STM and Beyond Check-In w/o 4/15

Sorry for posting this on Sunday, but it looks like it was skipped last week and I'm starting this for selfish reasons.

How far along are you? How big is baby?

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 5w4d, apple seed

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days? Hmm, hard to say. He's still really into his balls and screwing lids off of spice containers. Oh, and yesterday he got into the cupboard and dumped our entire box of oatmeal, then helped himself to a Girl Scout cookie.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past? Feeling fine, zero symptoms except for some pain when nursing, which leads me to my question (see below). Pretty much everything is the same as last time, except that maybe I'm less bloated, my boobs don't hurt generally, and I'm not getting near the acne I had the first time around. So it's a girl? ;)

R/R/Q: Rave: the therapy referral for my son came super fast, and we have his first appointment this Thursday! I'm eager to get him started.

Here's the question I started this whole thread for! Any moms still BF? I'm just trying to figure out our long term goals. A currently nurses on wake and before bed, which works great for us. I initially planned on BF him until 2 years, but Baby #2 is due shortly before his second birthday. So either I could wean him completely like...right before the baby comes. Which sort of would be dumb. Or I could try weaning him right after the baby arrives, which may be stressful for him. I really don't want to tandem nurse, and again -- I hadn't planned on nursing beyond 2 years. Blah. Insights, anyone?

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? I really want to get us started on a better foot sleepwise. I know a whole lot more about how babies sleep and that they need to go down frequently. I really don't want to have to do the complex jiggle sequence for months like I did the first time around. But I don't know. I'm still forming my plan of attack. I ordered Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby and hope it will provide me with some strategies, too.

  • I nursed my first until her second birthday, which happened to be about 20 weeks along with #2. I was glad I stopped when I did so that she didn’t have any jealousy issues about the baby coming and taking that from her, which I’d worry about if you stop too close to baby, y’know? Your decision is harder, but I guess we leaned toward making as many transitions as early as possible, so that the new addition wasn’t as jarring for DD, so I guess I’d lean toward stopping sooner rather than later.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 5w6d, I guess about the size of an appleseed

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days? DD is reading like a maniac, which still blows my mind. She also tied her loose tooth to a door and slammed it the other day, so she’s got more guts than I’ve ever had. Of course, she slammed it the wrong way so she’s still got the tooth, but she didn’t know that.

DS has started coloring with more purpose, and actually drawing things and letters instead of just scribbling.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?  I feel like this has been so much worse than my other pregnancies. The cramps are worse and my stomach is so sensitive. DH thinks I’ve just forgotten what it was like.

    R/R/Q:

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?  last time we used cloth diapers. We’re using sposies this time, fuck it.

  • @runrinserepeat Hahaha I totally get the temptation there. A is still in cloth and the only thing keeping me from switching over to disposable is the $$$ I invested. It hasn’t been an awful experience. I’m just so lazy with washing.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 5+3 I think. As tall as the M on an M&M

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days? He is finally starting to talk more which is fun (his speech is delayed slightly). He is becoming such a little person.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past? I feel like my symptoms for early pregnancy are coming different than last time. Last time my biggest clue was my boobs. This time like no boob pain but a lot more cramping.

R/R/Q: my son goes to an in home daycare. Talking to the lady on Friday she was telling me about her 3 grandkids that are coming this summer and adding into daycare. I got nervous that with her license she was going to not have any space for the new baby when it is time. I talked to my husband and at pick up I told her I'm expecting. While I never planned to tell her this early she seemed nervous that she wouldn't have space and wasn't very excited for us. It was kind of a let down. I think she was just preoccupied with figuring it all out when I told her but I at least expected some excitement.

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? My biggest focus is going to be not putting so much pressure on myself. I was really hard on myself when I had no supply. I want to give myself some grace. Also my husband and I both got up for every feeding for the first 5 weeks. Granted the first few weeks I was trying to pump but after that my son was FF there was no reason for both of us to be up!
  • @PensiveCrayon we sold our stash when we switched DS to sposies (his solid poop just not okay), so we already recouped most of the cost. I have no regrets lol

  • @PensiveCrayon we're still nursing; Nugget will be 2 years at the end of this month. I'm definitely at the point where I don't mind if and when she decides to stop, but I haven't decided whether I'll push her to wean myself. I don't relish the thought of tandem nursing, but then, I didn't relish the thought of breastfeeding a toddler either and that worked out okay, you know? We'll see. If this pregnancy is anything like the last, the night nursing cuddles won't be nearly as welcome in a few months, so I might change my mind.
  • How far along are you? How big is baby?

