Let's hope our babies keep growing and we see them in a few more months!
Liam James was born July 26 (at 26 weeks 3 days gestation) at 7:55pm weighing 1lb and 1 oz and 10.25in. We have a long NICU journey ahead of us but I'm very optimistic. He's such a strong boy. Pic below (I know it can be hard for some people to see)
Sorry I'm sparse in details - public forum and all. D was born yesterday at 33w exactly. So I didn't make it as long as I hoped, but some. Started contracting about 230 and it went fast. She was born via c-section at 420, definitely breech and had already gotten her foot through my cervix. She's doing great! Big for gestation at 4 lbs exactly and 17 inches. She is breathing on her own, regulating temp, and sucking a pacifier. They don't expect the sucking/swallowing/breathing instinct until starting at 34w, so she does have an iv for nutrition right now. But she's doing amazing! She's absolutely gorgeous!
Our little Superman, Clayton, was born yesterday at 34 weeks exactly. We were monitoring his heart rate for several weeks after detecting an arrhythmia, and yesterday at our regular OB appointment, his heart rate was detected at about 80bpm.
Docs made the decision to do an emergency c-section, and our sweet boy was born at 7:14pm, 9/10/18. He weighs 5lbs 6oz, 18in long.
Still in the NICU for heart and lung monitoring. Haven’t been able to hold him yet, and I’m losing my mind over it. Otherwise he’s strong and we’re hopeful for a quick road to 100%.
Adding one adding one more peanut to the pack! Maisie Gladys made her appearance today (in an unseasonable snowfall)! She’s 6lbs even at 35+5, so far needing no NICU time. My waters broke while we were out to supper yesterday, so I was induced. I wasn’t progressing even with the pitocin, so I ended up getting an epidural and then went from 4cm to baby in less than 2 hours! After delivery I PPH’d and then passed out in the shower (naked, on one of my favourite co-workers ) Everything has settled now, Maisie has been nursing well, and we’re hoping to go home tomorrow! The kids we’re super exited to get a sister! Team Green --> Pink!
Andrew George was born on 9/18/18 at 3:26 pm, 6 lbs 12 oz and 20.75” at birth. I was induced at 36w5d due to fetal distress. It turns out his cord was wrapped around his neck twice which caused the distress. We’ve had some issues with blood sugar and he’s currently under the bili lights for jaundice, but hopefully we’ll get to take him home soon!
Just after 8:30 this morning we rolled into the operating room for our C-section! I haven't gotten exact times or their lengths but Sawyer Annette (right) came out first weighing 6lbs 13oz. She was put on oxygen and is already off and doing great. She was followed by a screaming Theodore James (left) who weighs 7lbs 4oz!! They both are doing great and latched really well and they both have hair!!! Dad is doing phenomenal at helping me and getting babies adjusted on me. I'm doing well, tired and looking forward to feeling my legs, not so much the rest of my lower half which is starting to come back. But we are so in love with our babies!!
Cecilia Rose was born at 4:10 PM at 39+1. She is 9lbs 1oz and 21.5 inches long (Same length and 1oz smaller than big brother).
Woke up in labor at 4:30. Got to the hospital around 9:30. Epidural at noon. Fully dilated shortly after so just chilled and waited for water to break. Came to check me about 2:30 and my water had broke so they said it was baby time. Then the doc had an emergency C and another baby who was coming. So I ended up relaxing until 4. Doc came back at 4, 12 pushes and she was out.
Weston Price is here! Born 9/27/18 at 10:49 am. He was 7 lbs 10 oz and 22” long. I was 38+4.
Starting having cramps/contractions at 3:00 am. By 4:00 am they were coming frequently and strong so we headed to the hospital. I was at a 6 in triage and asked for the epidural as soon as we got in our room. Progressed to a 9 within an hour or so. Stayed there for a couple hours then finally got to a 10. Pushed through 3-4 contractions and our little man came out (face up). Another successful VBAC.
Baby is perfect and big bro and big sis are so excited!
Okay, okay, okay! I feel rested enough to write this now!
Thursday morning I had my OB appointment and my doctor must have engaged the labor process by stretching my cervix. By lunchtime I was having early labor contractions and went to triage around 3pm. We were sent home at 5 to labor at home more and by 11, we were back on the road to triage!
After being admitted, I was given morphine to “take the edge off” of my contractions, which is basically bullshit, but appreciated nonetheless. My water broke around 2, and finally my glorious epidural was placed by 3:30 and I slept until it was go time!
My doctor came in at the very end of her shift and told me to push, which I did with fervor and got little Arlo out in 20 minutes at 8:42 Friday morning! He weighed in at a perfect 7lbs and measures 19.5 inches. Dude is feeding well and pooping like an absolute champ (takes after his daddy in virtually every way).
