Hey Ladies! DH and I are no strangers to IF as it we conceived our first child on our 3rd FET but we had to have IVF since my tubes showed they were blocked on the HSG. Fast-forward to delivery I asked if there was ANY way that Riley could have helped them unblock with my pregnancy and everyone ensured there was no way we could get pregnant without help. So no Birth control for us! Which brings me to the positive pregnancy tests that I started getting 2 weeks ago around 4/5. I was already late when I started taking these tests because I knew there was NO WAY I was pregnant on my own................WELLLLLLLLLLL I went to the doctor on Friday and......... ITSSSSS TWINSSSSSSS! MIND BLOWN! I am so excited to be joining you ladies!

How far along are you? / EDD 8 Weeks 3 days with TWINS

How are you feeling? I have some pretty wicked morning sickness and have had it for the past couple weeks. If its anything like last time I am sure I will be sick all pregnancy

Any recent/upcoming appointments? Planning to make my first appointment with my OB in a couple weeks but just met with my RE to confirm the pregnancy and he confirmed twins.

Thoughts/Concerns? DH and I are still pretty much in shock since we were told that we couldn’t get pregnant without IVF. So from going from 3 FETs with only one success to a natural pregnancy with twins is a lot to take in at once. I am sure it will set in more but we are just still so shocked.

QOTW: Who have you told so far?! Do you plan to make a big universal announcement (i.e., via social media)? Any thoughts on how you're going to do that? We really haven’t told anyone yet. I showed a few ladies my pregnancy test to see if they thought it was positive but other than that it’s just hubby. We are going to start telling family as we see them with the traveling that we are doing this season.

Bonus ?: The 2nd and 3rd trimester threads have lists with everyone who is in that trimester, along w/their due date. Is this something you'd like to see for our 1st trimester group? If so, I can start to compile all the info and include it in the initial post each week. I think the list is a fun way to keep track of where everyone is. I think it’s a great idea!

How are you feeling?
Still just exhausted!

Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Nothing until Friday of next week.  We have our first US with the OB on May 4th.

Thoughts/Concerns?
I have been "leaking" a lot of white liquid lately. I'm taking progesterone suppositories, so I'm hoping that's what it's from and it will stop once I stop taking those at the end of next week. Anyone else have something similar happening? Is it from the progesterone?

We told our parents and our brothers/sisters-in-law a couple weeks ago b/c they knew about the FET. We told a few close friends this past weekend.  Not sure if we're going to make a big pregnancy announcement, or just kind of tell people as we see them...

icky.  Yesterday and today have been the worst so far for nausea. I'm working from home today because I felt so crumby.

We told my parents and my siblings as well as four close friends.  My mother has proceeded to tell the entire extended family.  We will probably do a social media announcement when we get to the second trimester, but I think my entire hometown will already know by then.  
I struggling with when to tell work.  I'm not up to par lately with the exhaustion and I feel like the appointments are verging on excessive.  I wanted to wait until 12 weeks, but I'm feeling a little guilty and think I might tell at least HR and my boss a little sooner than that....problem is, I'm not confident the word won't get out at that point.

@mag1cbeli3ver I've been dealing with the white discharge ever since I started the suppositories.  I hate those things.  I would rather take a shot any day!!  Originally I was supposed to stop at 10 weeks, I was counting down the days; then at my last appointment, they said 12 weeks.  I'm still hoping that was a mistake, so I'm going to confirm Friday.

@ChristenMA83 I am supposed to stop at 10 weeks (well, 9 weeks+6),which is next Friday for me.  I cannot wait! I hope they made a mistake with you and get to stop at 10 weeks too!

How are you feeling? Great! It's kind of concerning when I hear people having symptoms. I do have nasty night sweats though.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? Thursday, April 26. 

Thoughts/Concerns? Just want to hear/see the heart beat. Because I dont have any symptoms I think the worse (what if the baby stop growing etc.)

We told our immediate families and I told my few coworkers (mostly people who have gone/going through IF) and a few friends. I'm putting it on record that I'm jealous (insanely so) that y'all get to come off progesterone at 10 or 12 weeks, I have to wait til 14. Sigh

When we told my family, I put the shirt on ds and had him show it to his grandparents while I secretly filmed their reactions.

How are you feeling?
Aside from a terrible cough, I'm feeling pretty good. My nausea is better thankfully. Last week was really rough. We left for vacation Tuesday night and I was dry heaving all day. I think our vacation cured me because I've been feeling much better!

Any recent/upcoming appointments?
We have our first OB appointment tomorrow and ultrasound / NT scan. Can't wait to see out little bean again. Praying that all of tests give us happy results.

Definitely showing. A LOT. I'm in all maternity pants and am in hiding. If anyone saw me, they'd know I was pregnant. Anyone else showing?

Hi everyone, don't know if I start here or one of the other boards. I see other posts for 1st trimester...is it just a weekly check in?

How far along are you? / EDD?
6week, 3days. 12/16/18

How are you feeling?
I am feeling ok, although last week I had 2 days where I barely ate anything...just looking at food was making me nauseous. 
I get very tired by end of day and just want my bed.

Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Next week I go in for another US with my RE. She told me wait until week 10 before I start seeing a OB, but I think that might be too far along. 

Thoughts/Concerns?
This might be TMI, but I was told by RE it's okay to resume sex...just scarier the contractions will do something to baby...anyone of you had this issue?

