Other than overdoing it this weekend feeling great.
DD will be 2 this month!!!!!! We are doing pictures this Wednesday and will be traveling to my parentsp the weekend of her birthday, then having a party with friends and family memorial day weekend. This month will be crazy. I'm really excited to give her the strider bike we got her though
Haha it's seasonal but my favorite is Goodnight Goon, a halloween spoof on goodnight moon. Lately DD keeps picking The Enormous Potato and The True Story Of the Three Little Pigs
I'm excited to see what books other people are reading! I'm always looking to expand the library
22 weeks for me. No idea on the size, but we’re feeling good.
DS turned 2 in January. I finally convinced DH that we should spend Memorial Day weekend potty training. I really, really want him out of diapers before #2 comes along so I don’t have to buy a ton more cloth diapers. Also I have no desire to start potty trying while taking care of an infant. We’re going to try the 3 day method. Wish us luck!
i love reading Goodnight Moon, but right now his favorite book is Baby Loves Quarks. We’re raising a little nerd
@nackie ooo that book sounds fun. DD has the periodic table of elements blocks, also most of our friends are engineers or in the medical field... Nerdy is normal in our circle
How far along are you? How big is baby? I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow. Time is flying bye now that I'm feeling better (fingers crossed I didnt just jinx it).
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns?
Feeling decent. Tiredness hit me again that last week but I'll take that over un ending nausea any day of the week. Food aversion still here.
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? DD is 27 months. She still isn't interested in potty training. She'll go on the big girl potty every once in a while but she still doesn't get the concept of holding it. I'm concerned that we need to do this before new baby and its just not going to happen.
What's your favorite book to read to your child? Oh I have a lot. She loves reading! Right now Ten Little Teddy Bears Splashing in the Tub is a favorite of hers. She loves the texture of the rubber bears and we do colors and shapes with it too. The Peppa Pig ten minute stories are great. Its a large book broken down into 10 minutes smaller stories. She loves all the large board books that are the find it ones (Sophia the first, sesame street, etc.). Lastly she likes the books with the little windows you open. She has a Noah's Ark and a farm one. It works on numbers and animals too.
20+5 over here. Baby is the size of a paper airplane or a Belgian endive.
DS is two (since December). We’ve been doing light potty training since he started showing interest and will be ramping up to full-on this week and weekend (working in tandem with daycare). Need to re-stock his extra clothes stash and send some underwear in, too.
I still love to read Llama llama and steam train dream train. DS is obsessed with Dragons love Tacos.
How far along are you? How big is baby? 22+3, the size they're supposed to be, lol. No idea. How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? Feeling OK, lots of SPD pain, but otherwise good. Crossing fingers on placenta moving. How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? He'll be 2 in just under a month, speech therapy is just starting to really take off, so we're starting to introduce idea of baby slowly. He just "asked" for a poop diaper to get changed for the first time this weekend, so hopefully that's a sign that we might get some start on the potty soon, but I have enough cloth diapers for 2, so I'm not going to stress. I will take a second to brag about him though-he sat at a two hour hibachi dinner out last night, ate a ton, tried everything, and didn't throw a fit. Shocked! What's your favorite book to read to your child? Fox in Socks and Giraffes Can't Dance. Fox is Socks is a tongue twister and we all giggle through it, and we are a silly dancing family here, so Gerald the Giraffe is a buddy of ours.