    5 weeks 1 day
What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
She’s walking all over the place which is cool. I love seeing her get more and more independent. Now she can get anywhere she wants as long as there’s no doors involved.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I feel pretty good. Probably the most noticeable thing is the fatigue. I’m not sure I was this tired with my first, but maybe I just forgot.

    R/R/Q:
I have to go to the grocery store. Bleh. There needs to be pregnancy fairies who do all the work so we can just sleep all the time.

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?

One thing I’m gonna have to learn to do is put the baby down. I spent a lot of time just holding a sleeping baby like all day last time around. She wouldn’t sleep as well when I put her somewhere else, or maybe I was just anxious she wouldn’t, so I just constantly held her. With a two year old hanging around that’s just not gonna fly. I never got the hang of baby wearing but maybe I’ll try that again.

@PensiveCrayon It’s not something I have to deal with, but my instinct would be to not have those two big transitions happening simultaneously. I think I would try to wean at least a few weeks before baby gets here so the two events are not linked in his mind.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 6+4, and very small (but getting bigger!). Time is currently flying... For now.

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days? She's blowing me away with her verbal skills these days. She's been great vocab-wise since she started talking, but she's really getting almost conversational, and it's fun to hear her talk about the things she's learning at school (sanitation workers "take a garbage out") that are happening in her little imagination ("I see puppy down dere! Giraffe down dere too! Snake down dere too! Dino down dere!").

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past? So far so good. I wasn't super symptomatic on my first trimester last time, either, so hopefully it stays this way. It does feel like it's passing faster; I think I've got a little less anxiety this time around, so things aren't dragging as much.

R/R/Q: Frustrated that Nugget's daycare isn't moving her up to the 2yo class until June (they don't have space in the room) because I think it would be really helpful for her social development to get out of the room full of itty-bitties (15-24 mos, but they're heavy on the younger tots right now). Delighted that she's taken so strongly to the new teacher in the room, who took over when the favorite went on maternity leave. No questions at the moment.

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? Nothing huge. We'll probably introduce a bottle earlier just so we don't go through another first month at daycare where the child refuses to eat, I suppose. Honestly, though, I figure that things will probably end up different no matter what we plan because the new baby will be different and have a different temperament.

I’ve tandem nursed and will this time around too. I wouldn’t do any weaning right before or after. Often that can make them really jealous. I typically let mine naturally wean, and will be encouraging him to wean this summer after he turns two. We’ll see.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby? Unsure, as my cycles are irregular. I’m guessing 4w6d

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
ADD(17)- Just finished her biology course ahead of schedule. She’s getting closer to graduation and becoming a CPM!

DD(9)- Her drawing and music skills blow me away. It’s a weird feeling watching her slowly transition to a tween.

DD (6)- This child is a super genius and her love of learning is crazy!

DS (4)-  He’s having his first sleep over tonight! I may sob the whole time.

DS(22mo)- He keeps ripping off his diaper, so I think potty learning is coming!
How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I have zero symptoms, with the exception of some breast pain while DS nurses.
    R/R/Q: I don’t know these abbreviations. Lol

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? Nothing. We’re at a happy place with our minimalistic baby needs, home birth, etc.

