@activebaby Glad you had a great AS! @ab_canada That is such good news it's so small!
AFM the anatomy scan went great! Baby boy was measuring a day ahead, which was so reassuring to me, since I've been worried that he's going to end up small since I've been throwing up so much, but apparently he's perfectly on target and then a little bit! I just have a follow up with my OB later today (I am high risk so my AS is at a high risk specialist's office, so I need to go over the results in detail with my OB, but as the high risk doctor said, there won't be any surprises, baby is looking awesome!) They will discuss whether or not they want me to come back for a 32 week specialist level ultrasound (due to my thyroid autoimmune disease, just to be safe) or just a regular one. I will find out later today I guess, but all is well!
@echo-charlietango@lexidawg@katy0990@maureenmce Thanks ladies! I feel relieved. I now just need to decide if I want to do an amnio. We don't have cleft on either side of the family and everything else looks normal, so chances are the amnio will not show any related conditions. So I'm wondering if it will just be a source of extra worry that I don't need right now.. we will meet with the genetics team in a couple of weeks and see what they have to say.
@ab_canada glad for the positive news! You never know how scary having a baby is until you are pregnant or trying to conceive! @maureenmce glad you had a good ultrasound too!
@texas_t Is your appointment first thing? If so, will you eat anything before doing it? With DD, idr what, but I ate something small (probably a banana with toast) and barely failed. Then I had to do the three-hour And that was complete misery for me.
@hoosiermama-2 My appointment was first thing last time and I didn't eat anything and barely failed. The 3 hour was awful but I passed every portion. This time my 1 hour is first thing again. I'm undecided whether to eat anything. I've heard some places say you can have something like sausage or eggs, but nothing carby. I'll prolly just eat nothing again because I take thyroid meds right when I wake up and can't eat or drink for an hour after I take it. Guess we'll seeeeee
Back from my early anatomy scan. Baby boy looks great. Measuring right on time. No concerns. My placenta is sitting right on top of my cervix so I am back on pelvic rest. Doc said that it usually moves up but we will have to watch. Full AS on August 13th.
Had my appointment yesterday. I'm 17+6 today. We found the heartbeat right away but kept losing it. Apparently baby girl was having a dance party in there and kept moving around. The midwife had been surprised that I was feeling little things already as a FTM, but I guess the dance party proves that she's active lol. My uterus is right where she'd expect it to be at this point, so all is good. I'm waiting for a call from the ultrasound place to schedule that. The midwife instructed me to schedule it for at least 2 weeks out, so that I'm at least 20 weeks by the time I have the ultrasound.
@lexidawg Bummer about the pelvic rest. Hopefully it gets lifted at your next appointment.
My anatomy scan went just fine this morning. It took 2.5 hours of waiting around to get the scan and see my dr., but it was good to hear that everything is going well. It was tempting to ask the sex, but we stayed strong!
@texas_t They are usually running behind. Most appointments I am there at least an hour and a half. They also weren't able to schedule the scan and the dr follow-up back to back, so we had the scan scheduled for 9:30 and the appointment for 10:45. We didn't get the scan until 10:00 and the appointment until 11:30 though. We knew there would be a wait in between and went and got a cup of coffee.
Best case of baby brain ever! I thought my ultrasound was the 27th. I made arrangements for my son, put it in my personal calendar, and scheduled time off at work for the 27th. I got a call from the hospital to remind me of my ultrasound tomorrow. Guess I better rearrange some things!
