Not much for me, just a TDAP shot tomorrow. Next MW appointment is in 2 weeks.

Quick MW appt this morning. She did give me something else for heartburn hoping it would help with the continued nausea and vomiting. I go back in 3 weeks for my 28 weeks appt and GD test. They told me I could eat breakfast and drink before the test as long as it wasn’t too sugary.
Regular OB appointment tomorrow. It was supposed to be my last before the move, but my new OB in CA had to reschedule our first appt so I'm hoping to fit one more in before we go to prevent a gap in care. We'll see, as my insurance switched and this OB is now out of network.
I have a follow-up with a NP in endocrinology for gestational diabetes tomorrow. I've been taking insulin nightly for this past week, and continue to go up in dose until my numbers come down.
At my OB appointment last week we scheduled out appointments for the rest of the pregnancy--I'm high risk because of the GD, and I'm pretty sure there's only 1 week between now and when I'll be giving birth where I won't be seeing someone! Eek! There's lots of alternating between ultrasounds (3 more scheduled), as well as a bunch of non-stress-tests, and then the regular OB visits.
I’ve got my 28 week appointment tomorrow. I’ll be doing my GD test, getting my TDAP and Rhogam shots and blood work to test my thyroid again. That’s gonna be a lot of needles!
I have my 28 week appointment Thursday, with my GD test. Not looking forward to the crash that comes after taking that drink, I’ll definitely be bringing some food for after my blood is taken!
So, I totally know that "GD" in these threads means "gestational diabetes," but every single time I see "GD test," I read it as, "I've got my God Damn test tomorrow..." Is it just me? Anybody? Anybody?

LOL on the god damn test :-) I had a growth ultrasound today. All is good, except this is my third ultrasound where the baby measured 4-7 days ahead of my due date. I never knew my last period so the EDD was based on my 6-week ultrasound. At my 12 wk US and baby measured 5 days ahead (They said only when they are 7 days off within the first trimester will they change a EDD). At my 20 wk, I was 6 days ahead. Just nervous since my C-S is scheduled for 9/19 and perhaps this baby is truly due on 9/17. Not totally stressing, because I know our babies can vary and I had two 8 lbs babies. Maybe I just grow them big :-)
It's not really an appointment since I can do it any day I'd like this week or next week, but I'm going to go do my 1 hour glucose test Thursday morning. Figured I might as well just get it out of the way since I can't work it into the same day as my 28 week appointment next week.

Baby is head down! My tech wasn’t convinced, but I KNEW I felt him flip from breech to cephalic two weeks ago. There was a strange tugging sensation and kicks haven’t been the same since. I wonder if he’ll flip again before my next scan.
Baby continues to measure large (~80th percentile, so still within normal limits), which makes me smile. the main reason for the monthly growth scans is to check for poor growth associated with crohn’s disease.
Saw my MFM today and we set a delivery date for no later than August 20th when I'm 36 weeks. I was hoping for a VBAC but because itll be early my OB is pushing for another csection unless my cervix gets more favorable. Hopefully I dont go in to labor before then. (History of pre term)
@ellbeedee wow! You are just over 2 months away from holding this baby. Fx your cervix gets more favorable for VBAC and that you don’t go any earlier than necessary. Will they try to slow down any preterm labor up until that 35 mark?
@klj0228 they wont stop labor after 30 weeks. My MFM says she will be surprised if I make it til 35. I moved to high altitude in November so I am already worried about babys lungs, I'm hoping I can hold out til the 36 for best development.
I had failed rhogham with my first pregnancy so now all babies I have are born anemic. I get bi weekly scans to check for it. They will do Intrauterine blood transfusions if needed up til 30 weeks and deliver after that. But so far no intervention has been needed which is surprising. My baby will be in nicu regardless for phototherapy in the least so I'm hoping for as few preemie issues as possible. Very stressful!!
@klj0228 yeah I need to drink it 30 min before my appointment and then just let them know what time I drank it. I remembered to pack it this morning!!! But I'm so hungry, I'm eating all the things this morning, hopefully that doesn't throw the test off
Welp, I failed the one hour and have to take the three hour next Monday. They want me to carb load for three days before (extra six slices of bread or three candy bars) and then fast without even drinking water the day of. Yay.

Yuck. DNW to have to eat 6 extra slices of bread or 3 candy bars in a day. And no water day of? Yikes.
Good luck!

I'm here for my GD test, plus checking thyroid. She let me choose orange, fruit punch, or lemon lime so I went with the fruit punch, and it was really not bad. Got the tdap, and turned down any cord blood banking, (we are going to delay clamping).
I met the last of the four midwives and she was really nice and said everything is going great, (but I'm sure she's probably also a little extra nice bc she knows how frustrated I have been with my previous visits.) We made the mistake of going for phô last night, so my weight is up two lbs from last visit, largely due to noodle soup lol, but at least she really didn't mention it. She said the tdap is good for 10 years for other caregivers, so I'm sure DH will be relieved to know that he won't need it every time. Just mommy. ;)
Fundal height was measuring 29 at 28+2, so she said that's perfect, and when I said it was 27 at 24 last time, she laughed and said well I guess it all evened out! Good stuff. We talked about actual nutrition and exercise, moreso than at any of the other visits, and she explained why iron levels can get low in 3rd Tri, so they are checking that today, too.
Finally saw the fetal echo report, so that was cool, but a little annoying how it mentions maternal bmi all over the place. Like seriously, when are they going to get rid of that thing! It's not sound science! Andplus pregnant bmi is obviously not the same as non-pregnant bmi. Ffs people. I'm just over it.
ETA Glad ay least the apt went more or less okay, and we should get results Thursday or Friday.
My appointment went well. I did the fruit punch drink this time instead of the orange and it was way less gross. By the time my hour was up, I was practically asleep in the waiting room though. I got all my shots and four vials of blood taken. Hoping I don’t have to go back for the three hour test!
@spottedginger Ughhh sorry you have to do the three hour test. Hopefully you will pass it with flying colors! @EErin86 I got my Rhogam shot last week when I did the GD test. I forgot it's one that goes in the "hip" so it didn't hurt at all! @BusinessWife So glad to hear this appointment went well!

@spottedginger Personal opinion is that it's legit dangerous to stop all water (it's also been 95 and humid here). I would probably fudge that some (just my opinion).
@ellbeedee Fingers crossed for you! My son was a 35 weeker. NICU time sucked, but I largely forget about it now. I'm hoping the fact that your baby hasn't needed transfusions yet is a great sign.

My NYC OB is the best. He gave me an extra appt since my CA office pushed mine back a week (resulting in a 4w2d gap during the third trimester). AND his office is working around my recently changed insurance to avoid a $$$$ out of network bill for these two appts.
One less thing for this pregnant lady to worry about!
@ellbeedee fingers crossed that baby stays put as long as possible. Will they do steroids for baby’s lungs?
@BusinessWife aww man I wish I had my choice of flavors for the glucola drink but I didn't mind the orange. I've tried lots of nasty sports drinks and this was not bad at all. I'm happy you had a good experience with the midwife this time. Pho does that to me too! I felt as if I looked pregnant after eating it when I wasn't ha! @ellbeedee FX and positive vibes to you that you can keep baby in as long as you can. @spottedginger well in the name of medicine enjoy those candy bars FX you pass the 3 hour test.
Had the glucose test this week, came back a pass yay! Hope everyone's appts go well this week.
