Maternity belt - anyone tried/loved/want to recommend?

Hi all, I'm nearing the end of the second trimester and have been thinking about getting a maternity support belt. Some of them look like medieval torture devices that in no way will look good under clothes, and the ones that look the least insulting I'm afraid might not be supportive enough. I'm having decent hip pain and have read that some support would distribute the weight a little better and not make me feel like I'm 80 :)

Has anyone gotten one that they really love that also works under clothes?

I never got one of the traditional belts but I did buy a bellaband early on. I was just so freaked out about squishing or harming the baby that I never used it much

When I did use it, it gave some decent support and fit under clothes nicely. It's -not- a true support belt; it's mostly for holding up clothes and body shaping, but it did help out some during my 2nd tri.

Not exactly what you're asking but I invested in a supportive tank top from Blanqi https://www.blanqi.com/collections/maternity-supportwear They have a few options. The tank is $70, so quite pricy, but I wore it a LOT and it did honestly help.

I used this one that I found on Amazon:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01GO2Q8ZS/ref=mp_s_a_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1527177233&sr=8-4&keywords=maternity%2Bbelt&dpPl=1&dpID=51tU1%2BpyssL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1
My job occasionally requires me to stand for hours at a time and this helped with the back pain. Also, I had gestational diabetes so I went on a brisk 15 min walk after lunch and wearing this avoided getting Braxton Hicks contractions.

@cashewchicken I saw that one on Amazon and wondered whether it was actually compatible with clothes. Did you wear yours over or under your shirt?

Under my shirt. Wasn’t comfortable to wear this directly over bare skin (especially over the stretched out, sensitive belly) but I wore this over my maternity jeans that has stretchy fabric over the belly. And I wore a shirt over it. I often wore fitted shirt over my belly but the belt didn’t show much. Or so I thought. During pregnancy being comfortable took precedence over how I looked so I wasn’t paying attention much. And also I was big during cold winter months so I often wore a cardigan or a sweater over it which made the belt look less noticeable too I think.

@cashewchicken Totally understand what you’re saying. I just have a LOT of busybodies at work and I’m afraid of the questions. I’ve managed to skate by so far without a lot of personal inquiries, which has been really nice.  :)

This isn't the he exact one I used but similar.  I've had such lower abdomen pressure that I really put it on when I know I'll be doing some walking and need the support.

Especially during my 8th and 9th month!  I used it earlier on but was nervous it was squishing the baby as well  and realized I really didn't need it.  Bigger I got more u wanted to put it on.  At home I just hold the bottom of my belt as opposed to wearing it as I don't like sitting with it on personally! And I wear it over my clothing as well, my pants anyway and my shirt covers it with no problem...but u do need a longer shirt ;)
