At least I’m not the only one! My nipples weren’t sensitive at all until I got them pierced. Then it was amazing. Now I seriously can’t stand to have them touched! At all. I’ve been worried about BFing because of it too. Hopefully it’ll go away!
Full disclosure: if my nipple gets stimulated in foreplay/sex/whatever, a nerve in a tooth on my bottom jaw hurts or is super twingey-not-in-a-good-way. It's so weird.
Me too! Because of that i won't let DH go after them for long. They also aren't super sensitive overall, other than that feeling so I'm not a huge fan of nipple stimulation.
I burned my nipples in the shower as a teenager (because why check the water temp before getting in, dumbass girl) and they have some scaring and get super sensitive. I hated anybody touching them, but nursing my boys was never a problem.
@knottieamusements Our go-to is John Rosemond. A lot of people don’t like him (conservatives call him too liberal, liberals say he’s too conservative and psychologists hate him because he says most of the childhood mental illnesses are made up to explain normal childhood behavior and there is actually nothing wrong with the child - he does back his statements up, it’s not just him talking), but he tells it like he sees it. I especially love that he says parents are the only experts on their child and no parent should do everything a parenting “expert” says because not everything will work for you/your family.
@sliztee@sammierose464 I thought I was the only one too! It is the weirdest feeling! And it turns me off from nipple stimulation! I am glad that DH isn’t a boob guy.
I have no idea if this is the same kind of thing or not, but when my husband or I play with my belly button, I get nauseous feeling. This has been going on forever, not just a pregnancy thing. It's weird.
Re: sensitive nipples, I never had particularly sensitive ones before pregnancy, but when I was BFing DS, they seemed to get super sensitive. Basically for the whole time I was BFing, they were off limits to DH (and I wore my nursing bra during sex even), because if he touched them to stimulate them, I would end up leaking milk all over the place! Not exactly sexy!
No sensitive nipples here either. Before getting pregnant, piercing them, notta.. DH likes playing with them from time to time but it's more for his enjoyment, doesn't do anything for me. My belly button doesn't really feel much either I guess and for some reason DH LOVES playing with that.. before I took the piercing out he'd play with it all the damn time, mostly absentmindedly.. now that it's super flat he likes to touch it cuz it looks weird, it tingles less now then when it was a regular deep belly button.
@pumpkinpancake The only time I leaked milk was in the shower or during sex. The first time it happened I was like “what did we do? Why is there a wet spot over here?” And then I realized it was milk.
My bellybutton used to be super sensitive. It hurt if anybody touched it. After my first pregnancy it got stretched out and wasn’t as deep and it definitely wasn’t as sensitive.
@mamabearcj yes, my H always played with my belly button ring and it was just too weird and made me nauseous. Now he's touching it because it's flat and shallow and he thinks its funny. But it's the same feelings.
DH would play with my naval ring and I had to tell him to stop. But partly because it made me think of his ex who I know liked it. It did nothing for me.