My husband, mom and I had to tell my boss. I work in medicine and was going to be exposed to xrays. But she told half of my team...now I feel guilty some know and some dont....
No big announcements, I am a very private person and dont like much attention.

@smittenkitten123 Sex will not hurt the baby. Some women find that pregnant sex is way better than other times. I know it's scary, just ease into it. You cannot cause a MC. 

@mechelita44 I woke up yesterday to find that my belly popped. I couldn't suck it in even if I wanted. It's crazy that so little of it is actually baby and all of it moving parts and bloat. I blame the progesterone.

@smittenkitten123 we see the RE through 10 weeks then the OB at 12 weeks.  So transitioning at 10 weeks sounds right if you're still having appointments with RE.

@smittenkitten123 Welcome! I will add your info to the intro post. We usually have a new thread each week just to check-in with everyone and give any updates, especially with appointments and such. I have my first appointment with the OB at 9 weeks 6 days, so I think around week 10 is pretty normal. I graduated from my RE after my 7 weeks 3 days US.

Hi ladies!!  I posted an intro a few minutes ago but thought I'd check in here as well to get chatting.  We haven't told anyone yet and won't be for at least a few weeks so I'm going crazy keeping it to myself!!

How are you feeling?

Nauseous; intermittent cramping and pulling, sore lower back and hips; super tired and a bit moody/emotional; sore boobs!

Any recent/upcoming appointments?

Just had my first blood draw this morning and waiting for results.  Will more than likely have another draw on Friday or possibly an early ultrasound (the nurse wasn't sure which it will depend on my numbers)

Thoughts/Concerns?

I think typical early first trimester worries - hoping it will stick; wanting the blood result numbers to be good (and continue to go up!).  Focusing on every twinge and feeling!!

We haven't told anyone yet!!  Waiting until about the 7 or 8 week mark to tell our parents and immediate family (including close friends).  Then we will probably do a social media announcement at the 12/13 week mark.  My SIL is pregnant with her first and is due in August so we thought a cute way to tell her and her husband (and my in-laws) would be to give her a baby onsie that says "I may be small but I'm going to be a BIG cousin! and then our due date.  We haven't decided on how to tell my parents and brothers yet!

Still tired and often nauseous.  I threw up before bed last night without a lot of warning.

I had an ultrasound today and saw my perfect little bean measuring at 10 weeks 5 days.  I'm starting to feel like this really may be real.

Thoughts/Concerns?
The usual worries about this not working out but feeling more positive as each week goes by.

We've told my mom and my brother and my husband has told his best friend.  Other than that, we've kept it quiet.  I'm not sure if we're going to do a social media announcement, but if we do, it won't be until mid 2nd trimester.

Got my first beta results back and they are 521 :-) Nurse said everything looked great, my progesterone is at 10.2 which they are happy with and I go for another blood test and my first ultra sound on Friday!  I'm not sure when I ovulated exactly but based on baby dance timing and my last period I believe I am about 4 weeks 6 days today!  Still in shock!!

For those of you in limbo between regular clothes and maternity, I bought a belly band at target last night, you get to wear your regular pants, unbuttoned and it holds them up.  I was skeptical since I normally wear a size 14 or 16 and thought this might only work for smaller women, but it's working great, super comfortable and not obvious unless you wear a tight shirt over it.

@ilky I'm there with you.  I was up around 7lbs when we did our transfer due to the ivf stims and bloat and I'm up another 3 from there.    My pants weren't going to make it on their own.  Really trying to monitor my weight in this first trimester.

I've been to scared to start posting here... but I think waiting won't change the outcome... so here I am

Pretty good. My only symptom is sore boobs

Any recent/upcoming appointments?
Had one today. HB was good at 167. But embryo measured 4 days behind. The NP who did my US told me that she's not worried because she could see all the developmental things you're suppose to see at 8w. But it was just a little small. But to be sure, she wants me back there next week.

Thoughts/Concerns?
After all I've been thru, I'm afraid the embryo will stop growing and this pregnancy will end... But I'm trying to stay optimistic. 

Questions:
If any of your embryos measured few days behind at this point, when did the embryo catch up?

@prudence9-2 Welcome to the board! We are glad to have you! I'm sorry you've gone through a lot already and I know it's hard to stay positive. I struggle with it a lot myself. My poor DH has to deal with so many doubts and emotions from me, I feel bad for him! But he's a trooper and the ladies on here are wonderful as well! Hopefully we can be a great support system for you.

Hi ladies!

So, my 7w1d appointment went very well and we heard the heart beat! It was amazing and very emotional. Baby measured perfectly and the HB was 160. Finally, its sinking in and I feel much better. 

@prudence9-2 welcome! I hope it will all be fine and you'll have your baby in your arms in December

@prudence9-2 getting closer- 7 more weeks eeek. I have read about other ladies having a little slower growing bean that caught up by the 10-12th week. Could honestly be the measurements too... I had my cervix measured a couple times and once it was way short and the other tech found that is was longer than the first. Thinking about you.

@llky congrats on the strong heartbeat and great ultrasound!  I be that is a huge relief!  How often will you be going in for appointments?  I hope your next one goes just as well!

Weird question but did they give you a pic of the ultrasound after when its this early?  I have my first one tomorrow and I wasn't sure if they give you a screenshot only at the later appointments or if they provide you with images even early on - I'd love to have a little keepsake from our first one!
