I went in for my routine appointment today, and they are keeping me due to my bp being elevated.  

I blame Trump.  (I can do that right?). Otherwise, I am sitting here crying for no good reason.

@mamabearcj - yes.  Apparently they have some special advanced triage kind of unit to monitor moms and babies.  She didn’t say how long I would be here, but apparently several hours.

Oh no @knottieamusements!  Hope your bp comes down and they let you go soon. I’m sure the stress of staying there isn’t helping it to go down quickly. Keep us posted.

@knottieamusements I had that happen a few times with DS. I was usually there a couple of hours until i came back down and baby was acting normal. Hopefully that happens fast for you!

@knottieamusements Oh man, that sucks. They used to keep me in triage for a couple hours when my BP would get too low. Sucks but they would monitor Z so I’d get to hear his heartbeat the whole time. Do they have you on the monitor?

WTF to the dental assistant who’s helping us out today. He’s a dentist in his home country, so he’s tearing through the office to get things organized for doc. That’s fine and super helpful, but he keeps asking me questions and I keep telling him I don’t know and to ask the doctor for whatever he’s looking for or how she wants things. The hygienist and receptionist said he has a thing for me and I think they’re right. Every time I look up, he’s watching me! I’m a whale and I keep talking about my husband and children. WTF dude?!

My WTF is to life right now. My sitter has been having horrible hip pain and she went to see a specialist who brushed her off a few months ago. She got a second opinion on Tuesday and it’s been the worst news I still can’t stop crying. She might have bone cancer and if she does she plans to refuse anything but surgery. So no chemo or anything. She’s beat both breast and stomach cancer before so this is not her first rodeo. She’s a surprisingly busy 60 year old who has 8 kids all but 3 adopted and did foster care. She is pretty much my daughters grandmother and she honestly watches the kids because she loves them. I can’t imagine my daughters life without her, it’s killing me. She goes in for more tests soon but she’s already been referred to an oncologist and her results were reviewed by 3 Drs. I can’t afford a different daycare with twins coming and I haven’t put my name on any waiting lists (and they are more than 10-18 months long on wait time). I don’t even know what to do. I know this is odd placement for this but I don’t know where else to comment and I need to vent.

WTF to DD. Her and I are going on a road trip to Michigan in the morning to see all my family. I’ve been looking forward to going for weeks and can’t wait to get there. Well we were playing on the floor and she just comes up and vomits all over me. She never gets sick so this is so out of the ordinary for her. Now I’m just keeping an eye on her and hoping it was a fluke, but I’m going to be so pissed if she is actually sick and I have to cancel our trip! 

ETA - I’m so sorry to hear this @ninji15. I’ll be keeping her in my thoughts.

im on vacay. The doctor is leaving the practice and now they can’t get me in until the end of October so I have get someone else to
monit my thyroid.

WTF bills and paper work, you took up my whole day.

We're pretty PO'ed at the girl who pet/house sat for us last weekend. We usually use a girl who is really good and really cleans up after herself and takes care of everything. But she was out of town the same time we were. So we struggled with trying to find someone we know to do it. Finally remembered a girl, so we set it up. She charged us more than our regular girl. And when we got home, it looked like the litter hadn't been scooped in days, and it was all over the place in the bathroom. She didn't even attempt to remake the bed (granted I will wash everything, but still, pull the sheets back up). She left her water cups in the bathroom. We taught her how to run the swamp cooler, but I'm not sure that she did, which means the animals were probably hot the whole time. There was cat puke in one of the bathrooms, not sure if it happened after she left the final time, but I feel like it was longer. Which I know is minor compared to some of your guys' experiences, but I think we're just spoiled by our regular girl. Also, the animals acted kind of weird when we got back, which leads us to believe that maybe she wasn't there as much as she was supposed to be. 

Luckily we just know for next time not to use her. But we're just still really annoyed at the whole situation. We should've known better.

I just got a call from my midwife that they still haven’t received my Glucose test results! Wtf...it was more than 2 weeks ago. I will be so pissed if I have to do it again. Appointment is tomorrow so we will see...

WTF to the whopping cough/tetanus booster I was booked in for today that I couldn’t get because they said I had to be 28 weeks. Also, WTF to insurance who wouldn’t put through my compression socks claim because the referral was from my midwife and not my doctor. 

on the upside, I had my first prenatal massage and I’m booked in for Pelvic floor physio on Friday.

@krzyriver The other day when we were at the mall, I was chilling hanging out at a kiosk that had these gorgeous lighted photo crystals while DF was in the bathroom. As I'm admiring the crystals, asking the lady about them I see a man exit the bathrooms and look up, catching sight of me. He then bee-lines to the kiosk, staring at me the whole way and for the next 6 or 7 minutes just slowly walks around the kiosk, looking up at me every few seconds. When DF came back from the bathroom and joined me at the kiosk, I said "these are so cool. I want one for our wedding photos after the wedding." And the dude just vanished into thin air. 
I didn't point it out to DF but I snickered to myself the rest of the day. Like dude, what do you see in a 7-months-pregnant person with a pronounced waddle, who's huffing and puffing just walking around a 3 foot wide mall kiosk?!

My WTF is at myself. I dozed off on the couch as soon as DF left for work and didn't try to stop myself because I was planning on a quick nap. Welp I woke up drooling all over the place 4.5 hours later! It's now past ODD's bed time and she hasn't even had dinner yet. And she has to be up by 7:30 tomorrow morning to get to her day camp on time. FML.

WTF to people who don’t wash their hands in the bathroom, particularly when there are other people in the restroom!  I mean, I can see you there! I see that you didn’t wash your hands and just walked out...

I'm one of those people BUT I carry hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes in my diaper bag for that reason. I'm allergic to a few types of soap that they commonly use in public restrooms and there's no way of knowing which dispensers have the ones I'm allergic to and which don't. So I wipe my hands and use sanitizer before leaving the bathroom. I'm always afraid people are judging me for not washing my hands lol

@krzyriver No joke, I actually had a man with a pregnancy fetish message me when I was pregnant with ODD. He was totally willing to buy me new clothes and a new phone and pay some of my bills if I was willing to send him videos of me pretending to give birth in my bath tub. It was and remains the strangest encounter I've ever had with another human being.