How far along are you? How big is baby? 23 weeks today - Baby is as big as a Barbie
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? Feeling good! No concerns
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? DS is 4 and DD is 21 months. No questions or concerns What's your favorite book to read to your child? I’m enjoying reading DD her Big Sister book. As for DS, I’m happy reading anything that we haven’t already read 12 times that day. Haha
Nausea is still hanging around (enough already), but otherwise great.
DS is 2.5. At first he seemed really excited for his sister to arrive, but now he's starting to rebel a little - like when we refer to the nursery as the baby's room, he has started saying "no, it's my room!" (btw, it had never been his room - up until last weekend it was full of boxes and other junk from when we moved). Any ideas to help get toddlers more on board with their new role as big bro/sis?
DS loves Good Night, Good Night Construction Site (same author as Steam Train Dream Train). There's a sequel now too - Mighty, Mighty Construction Site - which is also cute. And I personally love Giraffes Can't Dance haha
How far along are you? How big is baby? 22weeks and change, big head smaller fundal height so hopefully normal.
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? Pretty good. Started swelling in my feet as the weather has warmed up.
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 6, 3, and 18ish months (maybe 19 now?). Nope, they're good!!! What's your favorite book to read to your child? I like a variety. My girls like the Llama, llama ones, also Fancy Nancy and, of course, Bible stories.
Daughter #1 - Feb 2012 Daughter #2 - Oct 2014 Daughter #3 - Nov 2016 Baby #4 - Sept 2018
My daughter is obsessed with Corduroy, Harry the Dirty Dog, Pout Pout Fish, Llama Llama Red Pajama, anything by Sandra Boynton, and a custom book we ordered online about her and our dog (it has their names in the story, and the dog we picked to look like our dog).
She’ll be 2 on Friday! She does pretty goon on the potty, and we’re planning to commit to potty training maybe over Memorial Day. If not then, definitely in June/July. I think she’s ready.
How far along are you? How big is baby? 22 Weeks - about the size of a spaghetti squash.
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? Mostly alright, though I've been a bit tired and occasionally just feel off.
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 5, 3 (almost 4), and 18 months. We have a meeting tomorrow with the school system to discuss our middle's IEP for speech (we had him re-evaluated for language). Based off his scores, it doesn't look like he's going to qualify for any additional services (he already receives articulation services). On one hand, I'm glad that his language skills aren't "significantly" behind his peers. On the other hand, I feel kind of at a loss on how to help him catch up, especially with his expressive communication skills where he scored below average. What's your favorite book to read to your child?
"Is your mama a llama?" It's a really easy read with adorable illustrations.
Baby is 20 weeks yesterday. I'm feeling tired and sensitive. Can't sleep. But ok. DD turned 5 in March. She's been whiny and clingy. But I think thats more her stage than about the baby right now. We've been reading Harry Potter at bedtime. We also love Early Readers cause she wants to learn to read on her own. Right now she more just repeats me, but good practice.
How far along are you? How big is baby? I’m 21 weeks, 5 days. Baby is as big as.....hmm. Good question. As big as he needs to be!! How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? I’m feeling mostly good, just always tired with sore hips, pelvis, and now low back is joining in the party. No questions today! How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? DD is going to be 3 in July!! We’ve been doing ‘casual potty training’ (that’s what I call it anyways) and she’s taken pretty well to using her little potty. Yesterday she told me she was pooping and I assumed she meant into her pull-up, turned the corner and found her sitting on her potty! It’s amazing how excited I was What's your favorite book to read to your child? I love reading ‘on the night you were born.’ The ended gets me every time. DD is into paw patrol, so we typically end up reading a paw patrol book too. There’s a poem called ‘if I should have a daughter’ by Sarah Kay that I also am a huge fan of reading to DD. She doesn’t always sit for the whole thing, but that’s okay!
How far along are you? How big is baby? 19+4 - Zucchini
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? My left hip is hurting me and I am feeling some pressure downstairs. Other than that and the constant headaches, I'm well.
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 19 months. I am concerned that she will be mad that the new baby is getting all the attention. Also worried becasue at 2 we were going to potty train, but we will just be home with the new baby (RCS) and I won't be able to help for a while. What's your favourite book to read to your child? Hop Pop and Play because she is so cute making all the animal noises.
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? feeling good. I had super bad gas pains last week, so bad at one point i wondered if it was contractions. I just ate a bunch of fiber an all is good now.. i'm staying away from muffins for breakfast as I was lazy and that's all i was eating last week. I'm having another ultrasound today to just confirm the sex is a girl. At my last appt the tech went back and forth since baby was moving so much then said girl with a good picture.. but i just makes me nervous so they are letting me do a sex ultrasound for $50, so I'm bringin my 2 year old along to watch How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 2 1/2. She will be 3 right when baby is born
