R/R: I think I decided we will NTNP this cycle. I won't actively pursue trying, but if it happens it happens. Also, I am proud of myself because I finally gave up energy drinks and am on day 5 of not having one.
CS/Q:
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW) About 30 minutes or so to get just myself ready. I take a shower, put on a little makeup, sometimes dry my hair and sometimes don't, try to blend a smoothie or something really quick, and try to leave on time. I am pretty low maintenance.

My grandpa passed away last week. He had a very long fulfilling life. His body started to give out on him 5 years ago and he slowly started to get worse and worse. Towards the end he was in a lot of pain so we are all relieved he’s finally at peace. My family has always believed that when someone passes in the family a new life is made. My great great aunt passed and then my aunt got pregnant. My cousin passed and then my other cousin got pregnant. And it goes on and on like this. With my grandpa’s passing everyone is convinced we will get pregnant. It’s great to have so much support and optimism but at the same time, holy pressure batman!

CS/Q: nope
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW) From the time my alarm goes off to the time I step out the door it’s one hour (this is on work days, weekends can be 5 min lol). I usually snooze for 10 min then shower (I’m a long shower taker). I make coffee in a french press and grind my own beans so that takes some time. And then I also take care of the animal, feed/potty dogs, fresh water for bird and a little play time. In the bathroom I literally brush my teeth, put on deodorant, and sometimes blow-dry my hair. That’s it.

WAYDTGKU: OPKs and DTD
R/R: Still can't get a positive OPK. This is so stressful. Hopefully just BD tonight and tomorrow in hopes that somehow I'll ovulate. We did on CD 11 & 12, so if I O'd early and didn't know, at least we tried a couple of days early on in the window. Not sure what to think.
CS/Q: Anyone ever had trouble with store brand OPKs vs. name brand? I'm sure that's not the issue, but just thought I'd ask. I'm using the ones with a control line and my reading.
GTKY: *TW-child* How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW) I wake up an hour and a half before I have to leave to take DD to school and go to work. I shower, lotion, dry hair, make up, curl hair. Then I get DD ready. If I were a better person, I'd wake up 2 hours ahead (which I used to do) and make a nice breakfast. Usually we are eating peanut butter toast in the car lol.
@sparklingdiamond I think that's a good plan. I think with the pressure off, it'll just be a very happy surprise if you do get pregnant.
@LJMoon6 I am so sorry for your loss, but what a sweet story. Families are so great like that somtimes. Here's hoping that a new life will be joining you all soon.
@GeorgiaGirl1230 I always just used the cheap Wondfo OPKs from Amazon and those worked pretty well for me.

WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPKs, charting all the things
R/R: It's Friday!
CS/Q: I'm 99.99999999% sure I'm 2 DPO, but I'll play here until tomorrow's temp confirms.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW) It takes me 30-40 minutes to get myself ready, I rinse off, straighten my hair, put on makeup and put on whatever outfit I picked out the night before so I don't stand there frustrated in my closet staring at my clothes for an hour. The total time from wake-up to out the door though is about 2 hours, but I won't get into all of that.

WAYDTGKU: OPK, CM, BBT, HIO
R/R: Rave: It's finally entering summer weather here, meaning beach-worthy weather! I'm so excited. No rant from me today.
CS/Q: Does anyone ever see a dip in their temp the day of ovulation?
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? I'm usually ready in under 20 minutes. I shower at night before bed, so my morning routine consists of face washing, teeth brushing, usually a quick flat iron on my hair (I have short hair so it doesn't take long), and light makeup.
@sparklingdiamond - Are you giving up all caffeine or just the energy drinks? I have a coffee addiction and it has always been so hard to give it up. I hope it's much easier for you!

WAYDTGKU: Losing Weight, exercise, prenatal vitamins, going to be contacting my OB and RE in October about blood work. Will have my IUD removed in February...
R/R: Just trying to get over this depression. I am putting together my weight training routine for the summer (and next school year) and am hoping to get to a point where I feel better.
CS/Q: Nothing. Just waiting until we're actively TTC so I can get the VIP on FF again...
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW)
Ummm...if I need to shower and do my hair, around 45 minutes, but if not, around 10 minutes. I throw on some clothes, brush my teeth and hair, wash my face, and I'm out the door. If I shower, then I need to blow dry and straighten my hair.
@GeorgiaGirl1230 I only have experience with CBADs and wondfos and haven't had an issue with either - have you tried wondfos? Sorry for your struggles, I hope you get answers on this cycle soon.
@chellisam I sometimes get a dip on or right before O, and sometimes I don't. It can definitely be a thing though.
@sparklingdiamond Congrats girl! That is a huge accomplishment and you should be super proud of yourself. I think that you have made the right decision for this cycle too.
@LJMoon6 So sorry for your loss, but I am sure that is is somewhat of a relief knowing that he is finally at peace. *hugs* Loss is never easy, no matter what. FX that the pattern continues for you though.
@chellisam Yes, I have had a major temp dip on O day in previous cycles.
My morning routine is a hot mess. I get up a bit after 6 and am out the door by 725. General routine is shower (eod), coffee, dress, makeup, pack snacks. Throw in some random chores here and there and prepping the house so that DHs robovac doesn't get stuck somewhere silly.
@LJMoon6 so sorry for your loss. FX that you can keep the family pattern rolling.
@chellisam I also experience a temp dip on O day.
@GeorgiaGirl1230 I'm using store brand OPKs and I'm wondering the same thing. I haven't gotten positives yet, but that may be due to other things.
@snarkles Good for you for planning your weight routine!

