Hope it's okay that I selfishly posted this. Because I GO HERE TODAY! First prenatal appointment! I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that there's actually a baby with a heartbeat in there.

As for me, I have an appointment tomorrow for another ultrasound and all of the genetic blood tests. If everything goes well with the scan tomorrow I'm gonna treat myself to some maternity clothes because my normal pants are starting to get prrrrrretty uncomfortable!

I scheduled a "peace of mind" appointment for tomorrow morning, because I have been a disaster anxiety-wise for the past several days.  There is no real indication that anything is wrong, but my brain just won't accept it and I cannot shake the bad feelings.  I had a good ultrasound two weeks ago at 8 weeks, but my next isn't supposed to be until the 25th, and I just cannot continue feeling like this for the next 2.5 weeks.

I assume they will probably just try the doppler first, and if they can't find a heartbeat go for a US.  Hopefully there is a 10 weeker in there with a strong heartbeat.

@hkom Did you hear a heartbeat at the 8-week appointment? I've been reading (because I'm also freaking out, ha) that if there's a solid heartbeat past 8 or 9 weeks then the chance of miscarriage dips really low. Anyway, good luck! Hopefully all is still well with baby.

And good luck at your appointment @maureenmce! If I get a happy scan and heartbeat today I may treat myself to a milkshake on the way to pick my son up from daycare...and also a small celebratory glass of wine in the evening. (Although, heck. If it goes poorly you know I'm drinking anyway.)

@PensiveCrayon We did!  Everything was perfect at the ultrasound and the heartbeat was really strong (171 I think).  Outside of my own head, I am aware that everything should be fine and that the chance of something going wrong is so tiny but I can't seem to keep myself from spiraling.  Hopefully by this time tomorrow morning I will feel a lot better.  Fingers crossed for you today!!

@hkom UGH!! That stress is the worst! I am glad you are going in.

I had an ultrasound this morning.  First time I've ever heard a heartbeat!  My husband danced! LOL.

First appointment us Friday (8 weeks 1 day). Hoping for a healthy heartbeat and one sack, YOU HEAR ME UTERUS???ONE!! We want ONE more, not TWO! Then is all goes well I can start scheduling all the fun things I get to do now that I'm geriatric

@hkom I'm so sorry you've been having so much anxiety! I hope this appointment gives you peace of mind!

@lexidawg I'll be 10 weeks exactly at my appointment tomorrow. That's when my OB always does the genetic blood tests. We'll also do a more in depth ultrasound at 12 weeks to check for any abnormalities too, but if (fingers crossed) both those tests go well, we won't need any more in depth looks until the anatomy scan!

@maureenmce Awesome!  My first OB appointment is on my 10 weeks exactly date.  Since I did IVF, I am with my RE until 9 weeks. I am HOPING that the OB will do the testing on the same day and that I won't need a separate appointment.

@lexidawg I have my genetic blood testing and physical exam with the OB this Thursday - I'll be 10 weeks 5 days. So I think around 10-11 weeks is when most OB's do screening/testing. Hopefully yours will all be on the same day! But, ya know, separate appointments = separate copays! Yey, insurance

I finally go here! I have an appointment with my family doctor tomorrow. It'll just  be the usual urine test and to make sure things are progressing properly. 
Hoping she breaks out the doppler.
Anyone have any luck with a HB on doppler at 10 weeks?

I have my 1st checkup with the DR on Wednesday and another ultrasound on Wednesday which has me all stressed sigh. They weren't able to get good measurements which I hope is all it was but over course I'm over here over thinking everything.

I have my first OB appt Wednesday. My anxiety has been through the roof, so I’m really hoping for another ultrasound..

My first appt is Wednesday I’ll be 7weeks 1 day but it’s just with the nurse to confirm pregnancy and go over history. Not sure when my first sono will be.

@lexidawg How exciting -- congrats!!

I don't really have an appointment this week -- just my NT bloodwork scheduled for Friday.  BUT -- I got my zika results back (finally) and they are NEGATIVE!  I am so relieved.  I've been in panic mode for almost five weeks and feel so much better now.

Eeeeeek!!! So exciting ladies, lots of appts are happening this week! I'm excited to say my first appt will be tomorrow for a confirmation visit and probably an US as I'm seeing my same OBGYN as with my first and that's what happened last time. I cannot wait! This day is going to drag.

Babyyyy! Appointment went well. Heartbeat 164, measuring a few days ahead at 9w1d. I can’t this is actually happening!

@kristah2 with my 1st pregnancy my MW was able to find the HB with a doppler at 9 weeks.

Bummer appointment today. 8 weeks 3 days and they just gave me questionnaires to fill out,  not even a pee test or blood work. Next appointment is 12 weeks for the Doppler, no ultrasound until 20 weeks    I switched obs and this is definitely different than last time.
