Proposed Changes to WTO/TWW

We were discussing possible changes in the randoms thread and want to get everyone's input on it.  Because the board has been slow, we discussed combining the daily WTO and TWW threads into one.  That way, we can all interact with our friends regardless of where they are in their cycle.  When the activity on the board picks back up, we can separate them again.  What are you thoughts/feelings/opinion on this?

Feel free to note any questions/concerns/comments below.  This poll will be open until Friday at 1 pm (ET).  If the majority agrees, we will start the new structure next week.

I think they should be combined.

I'm probably going to be odd man out. I get that it's slow, but here are my reasons for thinking to keep separate. 1, I have a hard time keeping up with just whatever thread I'm in at the time. Keeping up with whose where is going to be too much for me. And 2, if I'm CD3 and feeling really down about another month passing, I'm not going to want to pop in and see someone else chart that looks super promising. That is just my 2 cents.

@prpl11butterfly Thanks for sharing your view!  For the situation you mention, would it help to have all charts in a spoiler so you have the option of whether or not you want to look at it?

I know that they generally are, and it would help. But still think it's best to keep seperate.
ETA  I guess I don't mean just the literal chart. It would be comments about charts, SS, and the such. I personally feel like on a bad TTC day, there could be a lot of things that one happens across that hurt them.

My participation will decrease if they are combined. I will not have the ability to keep up with everything (by this I mean TB, my job and home life) and actually be supportive and keep up with everyone.

The random thread is great for keeping the "groups" interacting, IMO.

Would it be better to keep the body of the TWW/WTO thread as they are, and only merging the GTKY questions? Would that be too many threads every day? Just a thought.

Honestly, I originally suggested merging the daily GTKY questions for the sake of being sensitive and not subjecting people to cycle details who don't want to peek in on the other side. But then it seemed like people wanted to combine everything! I'm happy to go with the majority. I definitely don't want the result of the changes to be alienating!

Personally, I have a hard time positing much during WTO as it is because AF is like 8-9 days long and I don't O until ~CD18, and it's just the same stats every day - I find it depressing to dwell on. So I feel like I kind of check out of the community during that time with nowhere else to go. I think it would be nice to move the GTKY out of the TWW/WTO threads. I feel like one always copies the question from the other, anyway. I also think having a daily GTKY in place of the more negative dailies (bitchfest, twatwaffle, UO, etc) would be a good thing, too. I noticed those don't really happen much, anyway.

Is it possible to redo the poll and add other options? I'm in favor of just combining the GTKY and leaving the TWW/WTO separate also.

@luckywife10 We would have to do a whole new poll which I can do tomorrow morning if I don’t get a chance tonight.  Unfortunately you can’t edit a poll to change/add options

@lulu1180 I'm on a computer now and can add a new poll if you want. It really is annoying that you can't add poll options once you post it!

@general_organa sounds good to me!  And I’ve definitely felt the frustration on wanting to add poll options after the fact

I'm with the others about keeping it the same. I'm cool with combining gtky.

I also like separate WTO/TWW threads. As a newbie I’m having trouble keeping up with all the convos as it is :D

    Combined GTKY sounds fun.
