    @kbear28 yay!  great news!
@kristimh80 @leilee101 Thank you! My E2 stayed down but my lining was thin.  Not too bummed because I expected it.  I will now be joining the smurfettes. Lol. Hopefully the e2 stays put. Back to the RE in one week.  I may be joining the august team pretty soon.
    @bebesparrow Congrats on your beta!

I am loving all this good news.  Gives me hope!

@lemondrop1976 @bebesparrow Thanks for making me feel better! I was starting to think I was just being nutty! LOL

@suziev3 FX next week brings good news! You can stay in both groups if you want! I know over 1/2 the Aug FET group, so you'll have good company there as well if end up teetering both :)

Hi all! I am so happy to hear about the continued double lines and the great betas! This afternoon, I will be 6dpt. I transferred on Friday and started testing on Sunday. All have been BFNs (all of which have been incredibly demoralizing). I have had cramping and what seem like pinches. Two days ago I had a crazy hot flash in the middle of the night. Last night I was incredibly cold and had to sleep with long PJs, a sweater and two comforters. Yesterday in the evening I had weird cramping around my navel and had a stuffy nose. I was exhausted and ended up going to sleep at 7:30pm. I don’t know what to make if all of this but the wait is driving me mad. My beta isn’t until the 26th which still feels forever away.
  • Options
@bebesparrow lol, that is too funny! Hopefully it's not a coincidence.
  • Options
Hi everyone. I’ve held off on posting because my FET is so delayed, but I need to have a moment to vent.

I oroginally joined the JUNE group, as I was expecting my transfer to happen at the end of June... still waiting.

First, my period was late, but whatever.

Then, I go for my lining check on July 6... 6.8 my clinic wants 8, so they tell me to come back in a week.

July 12, 7.2.  Increase my estrace and tell me to come back in a week.

July 18, 7.4. Add estrogen patches and vaginal Viagra and come back in a week.

Assuming my frigging lining grows this week, my transfer won’t be until AUGUST. A whole month later than I originally expected. Why, why, why can’t I seem to catch a break this cycle?

Oh, and to top it all off, my clinic is 4 hours away, which means every ultrasound is a day off work and a pricey stay in a hotel. This is garbage.

Okay. I feel better. Thanks for letting me vent!!!

@Amy8686 hope everything is still going well, I thought for a minute everyone who was transferring August 1st and 2nd has left me!  I know I saw @madasm0530 when I was lurking the August board.

@bebesparrow awesome beta! Hopefully the good news keeps on coming!

@lemondrop1976 I don’t think you are being glass half empty.  It is a good thing you are able to be okay in this waiting period.

@suziev3 glad your E2 came down and hopefully you get good news next Friday.  If you get pushed back into early August there will be several of us to keep you company!

@kristimh80 @lemondrop1976  @bebesparrow omg I love eggs and avocado!  (But I haven’t had my FET yet, I am just weird like that)  My new favorite is soft boiled eggs with the yolk still gel-ish, it grosses my husband out.  I go home for lunch and when I am in a hurry I will just slice an avocado in half, sprinkle in a little seasoning, and eat it out of the “shell” with a spoon while I am getting a could things done and grab an egg on my way out, easy and no dishes!

@lizy181 the 26th does seem a long time away, but hopefully you will start seeing line before then!

  • Options
@megmac2010 ugh!  So sorry for all the delay.  What a downer.  Hopefully the next lining check is right where it needs to be and August is your lucky month.

I love eggs & avocados, but I can't say I'm craving anything but water at the moment (I think that's a side effect of the prednisone).

@megmac2010 I’m sorry you are having such a difficult time getting where you need to be to transfer.  That must be so mentally stressful each week.  Hopefully you will get good news at this next appointment.

I have a lining question for anyone who may be in the same boat- so 1st FET my lining was somewhere close to 8.9 or something just below 9 six days before transfer.  This round I am taking a low dose aspirin every day and am kinda worried it might keep my lining from being thick enough (doctor told me to take it, I am not taking it on my own).  The reason I am concerned is because last cycle I asked if I was allowed to take an Excedrin migraine and the nurse was very adamant I should not and taking an NSAID could make my lining disappear.  I was expecting them to have me take the estradiol not orally this time, but nope.  Has anyone had experience if low dose aspirin affected their lining thickness or not?