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
She just has the funniest personality. She’ll ramble on about something and then double over in the most exaggerated laughter with her hands over her mouth. She’ll holler at the dogs to sit down, get out or stop crying...she gets so bossy with them.  She also know what belongs to who around the house.  Dad's sunglasses, water cup, shirts, she'll say "this is Daddy's!"  And she knows the red collar belongs to Husker and the blue one is Herbie's.  Just the small things she catches on to amazes me!
How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I’ve been feeling pretty ok thus far. With DD, my boobs were so incredibly sore and this time they’re just twingey. Only small bouts of nausea this time, but I’ve been cramping ever since my BFP and Mama no likey.
    R/R/Q:
**TW** I'm just all kinds of anxious since my loss in February.  I hold my breath every time I wipe because I'm just expecting to see blood.  PGAL brain sucks balls, y'all. **END TW**
GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
We started cloth when DD was 8 months (after we ran out of all of our gifted sposies and we got tired of spending money on them). I’m excited to actually use cloth during the newborn stage! Maybe I’ll regret that decision when I’m in the thick of newborn shits and so much laundry.  :D

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
He's learning so much and just blows me away. He's super talkative and repeats things so well. He's also great at "puzzle" solving, so figuring out how to do what he wants to do even if it's new and difficult.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
Definitely different. I didn't know until 7.5 weeks with DS, but looking back I was constantly sleeping unless I was at work or eating dinner. And my nipples hurt SO BAD!! This time I've had some exhausted days, trouble sleeping, and nausea, but definitely a bit different.

    R/R/Q:

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
I plan to stick with cloth diapers. It was hard with DS because we didn't have our own washer and dryer in the early months, and daycare wouldn't do cloth. This time around our new daycare (provided they'll have a spot) will do cloth! Otherwise, probably not much different.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I don’t feel any symptoms beyond random bouts of nausea in the middle of the night, breast tenderness and cramping off and on.

    R/R/Q:

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
Not worry my whole pregnancy and try to just live my life as normally as possible. I was terrified through my entire first pregnancy and super rigid because of it. I’d rather relax and enjoy this one.
  • How far along are you? How big is baby?

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
DS1 (4) is so kind to others, he goes out of his way in preschool and it melts me.

DS2 (2) has the most amazing drop in his allergies, and is able to have peanut butter again! I ugly cried giving him PB crackers.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
SO sick, sore boobs. Achy. Which I had both times. My anxiety is through the roof over, which didn’t happen as bad with the others.

    R/R/Q:

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
take care of ME. Both pregnancies were high risk, and stressful for different reasons. I stopped doing anything for myself. I will do better about selfcare this time.

    6 weeks 2 days. Blueberries

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
DS (8) is getting ready to crossover in cubscouts in 2 weeks. We're camping. With a 2 y/o. It'll be fun!
DD (2) has been behind in speech but made a huge leap a few months ago.. and is picking up new words everyday! Its so exciting to finally hear her expressing herself instead of just crying.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I am so tired.. I feel like that symptom outweighs all the rest because its all I can think about lol. So far, pretty typical to previous pregnancies.

    R/R/Q:

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
I had trouble breastfeeding both previous kids, first due to NICU and 2nd due to latch issues.. and ended up with low supply both times. It was better with DD but we still ended up supplementing. Hoping it goes better this time! Plan to pump from day 1 to help increase supply. I think I'd rather have too much than not enough, if my body gets there.

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days? He's 2 1/2 and his imagination is my favorite! I live hearing him play by himself; it's so sweet!

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past? i feel like poop. So tired and so nauseated. My last pregnancy I was tired and gaggy, but not nearly this sick to my stomach.

R/R/Q: We have a vacation planned for the end of next month in San Francisco. I'll be right at 12 weeks, so I'm praying I'm feeling better and more energetic by then!

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? I had trouble producing last time, so I'm going into this knowing that I'm going to supplement with formula right off the bat. Also, I'm considering a vbac, but I am going to talk to my doctor. Also, I plan to not gain 8,000 lbs.  :D

It's bloat. It can look real, and you probably will show sooner than your first, but baby is hidden behind the pubic bone until I think 12-13 weeks (if I remember correctly), so it's not a true "baby bump".

He's 4.5 so he's learning so much right now.  Starting to learn how to sound out words and do basic math.  He cracks me up all the time with the stuff that comes out of his mouth.  He likes to tell "jokes" that he makes up and that actually make no sense but they're so terrible I have to laugh.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
Pretty normal besides sore boobs.  I was pretty nauseous at this point in previous pregnancies so that has me a little nervous.  I don't why I think that would be reassuring though since I was nauseous with my loss and that turned out to not be a "good sign" like everyone says.