What's your favorite book to read to your child? We've been going to the library and she is really into all the Pinkalicious books. Pinkalicious, Aqualicoius and, Goldilicious are her favorites.
How far along are you? How big is baby? 21+4, baby is as big as a baseball hat
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? Feeling pretty good in general, getting regular headaches though despite plenty of water.
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 23 months, no questions or concerns currently. I think we might be getting some 2 year molars soon, we shall see. What's your favorite book to read to your child? We really like "There's a monster at the end of this book", and "another monster at the end of this book" featuring Elmo and Grover. Also love Night, Night Forest Friends.
How big is baby? I think the app said the size of a banana?
How are you feeling? Like I got kicked in the vag and did the splits without stretching first. I feel decent aside from the pelvic pain.
Questions or concerns? Nope.
How old is your child/ren? Buddy is 2.5 years old
Any questions or concerns about your current child? In general no, but currently he's sick so that sucks. What's your favorite book to read to your child? We like to read Pout Pout Fish, Giraffes Can't Dance and a dozen different Sandra Boynton books.
Random cute story- Buddy's starting to pat my belly and talk to his little brother. He likes to ask him questions and say hi and tonight he asked me to sing to his little brother.
*Sorry it's all in bold. I have no idea how to fix it.
I actually do have a question now, any other moms have an anterior placenta this time and had a posterior placenta the last time? It sometimes freaks me out how much less I feel compared to my first pregnancy at this point.
Also, for those who have had an anterior placenta, do you remember when you started feeling regular kicks? I feel like DS moved a TON and I felt him all day and night long, and not so much for this one. I'm somewhat crossing my fingers that she will be a chiller baby anyway, but obviously won't know for a while.
@nlc8424 I had an anterior last time and I felt nothing till 21-22 weeks and then everything was muted. Later on the kicks were more obvious but it still wasn’t as frequent. The point it played on my anxiety was down the line when people are stressing over kick counts and movement tests, because I was never close to what they tell you. I just couldn’t feel as much. So depends on how much you mean by “regular”? It always depended on DD’s position and there were times I wouldn’t feel DD for a long time. Certainly not regularly.
This time around I’m shocked by how much I feel and how early! The placenta really does make a huge difference! I’m only 20 weeks and have been feeling off and on movement for weeks, never had that with my first.
@Lcardinal04 yes I definitely feel like everything is muted too. With DS I think I probably felt him like every single hour haha, with this girl, not so much. So I guess I was wondering how that played into kick counts. I'm sure I'll be able to recognize some kind of pattern a bit later on so that I would hopefully know if there was decreased movement. She's also breech right now so everything I feel is really low, and I'm not sure when to start trying to get her to turn around if she doesn't by herself.
@nlc8424 I had an anterior placenta last time. I would keep track of when I felt movement and it was fairly consistent day to day. If I thought I haven't felt anything in awhile I would drink a cold chocolate milk really fast to get baby moving. This time it's so weird to feel the little movements like shifting/turning because it was mostly just big kicks last time
@nlc8424 I have an anterior placenta for the 3rd time. I felt DS around 21 weeks. DD first kick was 19+6. The other day I felt a bunch of kicks at 19+4 but nothing yesterday. I was told not to do kick counts but rather to just see that baby is as active as usual around the same time. DS was sluggish. He had me running in at least 3 times for no movement at all. At my ultrasound on Monday, the baby was kicking and punching and I couldn’t feel a thing. I know it’s easier to say don’t worry, but it is definitely different with an anterior.
AFM: 19+6
DS is 22 months and DD is 8 months. We are likely going to have DS tested for food allergies soon. He never outgrew his cows milk protein allergy and we want to make sure that that is the only thing he is allergic to.
Favorite books: All things NE Patriots, Boston books, The Bear Snores On, Steam Train, Dream Train, Courdrouy Lost and Found, Ferdinand, Harold and the Purple Crayon and What’s a Mitzvah? He’s a big reader.
@nlc8424 Anterior this time, so much less movement. I could feel it on the outside by now, and I'm barely feeling it inside now. You're not alone!
My last was also breech, consistently stubbornly so. I would suggest not worrying until around 30-32 weeks depending on how long your torso is-start doing things earlier if you have a short torso/carry large, because we know they have less space to note. I recommend chiropractor, acupuncture, moxibustion, checking out everything on the spinning babies website, and finally, if you're doing all of that and baby is still stuck breech (not flipping back and forth, but legit always breech) ask about an ECV (external cephalic version-doctor physically turns baby from outside) as early as you can (usually 36-37 weeks). I got unlucky as we had just scheduled my version for 37 weeks, the earliest they would do, and I went into labor at 35+4. I begged them to do the version earlier as I had been threatening pre term for a month, but no such luck. Breech is actually more difficult to delivery via c section as well!