WAYDTGKU: Well H told me a few days ago that he wants wait until next cycle to TTC. That's been difficult for me because we had agreed a few weeks ago that this would be the cycle to start.
R/R: See CS/Q
CS/Q: ***TW***
This is my first cycle post partum and I was super excited to see AF arrive. I breastfeed DS and about a month ago he started sleeping 7 hours at a time at night, only waking once to nurse. I'm assuming that's why AF returned. In the last week or so, DS has been waking up 2-4 times at night to nurse and I can't figure out what's changed to cause to him wake up that much. This has caused me to not be able to temp in the morning because I'm not getting 3 hours of sleep recommended before temping. Before getting pregnant with DS my cycles were 32 days long and O day was usually CD19. I'm on CD 20 now and my temps (the handful of days I have been able to temp) have been consistent with no spikes. This is my first time using OPKs and I keep getting negatives. I'm also bad at checking CM or knowing that consistency it is.
So my question/worry is that I won't ovulate again for a while because DS has not been sleeping through the night like before. But I also know that cycle length can change after pregnancy so my cycle could be longer or I might not have another period for a while. Also I needed to vent. Thanks for reading
End **TW**
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW
If I'm just getting myself ready I can do it in half an hour or less. I eat breakfast, take a shower, do my hair, brush my teeth, and put on a little makeup. Picking out what to wear takes can take a long time, I never know what to wear.
@GeorgiaGirl1230 Would you mind reading the disclaimer at the top of the start of this thread and adding a TW spoiler for your GTKY part? A lot of ladies in here really really struggle so that's why the dailies are designed the way they are. If you want to talk about that, there is a TFAS thread posted up today by me. It should be a regular posting, but it got pushed back to page 2.
@LJMoon6
@prpl11butterfly I hope that you feel better really really soon.

I don't have a morning routine anymore! I WFH so no one that matters ever has to see me. My hair is mad greasy today. I really really really need to wash it this afternoon or evening.
@LJMoon6 I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa's passing. That is a lot of pressure on you to get KTFU! That's a lot of pressure, but FX that they are right!
@chellisam I usually see a tiny dip on O day, but not a huge one. Though, I think it's common to see large temp drops on O day.

WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT, OPK’s, HIO, cutting back on caffeine and alcohol
R/R: I am in the process of changing jobs next year (same school system, better opportunity) so while I am excited I’m also nervous that it might not be the greatest time to TTC. But since we don’t know how long it might take, I’m more comfortable starting now and figuring the rest out later!
CS/Q: Thoughts on drinking while WTO? My initial goal was to cut out alcohol altogether while TTC, but it’s Friday and this teacher could use a few glasses of wine!!
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW) About 40 mins from when I wake up to leaving the house. I shower, dress, dry hair, minimal makeup, and leave. I should eat breakfast but I never wake up early enough, I have to leave my house by 6:40!
Thanks for all the love ladies!
@sparklingdiamond I think your plan of NTNP is best. I wouldn’t be able to just stop trying either. Even when we were supposed to be benched due to my new job I just couldn’t. I’m so jealous of your quick morning routine! I feel like I am low maintenance too but for some reason it always takes me an hour! How do you do it!?
@georgiagirl1230 I use internet cheapies too. I’ve never had a problem with them. The first time I used them I didn’t end up Oing till CD18 which is 5 days late for me. Maybe it’s a psychological thing.
@chellisam I do usually see a dip on O day. Not a large one but it’s there. My temps are usually all over the place until like 3-4 day before O they finally settle down.
@snarkles I’m sorry for the loss of your grandpa. Parkinson’s is hard to watch. MH has full body tremors that are similar to Parkinson’s but a slower progression. His shakes get worse when he has some adrenaline pumping. They will keep getting worse with age. It will be interesting to see how he/we handle it. His mom gets botox shots in her neck because those muscles shake her head too much. It’s not life threatening but it will become debilitating at some point.
@suzycupcake ((((((Hugging you!))))))
@general_organa I so wish I could work from home! I would do the same thing! Shower when I stink not because it’s morning and it’s part of my routine lol.
@dogmomma271 I don’t really drink much anyways but drinking while WTO is perfectly fine! I even think drinking during the TWW is fine, but in moderation. A big glass of wine is not going to hurt you. Go for it! I might even have one myself tonight! Cheers!

@LJMoon6 I’m so sorry for your loss. Glad that your grandfather is no longer in pain though. It’s always tough to see the people you love get older.
@Sparty18 Based in your chart it definitely looks like you’re 2 DPO. FX for you!
@dogmomma271 I don’t think it hurts to have a few drinks when WTO. I don’t personally do it but only because it’s a really big migraine trigger for me and I try to avoid migraines at all cost. If I could though you better believe I’d have some glasses of wine to relax and decompress!

WAYDTGKY: bbt, cm, opk, pnv,
R/R: It looks like my cm is now ewcm and of course I’m out of town for the night so can’t bd with husband. We did end up bding last night so at least there’s that. I also forgot to pack my thermometer and now I’m worried I’m gonna miss my ovulation temp spike if it were to happen tonight. Seriously considering going out to the store to buy one....
Rave: my mom is serving as props master for a professional theatre production and I’m going to be her assistant and we had our first production meeting today. I majored in musical theatre and worked as an actress for a few years before going into the corporate world so it’s kind of nice to be involved again with a show, although a little foreign because I’ve been away from the scene so long.
CS/Q: not today.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning and what does your routine consist of? (stolen from Thursday’s TWW)
i usually work from home so i stay in my pajamas or comfy lounge pants a lot. When I do leave the house I’d say about 30 minutes. I don’t wear a ton of makeup most of the time so it’s usually just moisturizer, eyebrow pencil, and mascara. Concealer & foundation if I’m really broken out or want to look particularly nice.