Get baby to take a bottle so that I'm not the only one that can feed him/her.  Get them to sleep in a crib/sleep train earlier than 20 months.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past? Less nauseous than last time, and no headaches like last time. Also I’m MUCH more emotional this time and much more irritable.

DS is in love with water. We went to the Ocean in January and February and he loved it. We may be going again next weekend too so I'm sure he will be excited. Besides that he has one of those flimsy pools and he likes to take his bucket scoop the water out and water the lawn. Or of course play with the hose too.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
Alright. Some days I have no MS at all and I'm feeling great and others I have it all. Which makes me miss the good days lol

Bleh. It's Monday and I'll be working till 6:30 then we have dinner plans. Ready for this day to be over already.

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
Hmmm. Maybe walk more and stay more active. So far I've been getting at least 10,000 steps each day if that means anything. When I go into labor though, I don't think I'm going to tell some people on my side, in this case my mom and grandma (We're not super close like that), because last time they came and sat in my labor room all day. When it came time to actually push though the Nurses asked me who I wanted in the room and I told them just DH, which I told my mom and grandma, prior but with the nurses help they left the room finally. I know it's silly and some people want their moms in the room, but my mom is not helpful. She made me feel horrible over getting an epidural (and still does). If she was a good sport then it would be different.

Sigh I should of put that under R/R/Q  :(

    Baby #2 Due December 4

  • @sheshae we ended up not telling anyone (except a couple people I worked with so they could cover my shift) when I was in labor. It was more accidental, but I preferred it. I'd like to do the same, but obviously someone will have to know this time since we'll need a babysitter for DS. And then we plan to only have DS come in first so he can meet baby before anyone else. My ILs can just suck it up and deal with it, lol.
    DS1 born 2/28/16
    DS2 due 12/12/18

  • How far along are you? How big is baby?
6 weeks and 3 days - sweet pea!

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
DD is 2 and 2 months and she's learning her letters! It's been so fun to watch her play with her letter puzzle and make the connections. (Though...I do slightly regret teaching her some jokey 'this letter stands for that' things to help her remember because she certainly does remember that F is for fart and P is for poop! Whoops!)

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
Today I'm feeling the best I've felt in a couple of days, which is terrifying my PGAL brain, but whatever, I just need to be appreciative. Just very mild waves of nausea and fatigue. This pregnancy feels different than any of them in the sense that I got a positive test and some symptoms WAY earlier (first positive test at 3 weeks 1 day, which is like, *much* sooner than my others.) I don't have as many aversions so far and my sense of smell is not so bad that I need to change deodorant or get unscented trash bags like in the past, but that may have happened closer to 7-8 weeks, so that may still be coming.

    R/R/Q:
Rave: I mentioned elsewhere, but DD peed on the potty for the first time this weekend, which is great, and she seems excited about going on the potty again (though we haven't had any successes after that first one.) I'm just glad she's excited because her best friend at school is really struggling with potty training and it made her very anti lately. We're ordering that Oh Crap Potty Training book and going to start in earnest in May. (That is a rant and a rave? I'm kind of terrified but have to just bite the bullet.)

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
Pregnancy wise, I want to somehow find a way to remain active and in a fairly good mood this pregnancy. With my pregnancy with DD I was so miserable I just wanted to sleep as much as possible and veg out. This time, with a kiddo, I still want to do fun things with her. Oh, and I want to be nicer to my husband. I was a major jerk the first time around and during my MMC I still feel bad about it.

Newborn period wise, my husband will not be working 80 hour weeks this time, which will help. And he gets 4 weeks paternity leave this time (hallelujah!) Also, I will be seeing my endocrinologist right away to hopefully prevent the postpartum thyroiditis I had last time (which caused PPA and then PPD and basically ruined my experience of the newborn period.) Oh, I am really hoping this baby likes baby wearing! My DD HATED it. Every kind. I tried them all. She just does not enjoy being confined, so it was a no go. But with this one, I'm really hoping it works out, for the bonding, of course, but mostly the convenience of actually being able to get things done and chasing after my crazy toddler.
  • How far along are you? How big is baby? 5 weeks 4 days, apple seed

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
My almost 6 year old daughter is in kindergarten and learning SO much on a daily basis. It's amazing to watch. My 3 year old son is really developing into his own little person and has so many of his own interests. I love to see my son and daughters similarities and differences.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I am feeling pretty good. The nausea/heartburn comes and goes. This pregnancy so far seems just like the last two.