OMG you guys! This morning when I went in to get DS up, he patted my belly and said hi baby. The he told me he loved baby and asked if baby loved him. Sweetest thing ever!
@nlc8424 I have an anterior placenta this time and at 24 w I finally feel movement daily but definitely not all day long. I think my OB starts luck counts around 28 weeks. Last time I had a posterior placenta and I definitely felt way more movement. Kicks are getting stronger and more frequent so I am hopeful that in 4 weeks they will be much more consistent.
@yosemite2018@BostonBaby1@pourmeamocktail@EErin86 thank you all for your input, I appreciate it. I'm certainly not worried about the movement currently, but I wasn't sure what to expect in the coming weeks/months. So that was all helpful info to me!
@pourmeamocktail I think my torso is average? I'm about 5'4" so I don't have a ton of room but I guess I'm thinking right now baby still has quite a bit of room to move around and I'm not sure if there would be a point to trying to get her to turn if she might just turn back around before she runs out of extra room. But I'll keep all of that in mind if she stays stubborn and in breech, thank you!
@nlc8424 Good idea. No real point in trying to turn for quite a while yet for sure-baby still has a lot of room to move! And time too!

This is kinda random, but I’ve spent hours online and am so frustrated!
Anyone have a recommendation for a nice life-like baby doll?
I wanted something that is at least 16”, opens/closes eyes, takes a bottle and pacifier, and can change clothes, i’d prefer an all over silcone/plastic-wipeable body.
It doesn’t seem like this would be hard to find but seriously, non-existent... I’ll give on something eventually, but first wanted to check on other’s input.

@nlc8424 They don’t usually attempt a version until after 37 weeks because it can result in the need for immediate delivery. It’s not common but my DD flipped from head down to transverse during week 37. Even more unusual is she flipped back head down at week 38. Ouch.
Ok ladies, my DD is just over 2.5 years, we transitioned her out of crib early April and she has done great. Along with that and news she is getting a brother she has started a hair pulling habit (her own). Usually at night when I lay her down, but it is now noticeable on her poor little head. She shows no signs of pain when she does this!
Taking her into pediatrician Thursday, but looking for advice. I have calmly asked her not to do it, tried to distract her and even shown her the spot in the mirror. I don’t want to add to her anxiety (assuming that is trigger), but sad I can’t help!
@kbfash that's tough. If it were me, I probably wouldn't focus so much on the behavior and ignore it as much as possible. Could you introduce a doll with hair she can play with while she falls asleep? Or maybe some kind of blanket with tags/yarn that she can pull at if she finds it soothing?
Ugh, dd has been so awful lately. She’s s good kid in general, she just ignores us into we repeat something 4x and use a firm voice, and ignores all the little rules that keep us sane... and helps herself wayy to much.
I broke out a jar and 10 pennies today, everytime she does one of these “nuisance” behaviors I’m taking back a penny. We’ll trade them in for nickels at the end of the day, and work up to quarters to take to the wildlife park and use in the feeding dispensers.
DH is on board, and I told dd this am, so far she is excited and has asked twice “does this mean you ars taking a penny?” (Breakfast is a slow and painful affair).
I also have an awful headache today. I hope I can keep it together long enough to not make things worse. I’m realy hoping the newness means she’ll be good as gold for me today...

