Do you have a bulletin board anywhere? Maybe you could post an ultrasound pic with the caption guess who my mom is?
my coworker is due 2 weeks before me and that’s how she wants to tell the office (both of us at the same time)....I’m not sure it’s for me but it’s a cute idea

@mamakate1616 That seems like it could get dangerous. I don’t know how many women are in your office, but if there have been any losses, that might be a trigger/hurtful if people guess/ask person (x) who had loss or struggles. Or if people may just be carrying a little extra weight...I would be careful with that.

@distractedbyshinyobjects those are totally valid points but it wouldn’t be an issue in my office. My building is very male dominated and there are only 10 people in my suite and 4 are females, 1 is in her 60s and 1 has repeatedly and boldly stated she will not be having additional children, and all the men have kids close to my age. It would be obvious that I am one of the moms and the other would be a surprise because she’s a bit older but the process of elimination would be fast. Ironically we are the people in the office who have had losses (this is the 3rd time we have been pregnant “together” in the last 2 years and we both lost the two prior pregnancies), and incidentally I am the only chunky person who could possibly be mistaken for preggo 
I’m personally a fan of the donut approach but I don’t like attention and plan to apply for a promotion within my command “soon” so I don’t really want the news out there yet.

Omg that’s crazy well I’m glad you have each other! Hopefully she’ll be on board to support you if you’re wanting to keep it a secret a bit longer.

@mamakate1616 I’m the same way, I don’t like attention, but I also don’t want to go around as I see everyone saying “I’m pregnant btw” especially since my entire department is old men. I might do some kind of food just as a distraction. Like “I'm pregnant, look muffins!”
