@sliztee (not kidding). I mean, I like my core group of friends, but other than that I am not that happy outgoing person that is friends with everyone. I am the epitome of a stuck up NYC B wearing a (chic as shit) black outfit, sunglasses and ignoring everyone.
I do 99% of the cooking so H does 99% of the dishes, and then I point out the 5+ things he missed and put them away/clean them myself or make him do it because I legitimately don't understand how the man can overlook pans on the stove or random food canisters sitting on the counter... He keeps telling me I should fire him from the job
My FFFC? I snissed (coussed?) myself so many times the other
day I just started changing into previously worn but not peed in underwear that
was waiting for laundry. I gave up and didn't want to blow through 5 pairs in
one day.
My husband is generally great at helping with house stuff. We cook together, we clean together. He does a lot of the grocery shopping and errands because he works from home and basically can do whatever he wants.... With that being said, every morning he makes eggs for breakfast and leaves the dirty skillet on the stove. It drives me insane more than anything else and I don't know why. It's a nonstick skillet so a drop of soap, a couple swooshes with the sponge, rinse and put it away. I don't know why that's difficult.
I just lied in an email about how I couldn't get something done until Monday, even though I'm sitting here doing nothing and could very easily get it done.
Ah, ok. No I didn’t refer to Z by name before he was born. We didn’t tell anyone his name until he was here except for family and we’ll do the same this time. I referred to him as “your brother” to E and occasionally by name to H, but I usually just called him He. Lol
I don't even read the baby names thread. I'm not going to go in there and tell someone I hate the name they're thinking of (not that they'd care about my opinion anyways). I don't want to see a name I like and then feel like I can't use it because it would be stealing. And I'm not going to post our name list (if we had one) just so people can add more opinions and overcomplicate my thought process even more. To me, baby naming is not a group think kind of project. It's for me and DH to decide and everyone else to deal with.
@tinattt23 I love reading the names thread because I like to see other people's ideas. But I probably wouldn't post our name ideas. I like what I like and unless someone brings up a blatantly obvious reason not to use a name, I would end up still using it if it meant that much to me.
I'm confident posting in the names thread because I'm confident in our choices. We just haven't settled on one yet.

@tinattt23 I read the baby names thread in hope that it might give me some inspiration! Ever since we found out it’s a boy, we have not a single name on our short list. Apparently we used the one boy name that we both liked on DS, and now we’ve got nothing!
I like to see other people's name choices but I mainly check the thread to make sure no one's grabbed the name I want for a girl if we have one lol which is also why I don't plan to share until birth or shortly before
@krzyriver I think that a lot! lol My July 16 group was the "mean girls" it was so much snark, all the time. (Before they went to fb) So this is a big change for me!
Finally done with meetings! I like the names thread to see how others are thinking. I'm a super indecisive person and it helps me to see how others are approaching and also to get some thoughts on where my head is at. But once we pick a name we definitely won't be referring to her by that name to the public.
Regarding the names thread- I have no problem discussing names with people who are asking for thoughts (and when my thoughts are negative, I try to keep them to myself- because nobody needs to know my brother named his dog that.).

