  • You're really going to see what the ultrasound shows. If you aren't tracking your basal body temperature, there's no way to know for sure if you actually ovulated in May, therefore you don't know if that 7 day bleed was a true menstruation. The fact that you described it as "lighter" makes me wonder if it was bleeding associated with ovulation, not a true period.

On the other hand June 29 isn't too soon to get a positive if you conceived around June 16. It's really just a wait and see at this point.

  • I got pregnant from sex on June 14 and had a positive pregnancy test on June 24. I have been charting for years, so I feel pretty confident in my dates. Your June 16 scenario seems much more likely to me. Congratulations!
  • If it helps my LMP was 5/31 we BD 6/10, 6/14, & 6/17. It only takes one time to get pregnant. I’m sure it was the 6/16 that you got pregnant and if so you are about 6 weeks pregnant. But of course definitely get to the doctor to see what they say. Congrats!!

You got pregnant during that June 16 session. Implantation takes btwn 6-12 days from the date of ovulation (which is what triggers the body to create the hCG hormone, and not shed the uterine lining that month). Based on your dates, it's likely you ovulated on the later side of normal, and have a shorter luteal phase. Do a quick Google search on the reproductive cycle and it'll probably make more sense. Congrats!
  • I went to the doctor a little early and turns out I am 5 weeks 7 days. So yes I did get pregnant in May!

This link may help you understand your body a bit better. Your last period started probably in May but you got pregnant during ovulation which was during June. Pregnancy weeks do start counting before ovulation at the first day of your last period however which is what may be leading you to think you "got pregnant in May". But if you are trying to pinpoint what day you did the deed that resulted in baby, you need to look at the days that were about 4 weeks from today.

Edited because I reread your post. You conceived on the June16th date. You can get a positive pregnancy test as early as about 9 days after you ovulated (I did!). So to answer your original question, June 16 is your winner.
  • PPs are correct. Please read a book or google and learn how your cycle works and how pregnancy is calculated. The first day of your pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last menstrual cycle because that's an easy and always-known quantity. Many women (I'd say most) don't track ovulation. It would make a lot more sense if pregnancy was calculated based on two weeks after the first day of your last cycle.

Technically, based on when you actually have a fertilized egg/baby inside you, pregnancy is only 38 weeks long.
  • Whatevs, she’s quoted. Smh.