@lizy181 It's still pretty early! I tested the evening of 5dpt and was negative, then the next morning was a very faint positive. It'll take your hcg a minute to double. All your signs sound exactly like mine!! One night and the very next morning a couple days after transfer, I was freezing cold. So for days I was walking around in my sweats and fuzzy socks! Plus all the cramping and pulling...so def good signs :-) Now, all I get are hot flashes lol

@becca07024411 I took baby aspirin a little before my lining check and still do. I didn't have any lining issues by doing so. I'd think you'd be ok :) My lining was also a little thicker than the cycle before and was measured a couple days before the last one. Hope that makes you feel a little better!

@megmac2010 So sorry you're having all these delays! FX next week will be a good appointment and you can transfer very soon!!! <3

@suziev3 sorry for mistaking your lining check for an ERA, I confused you and @bpietronicco but anyhow, am so glad to hear your good news! This month seems to have a lot of positives coming in, so I will focus on that as this wait gets harder and longer! Last night DH was so patient with me as I was emotionally all over the place and he finally said "then why don't you just go buy a test if it will make you feel better?" And I said "oh, I already HAVE the tests but I'm scared to do it. But I'm also terrified of the clinic call Tuesday." I realize I sound like a madwoman lol but this will do it to the best of us I think! So I think I'm still going to try and hold out and not test, although AF sure feels like it's coming. @kbear28 I know you didn't test, so how did you pass the time? I've been watching lots of chick flicks, funny stuff, focusing on work.

@lemondrop1976 I totally feel the same way about being too nervous to test. I'm wanting Tuesday to get here quickly but I also get what you said about Friday can take it's time because of that fear of what the call will bring. Hang in there!

@kristimh80 I have been really hungry but don't like eggs (unless they're baked into baked goods!) so I'm pretty sure that craving would never come up for me! I have been craving red meat though and super thirsty and hot a lot of the time whereas I usually run cold. But realize this could all be from the meds...

@megmac2010 argh so frustrating!! I have had so many delays and set backs in the past 2 years, I totally understand your pain (except for that 4 hour distance - woof!). One thing I have found though, is that no matter how frustrated, angry, upset I get in the moment, once I have moved onto the next step I completely forget about how I felt in the past. I don't know if that makes sense or will help at all, but here's to hoping your lining thickens up asap!

@becca07024411 I never had baby asprin prescribed to me, but I have seen soo many women that are. So many that I actually considered just taking it on my own lol. So if that many women are on it to help thicken their lining, I can't imagine that it would do anything but help with that.

@lizy181 it's still way too early to get down on yourself yet. That's why I'm going to try my best to hold off on testing at all this cycle, it just makes me crazzzy. PS - we have beta on same day :))

@suziev3 yayy for e2 staying down!! and welcome to the smurfette club lmao, I suggest you invest in some panty liners asap. Can I ask what your lining was at? Because that was one of two questions I have for you ladies (I got the ok to transfer at 7.1, seemed low to me based on the spread sheet). The other ?:

What are people getting for side effects of PIO? last cycle I just got sore boobs (incredibly misleading:/), this cycle I have headaches - but that was also the main symptom for me during my IUI that ended in a CP (no progesterone that cycle), so I know that's a pregnancy symptom for me but I have also heard it may be a side effect of progesterone, so just want to take a poll..
  • Options
@leilee101 That is exactly what I needed to hear. I am so frustrated and it feels like we're never going to get there. I'm happy to hear there is amnesia on the other side!

@becca07024411 I've used baby aspirin with every transfer and this current one is the only one I have had lining issues. The nurse explained to me that it makes implantation easier, so if your Dr prescribed it I wouldn't worry about your lining! When is your lining check?
  • Options
@Momifbysea I take that as a good thing :) Your body maybe craving protein, which is prob my case. I don't eat meat besides seafood...so I'm the opposite so wouldn't be a craving lol I'm also always thirsty and it's annoying not being able to drink cold water since it's so hot out!

