I’m thankful my cat finally pooped (solid and in her litter box) yesterday. I hadn’t seen anything since Sunday.
I’m thankful that my dog’s poops are also finally solid and of normal size & texture. (They get weirdly small and hard after diarrhea before they get normal.)
I think things may be settling down for them both.
I’m so, so thankful for H. I slept like shit last night. He rushed home from walking the dog when I texted him DD2 was up early so he could get her, and then handled her, DD1 and the dog, who puked twice. I came downstairs to find the house spotless, and the girls having already eaten breakfast and watching a cartoon calmly and happily. Then he went to work, whereas I might actually get a nap today once our part time nanny gets here. He is the unicorn of husbands.
@knottieamusements solid dog poops are one of life's little pleasures. Everytime our dog gets sick, it's such a relief to see something solid that you could actually pick up.
I'm thankful for a nice birthday with my guys. Also that my pup seems to be doing so much better lately. The real test will be once he's off the antibiotics and the temporary allergy meds. Also that it's Thursday and that means it's almost the weekend.
Gonna sound like a big hormonal mess, but I am so thankful that I am pregnant. I watched a documentary last night on IVF and I was crying so hard at parts of it. So many people can't afford IVF, or IVF doesn't work even after 4 or 5 tries and while so many people would think of my struggles as unlucky, I feel so incredibly lucky. We could afford it without much financial impact on our lives and while it took 2 tries, it worked. And I am carrying a healthy baby. And I am so incredibly thankful for him. And I am thankful for my husband for going through it with me since If causes a number of marital issues and can cause divorce in a lot of cases, and he was/is such a champ.
I’m thankful for my mom (again!). She’s been helping out a lot since I’ve been put off work. And she let me have a 3 hour nap the other day while she took the kids to the park. Also DH finally got our two crappy small vanities out of our master bath, and replaces it with a nice double vanity that actually has a big counter top and storage space underneath. I have a place to put things!!
1- I passed my glucose test!!! Or at least i am assuming i did since my results online were within the reference range and Dr. google's range. 2- Our air conditioning was finally fixed today... I'm with you @jandmnumber1, can't wait to go home to a cool house!
I'm thankful for DH being my rock yesterday as I was having a mini melt down even though he's dealing with his own stress. He always knows how to calm me down.
I’m checking in from Amalfi, and trying hard to live in the moment and enjoy the rest of our Babymoon instead of thinking about returning to work on Monday. I’m thankful for having almost two weeks off work, fully disconnected, it has been amazing. Americans *really* need to embrace the concept of “holiday” like the rest of the Western world and truly take time off every year to relax, explore, and recharge.
I'm thankful that with all the fans going and the windows open tonight, the thermostat says it's only 78 degrees! That's the coolest it's been in here in 2 weeks!
I'm also super thankful that my fella has been such a big support for my business. We had an event Sunday, he's in Florida for a long weekend to be in a friend's wedding (I declined the invite, because it's someone I've only met once, and pregnant + Florida + July = no), he gets back super late Sunday, goes to work Monday, then we fly out super early Tuesday for a monster 5-day event in Idaho. I've been more stressed than usual, but he's been great about gently reminding me of things that need to get done or organized before we leave, and I'm so grateful that he's not only willing, but excited to sit at a table for five days, selling my photos and generally telling people that his wife is the greatest. I've worked jobs for a long time that have been personally fulfilling, but didn't pay a livable wage, so I was always working 2-3 jobs at once in order to do something that I loved. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm doing something that takes what I'm good at doing and puts it to good use, and it might actually be sustainable.

She's a saint.
