I’m thankful for awesome colleagues and a flexible job. I started not feeling well today and my boss said “you don’t sound so awesome,” to which I replied, “I don’t feel so awesome.” So my boss suggested I go home and work the rest of my day from my couch. Done. One stop at the drug store for some throat lossengers later and I’m home in comfy clothes with a dose of Robutussin in me and on the couch working remotely. Now I’m debating a nap before my 4pm meeting and finishing up work later tonight.
My mom got her epidural steroid done today. It went really well and I think she could tell a difference already! I asked the anesthesiologist if all the damage to her spine was done on her fall, and she said no. I said that my mom likes to try to do stuff that I wouldn't even try by myself, and she looked at my mom and said 'Yea, don't do that. Be nice to your back!'. It was a relief because my sis and I get frustrated that mom won't even ask and just move something really, really heavy, like a bookshelf, then complain about back pain. So maybe with a Dr on our side, she'll think of it more to ask for help!
Gott give a shout out to Dh. They told him at work if he wants he can stay for OT up to 4 hours a day, he been doing roughly 2 extra hours putting in 10 hour days 5 days a week and then Saturday's when offered. He's been the only one bringing in money since my job ended in May and I really appreciate him doing as much as he can for the babies and preparing for them before they get here!!