    R/R/Q:
My son is 100% out of diapers! (Just in time to start buying more in 9 short months lol)

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? This time I want to enjoy the days more, instead of wishing them away to "easier" days. This is our last, so I just want to be able to live in the moment and take things as they come instead of hurrying the days along.

  • Hey guys! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I will hopefully be catching up with everything I've missed, so don't mind my millions of posts today ;) (P.S. Mobile bumping sucks!)
@PensiveCrayon - yay for getting that referral so quickly!
@runrinserepeat LOL at your DD! That does take some guts to do that to try to get a tooth out!
@mc@mckcak23 I worry about the same thing happening with daycare of me as well! We currently use an in-home daycare. It is a friend of my Mom's so we actually had a little pull getting the spot that we have. But most days of the week she is full. She has pretty much all the other kids starting preschool in the fall, so I'm hoping that means she will have room for an extra one for this baby, but I worry that she won't and I will have to find another option :disappointed:

How far along are you? How big is baby?
6 weeks, 4 day; the size of a ladybug

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
He is giving his stuffed animals hugs all the time :) And we are doing swim classes with him once a week and he loves getting dipped underwater

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
I would say I'm feeling pretty similar to last time (if I remember it all that well). Not too much as far as symptoms go. Although, yesterday I did have to leave the room when DH was cooking dinner because I could not stand the smell (he was cooking falafel)

    R/R/Q:
This is a question about my DS. He is 14 months old. I am getting concerned because he is not walking or talking at all yet. I know they say that it can be 18 months before they walk. I think that he is just simply lazy, but I also don't want to brush off a problem as laziness. It did take him a little longer before he crawled too. He is able to stand on his own, but he won't do it. And I definitely think he can walk (he pushes his push walker all over the house all the time), but he just doesn't want to.
As far as talking goes, he doesn't even say "Mama" or "Dada." It just started sounding like he is saying "Hi" now, but it's not really directed at anything either. He will just randomly start saying "Hi" and waving.
Should I be concerned or just keep waiting it out?

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?
I definitely want to try BFing longer this time. I BF until DS was about 8 months old. I stopped because my supply dropped so much, but I also think that's because I started slacking a lot with pumping. It just got so hard to pump at work that I was down to pumping once a day (twice if I was lucky). This time I want to try to get to a full year before I stop (formula is soooo expensive!)

  • @mittenlove86 I would definitely mention your concerns to the doctor at his 15-month appointment. How do they evaluate milestones? I always obsess over the Ages and Stages stuff, so it might be worth doing a scoring now to see where he falls on other categories.

  • @mittenlove86 Echoing @PensiveCrayon I would definitely bring up your concerns at the 15 month appointment. Probably nothing to worry about, every kid develops differently, but it's always good to be proactive just in case! Also, are there any extenuating circumstances? My DD had chronic fluid in her ears that wouldn't go away after ear infections and once we went to an ear nose and throat specialist and they test her, she had a 40% hearing loss from the fluid! It was definitely impacting her balance and delayed her a bit in walking - the second she got tubes it she started walking easily, where before she was tipping over often from balance issues. Also, how many other kids your kiddo's age are there are at your in home daycare? With our DD her language skills exploded once she was around peers more her age. (We transferred from a daycare where she was the only kid her age to one where she had a whole little class full of her peers and it really helped!) Good luck!
  • @mittenlove86 you're still well within developmental guidelines for walking. Both of my kids waited until 14-15 months to start walking. My daughter just took a little longer to figure it out, my son was proficient enough at crawling that he never really had the motivation to try to walk. He was seriously running everywhere about a week after he started walking, and he hasn't really stopped. I'd mention it with the pedi if you're still concerned, but I believe you have until 18 months before it's a real problem.