@leilee101 I never feel like progesterone gives me a lot of symptoms. Sadly, progesterone mimics pregnancy symptoms a lot so it's frustrating!

@lizy181 - It's definitely still early, but I understand what you're going through. I've had 3 BFP's in my life, and all of them were stark negatives at 6dp5dt. And I was a wreck. :-/ Try not to count yourself out for another few days at least, but that's easier said than done.

@becca07024411 - Still here, holding down the fort for early August! We were away for a week so it's been hard to keep up. Actually, it's always hard to keep up with this board, but now I have more time to try!

@leilee101 for PIO side effects, I'm noticing my stomach is way bloated, crazy heartburn at night so have been sleeping propped up on 2 pillows, the last couple of days (my FET one week ago) I've been hot, and then period-like cramps where I feel like AF is coming on. Oh, and headaches a lot of the time.

@becca07024411 my RE has had me on baby aspirin for all retrievals and even while taking BCP the month before this FET (still taking it indefinitely at this point). My lining one week out from FET was 11, so I believe it's meant to increase blood flow to the uterus and help with the lining.

@megmac2010 good to hear from you and yes, I don't blame you one bit for needing to vent with all this trying to get your lining up! It is frustrating but I second pp in that I think back on all my hurdles and roadblocks to get to this point, months and months of delays for various reasons during the last nearly 2 years, and I have somewhat forgotten them while focusing on the new stuff. The next hurdle. Trying to stay present in the moment helps me, although during this TWW that has proven more challenging! I so so hear you on the 4 hour clinic drive. Mine is also 4 hours away (I could go for blood draws locally but my insurance is still in the other state so it works out more economical for me to just do the drive, schedule a 1pm-ish appointment and go up and back in one day. My mom may be able to ride along with me for this first beta on Tuesday which would be nice company for the day. I told her I'd treat her to lunch before my 1:10 blood draw, then we're turning right back around and two states later, will be back home! One thing I've learned is that we ladies do what we do for something this incredible and on our hearts.

@kristimh80 yes, maybe that's it! Protein and I was thinking iron? **TW: child mentioned** when I was pregnant with DD a few years ago, all I wanted was hamburgers and steaks so I'm kinda clinging to that hope **end TW**

Hello all! The double lines and the wonderful betas on this thread are so awesome to see. I'm very happy to see them and I hope and pray that good news would continue to come.

Afm, AF came 7/17 and I'm at the clinic now, no Beta#3 but the urine test I took in the clinic was bfn. Dr. discussed my schedule for IVF#3 and I start preparing for stimming today and my first monitoring would be 8/17. I feel miserable that I'm not PG at this moment and uncertain if I will really have a chance. But I did have a real implantation and a BFP for once in my life this month so I'm hopeful that I will get KU someday.

Im sorry If I can't contribute anything uplifting at this point but once I get over this cold spell I'm having, I'll come back with a more positive and hopeful mood. I really want to be here and cheer for you wonderful ladies. I don't have anybody I can talk to IF related because my friends and family have absolutely no clue about what I'm going through but you ladies get it and I'm so thankful for you all.

@tinjp78 ((hugs)) We all totally understand and many of us have been right in your shoes! In April, I was in the same situation and was crushed. It was hard for my to contribute, but at the same time I couldn't totally leave the board I was on. Having a plan for the next steps gave me hope again and something to look forward to. I pray things turn around for you in that aspect and you can see some sort of silver lining in it all. Always here if you need a friend to talk to!! <3

@tinjp78 ((hugs)) to you.  I'm sorry you're having a hard time but I understand.  The implantation last round is promising for future success and it sounds like you have a plan moving forward.  This journey is hard and there are bound to be times when you're feeling down.  We're all here to offer support in the good and bad times.

@leilee101 my PIO and suppository side effects seem to be worse this round.  No sore boobs but I'm in such a mental fog and daily headaches.