How far along are you? How big is baby? 22+2. Baby was 15 ounces at my US a week and a half ago, but I feel like I've grown since then, so who knows. How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? I feel alright. I don't sleep well when not pregnant, so now I'm barely sleeping at all but used to it. Concerns are plenty (AMA, pregnancy-induced HBP, placenta previa), but nothing I can really do about them so I try to let them go! How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 6 years. Love this kid. Also, for all of you still in the 2-3 year stage, things get so much easier/better. I am loving this "school age" thing. He is so independent and cute and amazing. More of my concerns are about how he will handle having a sibling after being an only for so, so long. But we'll deal with that when we get there. What's your favorite book to read to your child? Super into chapter books (especially ones with pictures). Right now we're working on the illustrated first Harry Potter.
How far along are you? How big is baby? 23+1, grapefruit. Will know exactly how many ounces at U/S tomorrow!
How are you feeling? Questions or concerns? I've had some rough moments the past couple weeks, due to too much physical activity. My sciatic pain has gotten really bad when I'm standing for more than five/ten minutes and I'm planning to ask for a referral to PT or a chiro at my appointment tomorrow. I've also had a bunch of BH which I don't think started until my third trimester with #1. I'm pretty active and it's hard for me to just sit and relax, but I am trying my best to take it easy and ask for help when I need it.
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child? 5.5. She has lost three teeth already and is graduating from Pre-K next week! So proud of her, she is going to be the sweetest big sister. What's your favorite book to read to your child? We looove to read in our house! My current favorite to read to her is Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls and her favorites to read to me are books from the Biscuit, Fred and Ted and Berenstain Bears series.

@southernlady07 sorry to hear your sciatic nerve pain has been acting up so much. It's so hard to take it easy! I'm trying to be really conscious of my water intake since I know dehydration sets off prolonged BH for me.
@jhjocelyn I hope you have some luck with getting some behaviors in check. I know it's like a constant balancing act trying to figure out the best strategy for addressing behaviors.
Ugh, DS came down with a new cold and apparently whatever virus it's from includes a fever. I feel so bad for my guy, he was burning up when he was sitting next to me on the couch and dozed off a couple times for a few minutes so H and I decided to put him to bed early. Since his temp was 102.2 he can't go to daycare tomorrow so my mom will watch him. I'm shamelessly hoping that he magically doesn't have a fever tomorrow and is feeling better so he can go back to daycare on Thursday. I thought it might get easier when they get sick as they get older, but no dice so far.
@nlc8424 Thank you! I'm sorry your little guy is sick. My DD was sick so often her first three years or so in daycare, but I think it really builds their immunity up and she is rarely sick now!

I'm feeling tired and sensitive. Can't sleep. But ok.
DD turned 5 in March. She's been whiny and clingy. But I think thats more her stage than about the baby right now.
We've been reading Harry Potter at bedtime. We also love Early Readers cause she wants to learn to read on her own. Right now she more just repeats me, but good practice.
It’s amazing how excited I was
What's your favorite book to read to your child?
I love reading ‘on the night you were born.’ The ended gets me every time. DD is into paw patrol, so we typically end up reading a paw patrol book too. There’s a poem called ‘if I should have a daughter’ by Sarah Kay that I also am a huge fan of reading to DD. She doesn’t always sit for the whole thing, but that’s okay!

21 weeks.
At my last appt the tech went back and forth since baby was moving so much then said girl with a good picture.. but i just makes me nervous so they are letting me do a sex ultrasound for $50, so I'm bringin my 2 year old along to watch
How old is your child/ren? Any questions or concerns about your current child?
2 1/2. She will be 3 right when baby is born
What's your favorite book to read to your child?
We've been going to the library and she is really into all the Pinkalicious books. Pinkalicious, Aqualicoius and, Goldilicious are her favorites.
Thanks ladies!
This time around I’m shocked by how much I feel and how early! The placenta really does make a huge difference! I’m only 20 weeks and have been feeling off and on movement for weeks, never had that with my first.

And DD was breech and I did not try to turn her - did not want to. Research ECV too - I was against it and would not try it.
Taking her into pediatrician Thursday, but looking for advice. I have calmly asked her not to do it, tried to distract her and even shown her the spot in the mirror. I don’t want to add to her anxiety (assuming that is trigger), but sad I can’t help!