My poor officemate, her kid didn't start walking until she was 2 years old. They did have her evaluated and she did PT, but after working with her for a few months, the PT nurse was all, "physically she should be able to. She just doesn't want to". And then one day, she wanted to. Kids can be so stubborn sometimes.

  •  How far along are you? How big is baby? 6w5d. Baby is the size of a sweet pea

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days? DD (13 months) just started walking about 2 weeks ago, and it's been so much fun watching her strut around!

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past? I'm feeling ok for the most part. I feel like my symptoms hit me earlier this time around, and I definitely knew I was pregnant a lot sooner than before.

R/R/Q: Anyone experience spotting in any pregnancies? I've been having some light brown spotting on and off for the past week which I didn't have with DD. My doc says it's nothing to worry about but its really starting to mess with my head.

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around? I would definitely approach feeding solids differently this time. I think I kept DD on purees for too long, and its was stressful making the transition to real food. She's a good eater and she self-feeds some, but I still spoon feed her. I want to push self feeding more with baby #2.

  • @gracie4400 I spotted for a full week from the day after my BFP. Totally messed with my head. We were on vacation, so I actually bought some FRERs and took them every few days to make sure the line was still there and getting darker. Hope it lets up soon! <3

  • How far along are you? How big is baby?
4w 6d, almost an appleseed! I remember my husband and I kind of marveling at this week’s size comparison last time around. Going from a poppyseed to an appleseed is a huge leap in size.

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?
He’s 20mo now. We potty trained last month and it was going great, but now we’re far from home on vacation and I’m worried he’s regressing! Fingers crossed it clicks again.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?
Same as last time, no morning sickness, which I appreciate greatly. Just exhausted and low appetite. I hurt my back badly this weekend but I don’t think I can blame that on the baby :-)

GTKY: What do you want to do differently this time around?

Not too much differently... like @maureenmce I’m hoping I can get baby #2 to cooperate with a sling or baby carrier. My son wouldn’t have it but I could use the free hands this time around.

  • How far along are you? How big is baby?

I am 6 week 2 Days. The baby is the size of a pea.

What cool thing is your outside baby (or babies) doing these days?

My daughter is 2.5 years old. She is definitely hitting terrible twos and trying her luck. It’s even harder because I am so exhausted. Her speech isn’t also really taking off. She’s telling stories and talking in sentences now.

How are you feeling? Does this pregnancy feel different or the same as in the past?

I am way more tired, and hungry this time around. I also am having much worse nausea this time around. I’m getting frustrated and anxious with waiting so long for my first ob appointment. They aren’t taking me until 10w3d. It just seems so far away to know that everything is going ok.

I think we are going to be team green this time around. My husband isn’t on board yet because he really wants to know.
  • @mphillips2 I’m pulling so hard for team green again this time, and DH isn’t having any of it! I figure it’s our last time to have that fun surprise though, so I’m not gonna let it drop  :D

  • @gracie4400 I have been brown spotting as well. I *may* have taken another test this morning because it’s worrying me so much. Not that that actually tells me anything. I actually jus called the doctor and hopefully they’ll call me back tomorrow. Finger crossed for both of us it’s nothing!

  • @pensivecrayon thank you! I hope it lets up soon too!

@rosebud332 my doctor said it’s likely harmless and could be the placenta implanting, but it’s still so troubling. Let me know what your doc says. I’m thinking good thoughts for you!

  • @PensiveCrayon we had mention previously to the Pedi our concern with him catching on slow with crawling. At that time he said that DS was just behind the norm curve, but it wasn't far enough behind to be concerning.
@maureenmce He has had a couple ear infections, one was back in like August and he is just getting over one now. But overall he has been doing pretty good. He is the youngest in daycare. We do in home and there are 5 other kids. They are all about 3-4 years old, so they are all quite a bit older than him.
@runrinserepeat Thank you for the reassurance! I'm thinking it is more that he just doesn't want to do it more than anything else. It's tough when you see other kids his age or that are younger than him that started walking a long time ago. A couple friend of our, their baby was born on the exact same day. Their little girl was walking by like 10 months old. She is like way ahead of the curve!
