Re: June TTGP Grad Check-In
*How far along are you? Almost 19 weeks
*Which birth month board/due date? November 4th
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? PINK!
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it.
We do have a name... It's insanely popular right now. My DH and I agreed that we still love it though, and couldn't imagine using a different name. Her middle name will be my late grandmother's middle name. It just felt right. My grandmother passed just a few weeks before our BFP. She would've been over the moon about this baby...so this is kind of my tribute to her.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share?
Guys, I can't even tell you how much i miss this board, and dang it... I'm so freaking happy to see so many familiar names in the tags! I'm always lurking over here and reading updates, and will continue to do so till I don't recognize a single person on this board. I have so much love for y'all. I honestly don't know if I could've gotten through this round of TTC without this board. I am constantly thinking and wishing for the best for those currently still in the thick of it. You're an amazing group of women...I hope y'all see all the love tits I'm leaving you
*How long were you active on TTGP and when? : March 2017-May 2018, 14 months.
*How far along are you? : 8 weeks!
*Which birth month board/due date? : January 15th
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? : We’re still debating this but I think we’ll end up Team Green.
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. : We just started to let ourselves talk about this last weekend, so no finalists yet!
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? : We had a great ultrasound this morning and I think I’m finally starting to relax a little bit and to believe this is real. Still super nervous, though! I do miss TTGP and lurk here often, especially the IF thread...The app keeps refusing to let me LT things, so my support may not be as visible as I would like sometimes, but I’m definitely still following along and rooting for everyone!
*How long were you active on TTGP and when? 2 months June-August 2017
*How far along are you? I am 6 weeks PP today!
Amelia joined our family on April 25th.
TW- complicated birth story and PP complications
I was induced at 39+1 due to HG. I wasn’t keeping anything down and my OB thought it was what was best for me and baby because I was losing weight and had to receive IV fluids for dehydration. I was on Cytotec for 24 hours and walked 10 miles in the hospital with minimal progress. They started pitocin after 24 hours and I got an epidural. I made some progress and then my water broke on it’s own around hour 30. My epidural had to be redone because it wasn’t working on one side. It never really fully worked and I could feel an insane need to push after 39 hours of labor. My OB came in to check me and Amelia was sunny side up. He was able to turn her as much as possible before I started pushing. I pushed for about 30 minutes and then Amelia’s heart rate started to spike and she was getting stuck. My OB reviewer the options of the vacuum and forceps and what each would mean if we couldn’t get her out quickly. As this was happening, I started throwing up again and the force of vomiting pushed Amelia down enough for my OB to get the vacuum and get her out. Her cord was around her neck, but my OB was fast at getting it unwrapped and let me hold her right away and for about 5 minutes before DH cut the cord. I had a second degree tear. My nurse told me later that I was lucky my OB happened to be the one on call that day because most of them wouldn’t have tried to turn the baby and would have sent me straight to the OR. Amelia was jaundiced and we had to supplement with formula starting day 2 and stay longer than expected. That day I had the roommate from hell at the hospital and was so relieved when they agreed to discharge us at 11pm once Amelia’s bilirubin was out of the high risk range.
Amelia’a follow up pedi appointment was great and we started to wean from the supplements.
I started running a fever when she was a week old and went in to see my OB. They ran blood and urine tests but before the results came back, my fever spiked to 104 and I went to the ER. I have never been so scared in my life. They diagnosed me with a kidney infection and sent me home with antibiotics. I had to pump and dump for the meds they gave me in the ER and it was back to formula supplementing. The next day at 10pm my OB called me at home because my blood cultures came back and I was septic. He switched my antibiotic and I went back to follow up with him for additional injections and for a check up. DS also had a bout of pinkeye mixed in with all of this. My labs came back clean, but my stomach started having problems and had to follow up with my primary care doctor. I was diagnosed with C. Diff and was given antibiotics for that. The first one made me throw up and it was a battle to get insurance to cover the second one. Neither were breastfeeding safe and it was over two weeks of meds for me, so we are on all formula now. It was a hard decision but my body was so tired and my mental state was not great and it was the best decision for us. I finally finished the meds and my labs came back clean two days ago, so I’m just hoping that this nightmare is over and it doesn’t come back.
Amelia has been the sweetest and easiest baby through all of this and we’re so lucky to have her. DS is absolutely in love with her and watching them together gives me so much joy.
*Which birth month board/due date? Due April 30, active on May18
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Pink!
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We circled back to Amelia and I won the middle name battle, so my mom's maiden name is her middle name. My grandparents were very touched and I’m so glad we ended up using it.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? Just that I’m happy to see so many familiar names on the grad threads recently. I still check back here often to see how everyone is. It’s such an amazing community.
*How long were you active on TTGP and when? 7 months- Sep 2017-April 2018

*Team Pink/Blue/Green?
Found out from NIPT that we are having a girl
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it.
No name yet
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share?
I wasn’t sure if I’d ever be able to post in this thread. This pregnancy has been a bit of a roller coaster. I had an empty sac at my first U/S and baby has been consistently measuring 4 days behind despite being sure of ovulation, but there was still a strong HB at 10 weeks so we’re optimistic things will turn out okay. I’ve been lurking the grad thread and it’s been so awesome to see so many IF and TTCAL grads. I’m rooting so hard for those of you who are still on this journey. I will forever be grateful for the ladies of TTCAL, I don’t think I could have made it without their unwavering support.

