) is the first time they have a little baby erection. I screamed and made my husband change that diaper. I’ve gotten used to it now, but the first time was jarring lol
So in full disclosure I haven’t read through the previous entries on this thread, was waiting to catch up on this one till my results were back. I’ve briefly skimmed and didn’t notice much bad news so not sure if it’s the appropriate place to share.
We got a pretty terrible call for our OB tonight that materniT21 came up positive for Trisomy 13, which she described as incompatible with life. I’m total shock, disbelief. We’re supposed to call first thing to schedule immediate CVS. I asked if she’d ever seen a false positive and she basically said no, so we’re not feeling very hopeful. Curious if anyone else has been through this and what a CVS is like.
@ssag I’m so sorry.. that’s a very tough diagnosis. A close friend of mine lost her daughter around 16w to T13 earlier this year. I’ll be thinking about you guys, please keep us posted.

I don't have any experience with CVS, but I'm hoping for the best for you and your little one.
