@jynjer91 it's like 70 and cloudy Gotta love summer in the PNW (though it is going to be 95 later this week) I'm not super stressed about it, but wondering if it'd be dumb to ignore some of these symptoms.
@chopchop25 hope it’s nothing serious, but doesn’t hurt to call if it will make you feel better.
The past couple of days, the skin on my belly has gotten super itchy with like random bumpy spots (not enough that I’d call it a rash, but just in certain places that seem to correlate with where my clothes are rubbing). I just want to scratch my belly, but am trying so hard not to!
Doc and nurse think my little incident was something called Vasovagal. Happens outside of pregnancy, but in pregnancy just the baby pressing on a vessel. They aren't worried since it went away quickly and just said to take it easy tonight. Was really hoping for a workout but oh well!
The acid reflux has really hit me the last few days. I don't know if it's something I ate, or just that time. It's not even heartburn, just feels like molten lava coming up my esophagus.
New fun symptom - I seem to have developed oral thrush. How does that even happen! It’s usually something you only get if you are severely immunocompromised (or a newborn). I’m blaming stress, but seriously WTF. Now I get to start a Nystatin mouth wash - Category C but just rinsing and spitting should mean limited absorption...
@sliztee could be. I don’t really know much about PUPPS to know if that’s what it seems like, but at least from a quick google, mine seems much more localized than some of the pictures I’ve found, and the spots come and go. Not sure if it’s just irritation from my clothes, or something more, but hopefully it goes away soon!
It's going to be a long 3 more months at work. I cannot get comfortable at my desk for anything. I try propping my feet up and they get restless. Sitting up straight eventually gets uncomfortable with the bump. Is it bad that I'm kinda hoping to get taken off of work?
It's so hard to get through a work day, but there's 2 girls who are due in roughly a month who are still doing it so I feel like I need to suck it up. I just want a nap mid-day, and the comfort of my couch
I feel as though it's not common to be taken off of work if you have a normal pregnancy, but very hopeful that I'm wrong. Am I wrong? Please say I'm wrong.
@sammierose464 I thought the same thing the other day... I told DH I’m just so over going to work at this point.
@sliztee yeah I think typically if everything is “normal” and going well in your pregnancy, there’s no reason to be taken off work unless you work in a particularly risky job that requires a lot of physical activity.
My mentor at work told me she was moved to reduced hours (she also had identical twins so was higher risk), because of stress. She actually advised me to talk to my doc about this around Sept bc I'm going to have some intense work deadlines and asks in my last month - just bad timing with some massive deliverables, not because I'm going out.
I can't get comfortable in my chair because it's like I can't breathe. If they would just let me work horizontally...in my bed...from home...with my cats...I think we'd all be better off.
If anything I'd like to be told I have to work from home. Of course Dr Google has me worried I'm going to end up with Pre-E or GD... I just feel so off, and its probably more due to being exhausted. But today I was reading a Pre-E article that said right side pain around your ribs is a symptom, which I have had for a few weeks now.
@sammierose464 right sided rib pain can be a symptom of pre-e (it points to liver involvement) but it’s more often just muscle/ligament pain from growing.
That's what I'm hoping @jennybean80. I didn't notice it much last week on vacation, but the week before it felt like it was all bruised. It started up again today. Maybe it's work.
I’m with you all with being done with work. I know it is the horomones, but I am so close to quitting just because I don’t wanna. (Jeez- I sound so freaking whiny!)
Unfortunately- adulting. I will continue to adult.
I'm so much the same. When things are going smoothly at work and I don't have much to do, I'm totally fine. But the second it gets the least bit stressful or just annoying, I'm like "I can't work anymore!!!" and get all bitchy to my husband who works like 10 hours a week, but makes more money in 5 minutes than I do in several days (I'm probably slightly exaggerating, but not much).
I have it all broken down to sections as a countdown to maternity leave. Like we're already basically halfway through July (I round up). I'm about to be off for 3 days. Then all of August, which I have 3 OB appts in August so it'll make it fly by, then labor day in September will give me a day off. Then just a few more weeks until October and who knows what'll happen. My EDD is the 11th but I basically don't count October at all, because regardless of when she comes, I'll be worthless.
Went in for our fetal echo today and baby looks amazing, which is great! Unfortunately my cervix has already began shortening. I’m at 2.8 and should be at 3.5 (I’m at 24+3). My MFM got me onto the schedule to recheck in a week and a half. Praying I stay at 2.8. Thankfully she didn’t put me on bed rest but told me I’m supposed to be a couch potato and not walk, stand or be exposed to the heat when unnecessary. If I get to 2.5 they will talk bed rest and progesterone.
I was totally on the same page... being over work, now that bedrest could be a real thing I’m freaking out a bit. Going to see if boss will let me work from home if it happens but I work from a very anti work from home employer.
@cagncoo12 I’m with you there. Mine’s at 2.2 now and I’m off work (handed in my doctor’s note today). But with my twins I was less than 2cm by 21 weeks and they stayed put until 33+ weeks (not bad for twins). Good luck! I hope your job accommodates you!
I feel like I just cant breathe or get in a deep breath still. And I cant get comfortable no matter what I do, how I sit, lay, recline, it all makes it harder to breathe unless I'm sitting straight up which ismt comfortable either. I also feel like I've been eating less lately, once to twice a day as opposed to snacking all day. I'm just less hungry?
I'm starting to have more issues catching my breath. I find myself taking deep breaths and exhaling loudly often. I also feel like I got really large overnight. I gained like 5lb on my vacation, so that doesn't help Im sure.
I really want this baby to be an Oct baby just because I love October. However, DH and I both say we want him to stay put as long as SS did which was 34 weeks.
FTM question. I’m 28 weeks today. I don’t have a linea nigra. I’m wondering when this usually appears. Any insight from the more knowledgeable FTMs or STMs+?
@rabtaido1214 FTM here as well but I don't have one and I'm 27 weeks tomorrow. I don't think every pregnant women gets it, just depends on hormones and your body.

@rabtaido1214 - 28 weeks today, and I don’t have one. I think that was one of those things that started appearing early in 2nd trimester if it was going to come? Could be wrong.
(As a side note- I’m actually disappointed I didn’t get one. Instead I got skin tags - in all the places, but especially my boobs. )
I know this was like two pages ago, but just a word to the wise on Zantac. After pregnancy when you’re ready to cut it out, do so slowly. Like take a lower dose for a few days, then cut it in half. Otherwise you might end up with terrible heartburn.
^^ good to know! Thanks for looking out for us! I sometimes have terrible heartburn not pregnant so I can imagine it isn't going away anytime soon. Do you know if Zantac long term is bad?

I also got a LN with both pregnancies. Pretty early too, around 20 weeks. Some people get them that go all the way up to top of uterus...some only go up to belly button...some don't get it at all!
FTM no LN yet and 27 weeks. Skin tags in my arm pits but my Dr said they may go away after delivery. Lots of extra hair, especially on my belly and face. Stretch marks. But overall feel good!

Mine took quite some time after birth to go away.
