Symptoms 7/4

Re: Symptoms 7/4

  • No LN yet! (26 wks) I’m ok with not getting one because I’m pretty sure it would be bright purple. All the stretch marks I got as a kid we’re purple and any scars are purplish for a long time until they fade.
Speaking of skin tags, I haven’t found any new ones but the ones I had pre pregnancy have gotten bigger. Weird.

  • @SweetSweetTooth ugh yes the extra hair on belly...so lovely  :p
  • Yeah I have a nice peach fuzz all over my belly. Although, i have always had some hair from my PCOS. That has gotten worse...
  • @chyvie I have no idea. I would imagine that it’s like any other medicine, it’s a nice bandaid, but you need to address the root cause. They give it to babies so it can’t be all that bad though.

Ftm I didnt notice I had LN until my last appt when my dr. Pointed it out under the lights. I think at 24w. It's so faint I still barely notice it but it goes from the top of my belly button up to the top of the bump. Idk about the bottom, cant see that. No skin tags here, or much extra hair, it just grows in faster.
  • @sammierose464 ugh yes. Pcos here too. I feel like a gorilla.

Oh the belly hair...I'm getting a bit hairier there and between the boobs. I actually shaved my belly hair a few weeks ago because it was looking like I had a LN already and I wanted to see, but nope, was just darker belly hair haha. But, I think mine is starting to very faintly show up at 26w.

Also have alllll the peach fuzz on my face. Definitely noticed more when I was getting my makeup done last weekend.
  • Late to the party here. I have matching skin tags in my armpits. I just noticed them today so they must be new. They’re small and in the exact same spot on each side.  I really hope they go away like somebody else said.

I didn’t get LN last pregnancy at all and don’t have it this time either. Kind of hoping I don’t get it.

@HoosOnFirst I’m not swollen this time, but definitely was last pregnancy.  It was so swollen that the on call OB commented on it when I was sent to the hospital for monitoring at 36 weeks. Fortunately I’m not this time.

  • Thanks for all the input on the LN guys! I’ll just have to wait and see if I get one. Not hoping for it by any means though. And yes yes yes to the belly hair. Not an attractive pregnancy side effect.
  • I have a faint LN. No stretch marks yet. My boobs have gone up 2 bra sizes and I’m worried about stretch marks there.

Also im craving spicy food constantly but also getting some heart burn. I can’t decide if the heart burn or the unsatisfied craving is worse...
  • @chopchop25 I had something similar happen at work. I was completely fine before, had breakfast etc. And within minutes my hearing went out, started sweating and went pale.

I keep getting what I can only imagine is hot flashes.. but it's mainly in my face. Hits me out of no where and goes away after 30 seconds to a minute. I'll feel so so hot, my cheeks flush, and I get clammy.. its really annoying
  • Anyone who has been having nosebleeds had them up to a few times a week? Some weeks I’ll get 1, but other weeks up to 3. Always the same nostril. More annoying than anything.
  • @rabtaido1214 I’ve been getting nosebleeds for a few weeks. Blood doesn’t actually gush out but I see it when I blow my nose.
  • I have them quite frequently. It comes and goes, but the worse my allergies are the worse the nosebleeds are.

I've only had a gusher once and a few weeks later I felt it coming and sniffed it to keep it from dripping but that's been it so far and it was last month.
@rabtaido1214 has it been really dry where you are?? I think that had something to do with mine
  • @mamabearcj I’m in MA so it’s been kind of humid, especially last week. Not so bad the last few days though.
  • Same here, blood when I blow my nose. Never happened before pregnancy.

  • Glad I’m not alone. Today’s was especially heavy compared to other times. Happened when I was driving home and I could taste the blood in my throat. Managed to drop blood on my shirt :( probably ruined. I wasn’t giving it all my effort and attention to stop it, but it took about 5 min once I got home with a tissue stuck up my nose while I tended to the dogs lol. I’m sure it’s fine. Just glad it didn’t happen when I wa stuck in a commuter train without tissues.
  • No LN here. I had one last time, but I read that women who has a boy and got one the first time around often don’t get one if the next baby is a girl. IDK if that was an actual article or a wives tale though. I’m definitely getting more hairy too, although I’m usually hairy, no PCOS here, just genetics.

@rabtaido1214 I often see blood when I blow my nose, it was probably my first symptom back in January.
  • my ribs :'(:'(  For real though, isn’t it too early to be having rib pain? FTM 26wks

Sleeping is awful. I don't know how I'm going to survive the next 12 weeks! I'm limited to only one side due to my surgery. I was sleeping on my back propped up with lots.of pillows but the last three nights have woken up to my hip asleep and in pain. So now I'm only able to sleep on my right side and I hate it. I wake up every two hours and wake up in the morning sore and crabby

  • @rabtaido1214 spray the blood drop with hydrogen peroxide, let it soak til it stops bubbling, rinse off, repeat, then wash. (Check after it's washed, if it's still there, peroxide again. It will all come out)
    Takes blood out of anything!
  • Thanks @jomama1618 and @jennybean80. I actually realized right before I was heading out the door so tossed it in the sink with cold water and miraculously no stain. Never had that kind of luck preventing a stain on anything before. I’ll kee your advice in mind for future use!