AFM: Sitting here at 3DP5Dt, Feeling nothing in the way of symptoms.  I know it's still early but at this point last time I had a very strong vibe that it had worked.  This time I'm just a little down about the whole thing.  Also, like I mentioned above, something has me in a mental fog.  I don't know if it's the progesterone or the prednisone but I think it's for sure a side effect of something.  And the last two nights I've woken up at 2:30 and CANNOT get back to sleep, so that isn't helping.  Can't wait until next Friday when this hurdle is over.

Any fun plans for the weekend?  It's supposed to rain all weekend here.  We're having my sister's family over Sunday for a board game day so that will be an awesome distraction!!

@ChristenMA83 The progesterone fog is a real thing! I didn't think of that being a symptom, guess I've gotten use to living in a daze lately lol As you know, a lot of symptoms really early are hormone related. Hey July-ers; I've been mostly on the August board as my tentative transfer is 8/2 but I am having such a hard time with this FET cycle. With IVF, you're on such a strict regimen of appointments and meds and FET is just so much more laid back. It also doesn't help that 10 days after BCPs I got spotting and incredible cramping. I guess I'll find out next Wednesday at our lining check if everything is looking ok.

I am so excited and hopeful to see all the two lines, positive betas, etc. over here. Let's keep it going!!

YAY! for a second line.  We'll be starting with Zombicide tomorrow which is a cooperative strategy game where you're all on the same side to survive the zombie apocalypse.  We might play some shorter games afterward depending on how long the campaign takes.  One came can be anywhere from 1-4 hours.

@kristimh80 good to know I'm not alone in the fog.  I know people at work are noticing because they keep trying to snap me out of it.  So not on my game these days.

@lizy181 & @kristimh80 I'm going to learn from you two and if I do test it'll be in the AM.

@kristimh80 Today is beta day, right??? Hopefully I'm not mixing up my dates. FX for an excellent # today - sending lots of positive vibes your way!

@tinjp78 (((Hugs))) I'm sorry the last cycle wasn't the one. I know how hard it can be to pull yourself out of the devastation, but also know that it's OK to take the time to grieve and feel everything you need to feel. I am rooting for you and sincerely hope IVF #3 brings you your THB. Thinking of you!

@lizy181 - That is the best news! So happy for you. Also, I love Ticket to Ride. That's always my first choice to play and my husband is always like "You know we have a whole closet of other games, right?" Have you played Dominion? I'd put that at a similar level of being easy to learn, not taking too much focus, but still involving a lot of strategy and being really fun.

@ChristenMA83 - Just to counter the test-in-the-morning strategy, I thought I'd let you know that I've always gotten my first BFP's in the afternoon. I think it's because I'm always getting up to pee at night by that time in the cycle, so my morning pee isn't as "strong" as it should be.

@tinjp78 - That's great that you're jumping back in! Don't feel like you have to be happy for us. You can post wallowing messages every day if that's what you need and we'll still like you. I think it's perfectly fine to accept the fact that this stage in life really sucks, and we can be miserable until it's over (one way or another).

@tinjp78 I'm so sorry. This sucks. One of my favourite things about this board is that you are allowed to be as in the dumps for as long as you want. When you're ready, we're here. Take care of yourself!

    @kristimh80 beta news????

@ChristenMA83 I love talking weekend plans! I'm going to pick some fresh strawberries, which is a very healthy thing to do. Then I'm going to dip some in chocolate, because that's a very IVF thing to do ;) Hope you enjoy your board game night!

I think the increased estrogen is putting me in a better mood. Is that a thing? Since they upped my dose on Wednesday I'm a lot more chipper and, I'm going to say it, I'm HILARIOUS. The only thing that's bugging me today is that these damn patches are so itchy! 2 and a half hours until I put new ones on and can finally scratch underneath them!

@lizy181 The waiting is sooo hard.  I am both looking forward to and not looking forward to the 2ww.  Possible you could have a later implantation.
@madasm0530 I am right there with you on the long FET struggle.  I should have transferred end of June.  Gah! I might be joining you over at the Aug board because I might be early August or last day couple of days in July.
@tinjp78 Give yourself time to feel whatever you need to feel, but glad to see you are looking to future steps.