Only a couple more weeks to go! OB wants to induce me when I'm in my 39th week, so we'll see how that goes. Ready to have an outside baby, most definitely!
I'm super excited for the recent grads, and I'm sending my love to those who have had to come back recently

As always I am lurking and rooting for new grads especially from IF and TTCAL. I so admire the amount of strength and grace that is evident in this board. You are all so fantastic and deserve the best.

We are going with Vincent for a boy, Allison for a girl. We've been set on these names since last go around so it was easy.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share?
We had our first U/S at 6+1 which confirmed this go around LO was not ectopic again. That was a huge relief. Followed by the U/S had today at our 9 week appointment and saw baby wiggling around. I'm starting to let my guard down that this might actually happen. PGAL brain has definitely set in but I'm trying not to let it take over and steal all of my joy.
I miss all of you guys. It's just not the same. I'm always lurking TTGP and trying to follow everyone's journies. I'm hoping that so many more BFPs come
. I'm especially rooting for the IF ladies and all of my TTCAL sisters. I've been devastated over the recent losses. My heart aches for all the loss moms, those yearning to be a mother, or completing your families and I'm always wishing for take home babies for all of you.

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? I'm finally feeling comfortable with this pregnancy after learning at the anatomy scan that the baby is perfectly healthy. I feel so incredibly lucky to have gotten this far. I miss you all so much and I'm so excited to be recognizing more names on this thread. As PPs have said, I'll be lurking and love-titting until I no longer recognize any names on TTGP. Congratulations to all you recent grads and to you @mileswithmyles. I hope you are on the way to recovery.
@BusinessWife I sprained my ankle at 8 weeks and then developed plantar fasciitis in the same foot, so I had one good foot my entire 9 months. It does go away quickly though after you deliver. In the meantime, there is a night brace you can get that stretches your arch while you sleep. It's not sold in stores so you would need to see a foot doctor. Hope you find some relief!

I was induced at 41w with one round of cytotec and then started the pitocin. I got an epidural about 5 hours later and he had to redo it 3 times and give me 2 boosters before it kicked in. I was ready to push around 6pm and I pushed for FIVE HOURS. Baby girl wasn’t really descending and it was either the vacuum or csection. We chose the vacuum and she came out 2 pushes later! She was born a mere 36 minutes before her daddy’s birthday. She’s a very easy going baby and is as sweet as can be. We are adoring every minute with her.
Wishing you all the best and hoping your journeys on TTGP are short!

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. First name will be Hazel, middle name is still TBD
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? We had our second growth scan last week, and since all looked good we are officially off the watch list! This has been a huge relief, and now we just sit and wait for this little tater tot to make her debut. It seems crazy that this journey, which started over 2 years ago, will actually be reaching its end in about a month.
While I have not been lurking around here as much as I previously have, I am so happy to see some of the recent grads. I cannot wait until there is a time where there are no names that I recognize here, but until then I will always continue to root for those who are still here.

*How far along are you? 26 weeks today, eep!
*Which birth month board/due date? Sept 2018/Sept 21
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Blue
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. When we found out it was a boy we had a discussion about names and settled on mutually liking Wesley or Isaac. We haven't discussed it much since then and I haven't felt a need to talk more or finalize the name. I think I want to see him before we decide. We may also add another name or two into the running. My husband shot down my dreams of using the name Jude so if you like it, please use it!
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? Time is flying y'all. I can't believe I'm 26 weeks. My second trimester has been really good to me and I'm enjoying feeling this little dude move all the time.
*How long were you active on TTGP and when? September 2017 - February 2018 but lurked on and off for about a year before joining.
*How far along are you? 21 weeks and a bit
*Which birth month board/due date? October 28
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Green
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We are struggling with this - dh doesn't like anything I suggest and won't take the time to find names on his own. He was like this with our other two as well but we had hammered down names by now so I am starting to stress a bit as I am hoping it's not a rash decision at the end. He is starting to warm up to a few names finally so hopefully by next month we will have something a bit more concrete.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? I can't believe we are already over the halfway mark - this has been a long journey and I am going to cherish these last few months. I miss the TTGP board so much but am so happy at how many names I recognize in the grad threads and on this check-in. I am always thinking of those of you still here and hoping you get to move on soon.
*How long were you active on TTGP and when? July 2016 - September 2017
*How far along are you? 3+ weeks post partum
*Which birth month board/due date? EDD: June 2; born June 6
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Pink
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. Evelyn Lisbeth
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? I posted my birth story on the June board since I know I used to be so bummed when TTGP grads moved to FB and didn't share their story on TB. It's been a crazy three weeks since she arrived so I haven't been able to check TB as often, but I'm excited to see there were some grads in my stalking absence.
you all!!