Fffc, I swore I’d never be this person but I might skip my cousins wedding because she told me my kid isn’t welcome. 1. Other kids are invited so just “small children” of which mine is literally the only one in that category 2. She didn’t make it explicit until I asked and she didn’t get back to me until after I spent $42 on a damn Etsy dress for my 3 year old that isn’t returnable and 3. It’s a fucking stars wars themed wedding at 4 on a Friday and it’s no kids? I’m sorry I didn’t intuit that?
Meanwhile I just posted in another O18 thread that I like no kid weddings. Which I still do, but this one was totally miscommunicated. I kinda want to be like “sorry I can’t get a sitter and can’t come” but not interested in creating drama on my cousins wedding day so I guess I’ll suck it up and go by myself and leave Dh and dd at home. I can’t even drink! but I also don’t want to waste the other Etsy dress I bought for myself!
@hannaht8516 my H does the same when he makes eggs as he does it at least a couple times a week. Also the same with whatever he eats said eggs out of. Not even rinsed.
I may or may not be abusing the "pregnant lady" excuse at this bachelorette party I'm at... "Oh let's not walk, my back hurts..." That kinda stuff. I don't like heavy drinking and bar hopping and parties and staying up late normally, so it's almost nice to be pregnant and have a legit excuse for being a lame ass party pooper!
As far as baby names, I’m totally cool with people picking a name, but I hate when they buy a bunch of stuff with that name and talk about their unborn kid by name. I think you should wait to meet the kid.
FFC...This pregnancy my house looks like shit and IDGAF. Before DS i was an OCD cleaner, and after him I relaxed, but still stayed on top of stuff. Now pregnant+full time teacher+ Mom of 2.5 year old = no time and too damn tired. DH does all the cooking, tonight he asked me to cook rice and I screwed that up.
@sammierose464 I ordered one of those right when we found out we were pregnant with DS (without the name). I planned on using it in my weekly bump pictures and then for weekly/monthly baby pictures. I think I made it to 10 weeks before it started collecting dust.
I figured I'd be the kind of person to take bump pics every week... Nope. Maybe when this starts to look more like a bump and less like I just got fat.
@sammierose464 When I was pregnant with Ds, I totally did. I think starting with week 9. (I had just lost a ton of weight, so it was easy to tell quickly. I along didn't show anyone lol Just took them for the baby book.) This time we're going on week 13 and I still don't feel I lool pregnant, just fat. So zero pictures have been taken. Maybe when I'm further along, and look pregnant. *shrug*
@sawyerrichardson yeah me either. I mean, that’s their name. They have a name and that’s what it is. Why not use it? Kinda weird not to actually, IMO.

Also I think the reason it annoys me has a lot to do with me still being unbelievably salty about SIL saying “I mean, it wasn’t a real baby” when we lost our first pregnancy. Pretty much anything that anyone says now that implies that my baby isn’t “real” makes me rage. Just reminds me of feeling like my loss was dismissed and my baby didn’t matter. Obviously that’s me projecting my issues onto this totally unrelated thing though, I absolutely don’t hold it against anyone here who thinks it’s weird. It’s ok for us to disagree about innocuous shit like this. I’m making it weird and heavy but I just wanted to let you know why I’m such a prickly weirdo about it.

@DunkinDecaf I’m sorry you’re SIL is an insensitive bitch. A baby is a baby from day 1. I think part of the reason it bugs me is actually anxiety centered. I’m always worried I’ll be in the .001% that was told the wrong sex. We have a very feminine last name so we prefer to avoid gender neutral names.
@DunkinDecaf I agree with @cdepperschmidt a baby is a baby from day one of conception, in my opinion, and in no way do I think the baby is any less of a baby before it’s born. I also always think, what if they have the sex wrong and they are going around calling the baby Tom and it’s a girl (I know nowadays we can be almost 100% sure but there is still a chance I guess)? Also, I think the reason it bugs me is because I had a coworker one time who named her baby Piper and would go around talking about Piper and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out where Piper worked! Then come to find out she was talking about her baby and I had spent a few days thinking I had missed someone new starting. I don’t think it bothers me as much when people tell me they have named the baby Piper and then refer to Piper, but to just assume I know who you are talking about when I haven’t met that person yet confuses me I guess.
@HoosOnFirst that's so weird! I'll be going to a Star Wars themed wedding on a Friday at 4 pm at the end of May...is this just a weird coincidence?? Also, my son is 2 and he wasn't on the invite so I assumed it was a kid-free wedding.
It annoys me that people are annoyed by moms using baby names before delivery. I’m a fricken powder keg today and I blame pregnancy hormones.

I hear you! I'm sorry about the backstory with SIL, I've had a similar experience and know that some words just don't fade. As for names i held out with my first and now when people do I'm kind of like okay, I'll hold my breath.... with my second and this babe we are confident in the name and know we will use it. We don't really do names or monograms on things so that risk is out, and if we change our minds, I think everyone will be fine.