@megmac2010 Strawberry picking sounds so nice.  I wanted to do that this summer but the crop was so bad the u-pick places around us kept canceling u-pick :(  Hope you enjoy and get lots of yummy berries!!

Lots to catch up on but just wanted to say happy beta day @kristimh80 can’t wait to hear what it is.

@Chrysalis7 yes, they're an older couple about my parents' age who we met through church when we lived in Iowa. Their daughter is a pharmacist and had her daughter through IVF 10 years ago so they are familiar and have been great supports. Since I have to be in that state for coverage right now, they have told us we are always welcome to stay with them when I'm up for appointments so we have been doing that! Even when they're going to be gone traveling they will leave us the key. One huge burden lifted when we need to go overnight, but with DH's job he has no more days off, hence me making the mid-day appointment for testing and just doing the round trip in a day. They are a true blessing and I can talk so openly about everything with both of them! When DH and I were living in different states for 6 months last fall/winter for a couple of retrieval cycles, I even went over to their house so they could help watch DD while I did the first solo injections and he (our friend) gave me encouragement and support since he'd worked in hospitals. We love them!

@lizy181 great on the double lines and I hope for darker ones as you keep testing!

@tinjp78 sending you a big hug and also happy to see you are figuring out a path forward. Take your time and that is what this group is for, the good times and the bad. God knows how many times you all have put up with my endless worry and stress about the littlest of things, and I'm so thankful for that! You have a beautiful attitude and I'm thankful for having 'met' you on here.

@kristimh80 thinking of you today and can't wait to hear your news!

@megmac2010 I love your chipper/hilariousness, go on with your bad self! These meds can affect us all so differently. So yesterday my husband comes home from work right as I'm in the middle of this YouTube super emotional video where the couple's been stuggling with IF for 6 years, multiple FETs, and they just were filming their live seeing the double lines on the test, so DH walks in, I pause it, walk over to him just bawling. He asks me what is wrong and I am sobbing "nothing's wrong". He asked if I took a test and I said no, just kept alternately crying and laughing. Like a crazy lady. Then I confessed what I'd been watching, lol.

@ChristenMA83 curious to know if you end up testing or not. I think I'm decidedly not at this point. Almost Tuesday, right? I think for me, driving 4 hours with a known negative would be really tough and a long time to think about it. Plus I'd be a bawling mess in the waiting room. BUT, having said that, I love when you all test because I can live vicariously through all the double lines lately and hope it's contagious!

@tinjp78 Sending you a *hug*, super tight squeeze, today.  IVF is such an emotional process without any guarantees, even with PGS embryos.  It's so hard to pick up the pieces.  Take all the time you need, we are here for you!  It's not a matter of *if* you will get PG, it's *when* you'll get PG.  My doctor said that to me when I was crying and having so much doubt in everything after my first PGS normal embryo failed to implant.  Rooting for you and everyone here!

@kristimh80 Happy beta day!!!  Can't wait to hear about it.

@Momifbysea Are you talking about Ayla and Caleb? Because I watched their video today and I died.

  • Options
@Momifbysea I just ordered a bunch of internet cheapies from Amazon....so I'm sure I'll test but at least I won't go broke doing it.  That 4 hour drive does put a whole different spin on the testing beforehand though.

@tinjp78 just echoing what others have said.  This board is for support and there will be times when you have a lot to give and other times when your cup is empty and need a place to vent and allow others to help you.  I know logically it is a good sign an embryo can implant and you can get pg, but the emotional highs and lows must make it incredibly difficult.

@megmac2010 I didn’t find the estrogen to really bother me at all either.  In fact, last cycle I think it may have made me a bit more energetic, but not quite feeling it this time.  I think it comes in waves.  Only on day 7 so far and tomorrow I up the dose to 3 a day, so we will see what happens.

@madasm0530 I feel you on the FET cycle taking for every.  The stims and ER part of the cycle really really sucks, but it seems like it goes by so fast because you are actually doing something and getting constant updates with new information.  Like seriously, the fastest 2 week of my life, but an FET dragggsss onnnn foreverrrrr, especially the 2 weeks between baseline and lining check.

@kristmh80 so, so excited for your update today!!!
