  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    25w, papaya I think

    2. How are you feeling?

    good today!

    3. Any appointments this week?

    nope

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

Nope. Life has evened out a bit, and we have a couple months of normal to look forward to!  Thinking if I chug through 1-2 things on my Isaac to-do list a week I’ll be in good shape come fall.

    5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?

I’d have to actually look things up to know this. Hawaii, Prague, or Rome are my three most likely though.

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
27 - last week of 2nd trimester! App says lettuce?

    2. How are you feeling?

Pretty good. Starting to fell 1st trimester tired all over again, and belly is starting to get it the way of things. Overall, can’t complain!

    3. Any appointments this week?

Friday! I have an ultrasound (hopefully my placenta has moved so no c section, but as long as baby is healthy I don’t really care how she comes out) & my glucose test is also the same day... not excited about that.

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

Meeting daycares this week - what do I need to ask? Is there a thread for this? I couldn’t find one.

    5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?

Not very far, Cancun is probably the farthest. Would love to go overseas someday though!

  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

    28 weeks, eggplant

    2. How are you feeling?

Overall pretty good. I’m starting to notice I’m more tired and get winded easily.

    3. Any appointments this week?

Friday I have my regular OB.

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

My husband and son are cranky. I’m tired and have no patience for it and I’m so emotionally drained from the relationship mess my bff is in. I ranted about it last week, but I’m so over it and his behavior. He has mental health issues that need to be addressed, addiction issues that need to be addressed and his family is tiptoeing around it all like they have for his entire life.

    5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?

Not very far. I’ve lived in Maryland my whole life. The farthest north I’ve been is Maine, farthest south Florida and farthest west Colorado.

  • @knottieamusements thank you! I had no idea these places fill up so fast or I would have paid more attention back when the post was started (clearly FTM here) I called one and could not believe they were full through July of next year.
  • @lolo_0924 - Yeah, the is apparently not uncommon.  I was super annoyed because one of the places I was looking at had a six week waiting list just to tour, but the offered to go ahead and put me on the waiting list.  When I got there, I discovered that they hadn’t even done that!
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
    28w eggplant

    2. How are you feeling?

Good. also get winded walking up my stairs lol

    3. Any appointments this week?

    Nope, glucose next week

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

Damn twitching eye, am I stressed?! lol we close on our house the end of this month and have no place to live yet.. good times going into my 3rd trimester.

    5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?

I think Cambodia. I am too lazy to look it up, that or the Maldives.

    26 weeks, Kale

    2. How are you feeling? Good but am a bit more moody and lose my patience

    3. Any appointments this week?

Yes, One on Friday Glucose test.

    4. Rants/raves/questions?  My teenage daughter is driving me crazy with her vegetarianism.   I wish she would just eat what I fix and be done with it. Instead she is complicating it where I need to make special dishes for her. She is at the point where she doesn't even want to pick around the meat. Come on kid! When we die it isn't like we will get EXTRA Jesus points for being vegetarian! Eat the stupid steak and shut up. RANT OVER

** I have nothing against vegetarians but get frustrated with my 13 year old. I was raised to eat what mom cooks so...

    5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?  Alaska & India

  • @bundleofjoy3iluvu lord help me if my kid is vegetarian LOL we r such meat and potato people.

    Props to you Mama.
  • @bundleofjoy2iluvu i feel you, but for what it's worth i second @sammierose464. Our ten year old son has been vegetarian for close to a year now. we honestly thought it would be a short-lived phase, but let him go with it on the condition that he did the research himself into what he needed for a healthy vegetarian diet and that he helped with meal planning/cooking. i do make more vegetarian-friendly meals, but between our older two boys they cook at least three times a week.
it also helped that his doctor is very no-nonsense and told him at his checkup (shortly after he switched) that he can't be lazy about it (in those words) and that it would require extra work so that should be on him not us. This was all unprompted, but reason #435 that we love their dr.  ;)
  • 1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

My cousin welcomed her bundle of joy over the weekend. He decided he wanted to come early at 30 weeks! He’s healthy and everyone is happy. Just learned today my friend is being induced on Thursday! I’m so excited for them. Now I cannot wait to meet my little girl <3

    5. GTKY: Where is the farthest you've ever traveled from home?

Not very far, I’ve only traveled within the U.S. My sister lived in Texas and it was about 1,400 miles from home where she lived.

    2. How are you feeling?

Good- more anxiety than lately though. There has been some really triggering things happen in my community lately that has made me shut down. I think it makes DH worry about postpartum anxiety already which I’m not ready to deal with.

However- vacation to south Florida is hours away!!

    3. Any appointments this week?

Nope! The week we get back from our trip I have my 30 week appointment and I’m actually interviewing a new OB about the possibility of a VBA2C

    4. Rants/raves/questions?

  • @Gizmo1231 hugs. Have you seen your psychiatrist about the uptick in anxiety lately?

  • @alexa_94 I love this wedge pillow I got about a month ago, really helped me sleep. hiccapop Pregnancy Pillow Wedge for... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KG84CLI?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
  • @DunkinDecaf no. Not yet. My PCP actually prescribed my medicine (before pregnancy). I promised DH to call if after this vacation and mental break if it doesn’t get better. I highly anticipate medication for PPA once babe arrives

  • @Gizmo1231 I would suggest finding a mental health specialist sooner rather than later. My psychiatrist says being properly medicated in the third trimester can significantly decrease your chances of postpartum issues. Also, it can take a couple tries to find someone who’s a good fit and if you do wind up with postpartum anxiety it would save you so much important time to already have a provider you’re comfortable with. All of that being said, I’m definitely still anticipating some PPD/PPA issues too. Always here if you want to talk <3