Sophie Elizabeth came loudly into the world at 3:23 this morning (Oct 1st)! I started to have contractions at around 9:30 pm, decicided they were for realz around 10:30. Woke up DH and we started to get ready to go to the hospital at 11. Contractions made me poop a ton and I took a shower. We dropped DD off at the in laws where she had an epic melt down cause mommy and daddy woke her up in the middle of the night and left her. We got to the hospital around 1 at 4cm. I yelled for an epidural like 15 times, finally got it and got told to get some rest. I was GBS positive so they told me they wouldn’t break my water for at least the 4 hours. At around 3am my water broke and they told me it was time to push. 20 mins later she was out! I didn’t make it the 4 hours so they’re watching her temp close to make sure there’s no infection.
Malcolm Isaac was born at 3:47pm today, he weighs 8lbs and 3oz and is 20in long. I'd been in the early stages of labor since 3pm the day before and by 9pm I couldn't talk through my contractions. I started dilating and worked through my contractions until I was 7cm dilated, before asking for an epidural, which had to be done twice as the first time it failed. By 9am it's fully dilated but my water wouldn't break so the doctor came in and broke my water. By the time I was ready to push my epidural was empty and needed replaced, but the one to replace it didn't bleed the line so I had zero pain relief as my beautiful son was born. Moments after he was born he was sat on my chest but then taken to be cleaned. Last thing I heard before passing out was he needed to go to the nursery for a gasp he seemed to have. When I finally woke I was told that he had pneumothorax and was being transferred to a better hospital for treatment. I got to see him right before they took him. So now I'm in one hospital tonight and he's in another. They hope I'll be in a good enough condition tomorrow to release me so I can go to him. The picture is one my sister sent of him sleeping since she went to stay with him at the hospital tonight since I can't.
George Owen Fowler entered the world and joined our little family on October 2, 2018 at 8:32 am, weighing 7 lbs 1 oz., 20 inches long. Born at 39+2. George is so loved already!💙
Jack entered the world at 40 weeks at 8.11lbs and 21 inches long on Friday the 5th at 6:58pm after an elective induction. I got the epidural so I didnt feel any pain in the beginning but as I was close to the end I could partially feel the contractions and bad hip pain and pushing the button didnt help so I partially was in pain. The whole labor I felt I was going to vomit and after I felt that way for a couple hours. My boyfriend caught the baby as we requested. I could walk around a lot earlier this time, but recovery is tough. No tears again even with a baby thats almost a pound bigger than my son. I got another hairy chunky monkey with the same head full of hair and DS1. Goodluck everyone! I cant wait to get home.
We welcomed Josiah Craig Lambert into the world born at 39+2 on Friday 5th Oct at 7:24am weighing 6lb 10oz by a very quick water birth that just lasted 24 minutes from entering into the tub!
My contractions started at 1:18am starting 1 every 10 mins lasting just under a minute which were first manageable but quickly increased to 1 every 4 mins once I called Triage and increased in pain making it hard to talk through them.
Once I was admitted into the day assessment room at around 5:00am I measured 3-4cm dilated and continued breathing through my contractions without pain relief until the birthing pool was ready which I went into just before 7:00am and was given gas and air as previously requested.
The contractions became VERY intense very quickly once I emerged into the pool and within a few pushes our baby boy was here!
Sam was born on 10/10 after a very quick induction - start to finish was just a bit over 5 hours! He came a few weeks early due to my elevated blood pressure, but he did great, I’m doing better, and we’re all home and doing well!
Clark was born on Oct 11 after being induced for low platelet count. It took 12 hours and everything went well and we can't believe this little guy!
The labor and delivery were extremely intense and after a few hours of back to back contractions I went ahead and got the epidural and even though I was trying to go without it, it was the best decision I made.
After it all I'm just overwhelmed by how much I love this little guy and it's hard to wrap our minds around the fact that he's ours!
On October 11th I went to triage because I felt a decrease in my sons movement. There I found out my son Aiden passed away in my tummy just 3 days before his due date. He was so beautiful! He was 6 llbs 7 oz , 20 inches long. They are still doing testing on the placenta so I don’t know what exactly went wrong but I wanted to share his birth and our story with you all. I’ll love you forever Aiden 🐘👼🏾💕
@ashantileetv I'm so so sorry for your loss. I hope the picture you shared is one of many you now have to help remember and cherish your sweet boy Aiden.
@ashantileetv I am so so sorry to hear about your loss. I will be praying for you in the days and weeks ahead. Please take care of yourself during this time!
